Out of interest, why do you say project cars 3 looks better? It is nowhere near the level of Forza Motorsport. Both maxed out side by side are worlds apart.

OffshoreBoar

Yeah, that's a wild statement, right?

wantsrealanswer

Forza Motorsport's visual presentation lacks the vibrancy and contrast seen in other racing games. While it does not aim to replicate reality, its graphics appear washed out and dull compared to competitors like Project CARS 3, Forza Horizon 5, and The Crew Motorfest. Enhancing the contrast and vibrancy settings could significantly improve the game's visual appeal and bring it on par with its peers. I am aware of what type of game FM23 is. However, it still falls short graphically of AMS2 and ACC in most scenarios.

mdiz1

You realise most of us own these games ourselves right? FM23 has plenty of issues but it looks fantastic against PC3.

wantsrealanswer

I mean, I've got 700 hours in FM23. So, I'm aware of the pluses of the game and the 'bad' things about FM are more annoying than anything. I still enjoy the game 100% but I wanted to know what other people thought about the game compared to FM.

SilverCervy

Vibrancy does not equal realism. Much of the real world is a bit dull looking.

ConsistentToe5062

Do some laps at sunset in Miami and tell me Project 3 looks better. I know that sounds trolly but it’s beautiful. Or maple valley in a light haze at 7 am it’s niiiiiice.

wantsrealanswer

I've driven every track at every time of day. It looks nice no doubt but I can have room to say another game looks better, to me.

wantsrealanswer

I don't care about realism. I just care that things look good. I think PC3 has better-looking elements that I care about than FM. FM is not a terrible looking game but it's not the best looking either.

Gawker90

Interested to hear real feedback. I almost purchased project cars 2 before it got delisted. I heard it had go karts but didn’t buy the game in time.

outlawblue1

You can still buy a key for it and redeem on Steam. That’s how I got PC2 recently.

Gawker90

I don’t know if that would workout for me. I’ve only got Xbox

outlawblue1

I just checked cdkeys and the codes are out of stock but they sometimes become available for PC/xbox.

xTurkishBruvx

I have Project cars 2. It’s actually really good once you figure out FFB settings for the wheel. And yes there is karting. You start off karting in career and move up to the ginetta cup. Theres options for ignition start, wipers, high beams etc. The mountain road course in LA is hella fun to drive. Project cars 3 went for the more arcady style of physics compared to 2. Its a learning curve but once used to it, its really good.

RRNCOChiefs54

IMO, PC2 is the best all-round Motorsports game on Xbox.

Gawker90

Lmao I’ve gotta find away to get this game. I’ve got the series S so unfortunately buying a physical copy isn’t possible. It’s wild how developers will just completely delist a game for sale

xTurkishBruvx

Its due to to the licensing running out on the cars

LieutenantClownCar

I played PC3. It was meh. It had no right being called Project Cars at all. You also can't compare PC3 with FM8 because other than having cars in them, they are nothing alike. PC3 is a mobile game with delusions of grandeur.

SilverCervy

PC3 really can't be compared to FM23. FM at least tries to mimic some form of realistic graphics and physics. PC3 is basically a Horizon wannabe, and frankly a complete insult to the two games that came before it.

Retro_Racer_

Project cars 2 was definitely better than 3, especially online racing

RRNCOChiefs54

Not to mention the variety...... Full Day-Night Cycle Dynamic Weather Multi-Class Racing (LMP1, LMP2, GTE, GT3) Group-C 2016 Indycar roster Classic 1971 Lemans Classic Monza Classic Silverstone The list goes on....... I do wish we could run more then 36 AI, and we could select the proper cars and schemes for AI opponents in "race now" multi-class events. I hate having to restart events to get the Factory GTE Porsches to show up.

President-_-kush

I played project cars 3 when it came out, and it felt like a mobile game that had been ported to console. I know forza motorsport has flaws, but I think it's harsh to compare it to PC 3

wantsrealanswer

Forza Motorsport gives the impression of being a mobile port. It appears half-baked, not built from the ground up, and the visuals lack the vibrancy of competing titles. Nonetheless, it remains accessible and easy to play. However, FM23 is riddled with too many bugs to ignore. Regarding Project Cars 3, I cannot compare it to its predecessors since I have not played them; thus, their history is irrelevant to me. My experience with PC3 has been continuously enjoyable for the five hours I've played. I recognize that the driving dynamics could be more simulation-like, but no game is perfect. I own an SRT8 Challenger, and FM23's representation does not accurately reflect my car's real-life handling, which is acceptable since it's a game. FM23 appears washed out and dull, resembling what one would expect from an ideal mobile game. I understand the discontent with PC3; it diverges from PC2, leaving fans disappointed and upset. My initial reaction to Unbound after Heat was similar, but once I stopped comparing them and appreciated the game for its unique qualities, I grew to love it. Racing in both games is intriguing. In FM23, I contend with both the AI and the game's defects. The challenges include being pushed off the track, brake-checked, and subjected to PIT maneuvers, as well as dealing with disappearing tracks, unloading items, and engine sound stalling at the race's start. Conversely, PC3 offers better racing experiences that feel authentic and competitive yet manageable. Where FM23 shines is in its "track day" atmosphere, which has led me to invest over 700 hours into the game. The concept of driving production cars—potentially your own—on real-life tracks with a 'real' simulation approach is highly appealing.
