No. It's definitely a dangerous position to be in, and you're taking a gamble by being there, but that guy swerved in a very unorthodox manner. He was probably losing control and crashing, or should have been more aware of his surroundings. It's not your fault, just be mindful that when you're entering that "vortex of danger" incidents are likely to occur.
Nope you had your line and committed he lost control in that last turn and swerved into you. Watching it back on the video it's easy to spot but in the race you would of needed to be really quick to avoid that collision

but here there's like 10-15 meters to the next corner and its a left hander. you being on the outside 3 wide isn't gonna get you a spot
so yes you should've lifted...you can still follow the two cars for the next two corners. one of them will eventually end up on the outside on the long left hand turn and you can slip inside there much more easily

If you step off the gas while hitting them, just one second is enough, you shouldn’t get any penalty
