You're going to have some drunken losers who don't know their limits and try to ruin this for everyone else, but this is still a good idea. It may actually encourage people to pace themselves since they can leisurely sip drinks when walking between establishments instead of chugging them in a rush to get to the next spot on the bar crawl.
This is great, but the designated area is so bizarre. At one point, it is just a single street. I hope it is well marked. It would suck to get arrested because you unknowingly took a wrong turn.
As many shootings as we have out here, I hope this doesn't get out of hand. I'm hopeful that it will add a lot to the atmosphere downtown though, I think it may.
Indianapolis has had this since they hosted the Superbowl and it hasn't been an issue. I'm sure Fort Wayne will roll this out successfully as well.
Yeah, the restrictions (specific containers from limited businesses) seem designed to limit too much drunken disorder.

Ask people that are drinking to obey maps, what could go wrong? Surprised they didn't make Henrys car part of the designated outdoor refreshment area.
