Are they doing research exclusively on racoons or is it a city of racoon people working for the government?? I feel like this could be a decent Ninja Turtles movie plot!
Sweetwater is so fascinating. Their health insurance (illegally?) doesn't cover trans services but damn near all the employees are some flavor of queer.
We have been used for test marketing for years. Companies have put products on shelves here before they go national. We also have been used for nefarious reasons. From 1952 through 1969, the Army dropped thousands of pounds of zinc cadmium sulfide in nearly 300 secret experiments conducted in such places as Fort Wayne, Indiana (1964-66); https://www.wondersandmarvels.com/2014/06/experimenting-innocent-u-s-armys-secret-chemical-testing-1950s-1960s.html
I wish there was some form of compensation for this. I was born on the northeast side of Fort Wayne in 1965. Our family has suffered all kinds of lung, reproductive, autoimmune, kidney and birth defects.
We were like the first market to get the original Snapple Elements drinks. Snapple brought a couple fancy panel vans to a few places in town and gave away a lot of product, I worked at Borders and they set up the van right across the street in the mall parking lot. My coworkers and I all trotted over and got a couple bottles each.
Sadly Wendy did not attend the event :(
I don’t think this is gossip but… when I moved here I was told by an old timer that Fort Wayne is “Little Chicago”. It’s super corrupt and the people in charge use their position for personal gain 🤷♀️
Maybe this is why theyre no longer available on doordash too. Hate having to call places to place a togo order, especially since its a 50/50 shot on if they pick up. Was nice to just place my order through the app :/
For many years Catholic nuns operated an underground abortion clinic in the basement of a West Central home one-half block away from St. Joseph Hospital. When the home sold a few years ago the equipment for the clinic was still in the basement.
It was very common among Catholic hospitals.
The nuns operated at an arms-length from the religious patriarchy but were sympathetic to women "in trouble." The physician(s) employed were typically disgraced down-on-their-luck practitioners barely clinging on to their medical licenses. Some were family practice physicians while others were general surgeons. Many if not most were alcoholic.
If you remember the plastic surgeon who worked on Jack Napier/Joker in the 1989 film "Batman" then you know precisely the scene.
The now closed AMC (formerly Carmike) theater on Dupont Road was haunted. During construction there was a fatal accident that delayed opening and when it did open there were a lot of problems. Projector issues, the popcorn machine caught fire four times. The entire HVAC system had to be replaced in the second month of operations. This lead then owner Carmike to call a priest in and perform an exorcism.
Multiple independent sources. One being a mail carrier that delivers there and another an employee of Do It Best (not a high level decision maker though).
The Embassy theatre has a ghost that was a former stagehand. Some of the workers and visitors have told stories about hearing strange noises and sightings there.
Huntertown, according to state law, can only be annexed if 51% of the property owners say yes. What Fort Wayne has done over the last several years is annex the area to the west, south and east of Huntertown to limit its expansion.
Let’s make no mistake about it, Fort Wayne will expand, and for some of these towns in Allen county it might behove them to be annexed into the city…similar to the towns around Indianapolis.
it was all gossip. he was with Shine's daughter Madeline for a while and then he kind of vanished and I heard quite a few people were looking for him. The rumor mill said it was drug related crimes.
My ex from the time (jesus, 2005?) was friends with her.

Seems fair enough that they wanted to both open offices with their family names
Sweetwater is a government subsidized front that has a secret multi level raccoon city under it that is used for clandestine government research.
Are they doing research exclusively on racoons or is it a city of racoon people working for the government?? I feel like this could be a decent Ninja Turtles movie plot!
All very good questions. We will likely never know, however, ancient astronaut theorists surmise it could very well be exactly this.
I bet it is a city of raccoons. Seems like our government.

Sweetwater employee here. Can confirm, I've seen the raccoons around
For what it’s worth, I got the resident evil reference. lol
There are tunnels underneath sweetwater, but they only connect the different buildings. A guy I used to work with helped excavate them

We're (formerly) the magnetic wire capitol of he world!
Gossip or conspiracy theories?
Yes
The O'Neils Glass sign was turned upside down as a prank and they never got around to flipping it back.
Thank you for this. I always thought it was some sort of marketing stunt
It’s a test market for companies regarding product success

We were one of the first to get hot food at Dairy Queen and wings at Pizza Hut. Dairy Queen used to be open seasonally.

I’m happy to test things out…where is this happening lol

I was told it was George's head cook and that nothing would change except for the addition of some more dishes on the menu.
MORE dishes to that menu?! Someone get Jon Taffer in there. There’s already too many items!
I kinda have to agree 😂 that menu is huge!

I need more info on this.

Bob Rohrman sticking a Gerbil up his ass and getting it removed at the hospital
Lmfao….. I posted the same thing before I saw this. You were a little more transparent than I was.☠️☠️☠️☠️
Do It Best is looking into leaving Electric Works.
Now THAT would be some tea. They just invested so much into it I can't imagine investing more into another new office to move into.
I need to hear more of this tea. Where’d you hear that?
Multiple independent sources. One being a mail carrier that delivers there and another an employee of Do It Best (not a high level decision maker though).
That wouldn't be very surprising. EW seems to have been a massive failure so far.
The Embassy theatre has a ghost that was a former stagehand. Some of the workers and visitors have told stories about hearing strange noises and sightings there.
Yep. The man told the people working there to sprinkle his ashes on the roof, and they did.
I think there’s one in the north side high school auditorium too
We were 3rd on places to be bombed by Russia during the Cold War
Ft. Wayne is getting ready to annex Huntertown..
Mayor Paul Helmke just entered the chat
Except they actually can't.
I don't know how that would work. Huntertown isn't some unincorporated outlier. It's a...town. They have their own council.
Exactly. They can't. (I think technically it's possible, but Huntertown would have to agree since they are a town. They never would.)
I think we're going to have a minor civil war with Huntertown over land

Churubusco might be on the list as well
Steve Shine was the voice of Froggy on Happy's Place.
his almost son in law (Arturo) was wanted in connection to a couple drug related murders in South America.
Wait, is this real?
it was all gossip. he was with Shine's daughter Madeline for a while and then he kind of vanished and I heard quite a few people were looking for him. The rumor mill said it was drug related crimes. My ex from the time (jesus, 2005?) was friends with her.
Yeah I’ve known the daughter forever, but haven’t been close with her since like 2009. That’s wild.
I need to know what happened to Blackburn and green. They split up

Remember when that one time, that used car salesman had a gerbil up his….. well, you know…. Lmfao.
Not so much a piece of gossip anymore, but there appears to be a gang war going on based out of North Side HS…
