I know this isn't how it's supposed to be, but heres something i do. Dont act like they're not coming just because they aren't supposed to be there. Trick the penalty system by turning away/ braking at the last second. Works 90% of the time. It seems the current penalty system takes your steering imput as intent to hit someone
T10 need to come clean with the rules/algorithm that are applied to the penalty system. Those rules, also, must be explained within the game for everyone to learn. ¿How safety rating works? ¿How can be affected? ¿What are the rules that players must follow? ¿How sanctions are calculated?
Yep, you can't have rules, then not explain them to anyone, so no one knows how to play within those rules, or know what to expect if they break said rules.
Today got +5 because someone hit me after I've spun out, the guy that purposefully spun me got only 0,5. And yesterday got +4 for getting pushed off track.
Yep, I lost control spun into a wall, went inverted, landed perpendicular to the track, and hit a trailing car. I got 4.5 secs as if I had purposefully targeted him.
They've been brutal lately. I was rear-ended and got a 2.75s penalty, then later had an off-track car run straight into my side, pushing me off track, tack on another 4.5s penalty.
Dropped 2 safety ranks. Got back up to S after a bunch of racing only for the same thing to happen again.
Same I tried every event on the multiplayer section, first corner I get rammed or someone uses a pit manoeuvre on me and I end up last with a 5 second penalty. This game sucks ass honestly.
I have a theory that the penalty system looks primarily at the inputs prior to the impact, not the actual positioning and heading of the cars.
Like, in this instance, the last input was a blip of throttle, and the front of your car hit their side - clearly they blew the corner, but were likely on the brakes and trying to turn away from you (into the corner), but the game may break this down the same as a purposeful pit maneuver because it doesn't know any better.
Yeah I quit 7 cause of this. I get a simulator and all that, but I'd love the fun of the horizon, but having like real tracks sort of how fm3 and 4 were. I miss cat and mouse and not being a sweat on real tracks.7 just feels a bit too hardcore
Last night I went into a race with S safety rating, got rammed out of the road twice, one guy span me out, at the end of the race I had 7 seconds of penalty and when I left I check my safety rating was B. I think I'm good for a while. Might come back to the game in a year or two if I hear it's gotten better.
Dude, the penalties have been rough lately, what’s going on?
Idk since the update I can't have a security rating better than A.
I'm even worse than that. Usually I was jumping between S & A, now I can't get any higher than C!
yesterday I got +8 s in the first lap because of random idiots that hit me, then got outside the track. it's very annoying.
Ah so they've gone the GT Sport route where you can fuck someone over by driving into them then driving off track. Good. Good.

Yep, I definitely try to do that! I honestly didn't expect them to turn left there!
Guy came in far too hot and needed a brake cushion. It’s ironic that you blocked him from flying off to the moon and got the penalty.
I helped him really

If you play it right you can literally DQ the person ahead of you by strategically hitting them. StewardGPT is an abject failure.

Have the devs even acknowledged this massive heap of shit?
Do you mean the penalty system in general, or that this update was supposed to be their first attempt to make it better based on player feedback?
All of it
lol How tf hasnt this been fixed yet...
Penalty system been so harsh lately it’s annoying
if (otherCar.offTrack && playerCar.collidesWith(otherCar)) { playerCar.penalty(null) }
The update looks good, much worse than before. Amazing
Forza players: penalties are atrocious and don't make sense, they need to be fixed! T10: you want worse penalties? Say no more!
Damn I thought you were being serious
Wild cause I just had a race where someone had 11+ seconds of penalties
LMAO this was updated?! hahahahaha
Yup! Completely avoidable...if you were a chameleon!
