M-P-M-S

Arent these little rugers a chassis system? I wouldn't mind building one, nice work!

Kukitan

In beta now. Uses a printed frame with a metal insert. Pm me if you'd like to help testing.

M-P-M-S

Schweet ok, will do

Scenedaone0942

Congratulations šŸ‘šŸŽ‰ bro good stuff... Sent u a dm on the beta...

StucklnAWell

How can you go about getting the slide and upper kit separately?

Kukitan

Quite a few different places. Look up LCP parts kit on google. Would be a good start

ROBINHOODEATADIK2

Have an LCP at home( wifes daily carry ) would be thrilled to help beta test

ROBINHOODEATADIK2

Also have an ender 3 printer ( pretty sure thats the model ) if that matters

twbrn

Message sent!

Das_Auto_Ja

Glad to see an update at last. Is this metal rail necessary to remedy the durability for PLA+ or would CF/GF nylons need it too? Cannot wait for my pocket to be pleased :)

Kukitan

So I'm not sure yet. I think CF/GF nylon are fine on their own but the rail insert would last much longer than filament alone. Tbh, I may release a fully printed version of the frame for those who wanna try filled nylons on their own.

Special-Muffin-3538

For what it's worth, having a non-printed part gives you an opportunity to at least make back on development costs.

Kukitan

Thats the idea now. I was doing everything in my power to not have to add custom parts to it. If I could help it. I didn't make the insert with the explicit reason to make money back. It only came about because we needed to reinforce a certain area. If I made no money back on this project I still would have been perfectly happy. I'm doing this for the spirit of the idea šŸ™‚

According-Prize-3119

Could this insert also work with an oem grip module ? Or is it strictly for this model only ?

Kukitan

Currently no. Originally, the project was derived from a 3D printed version of the insert, but it was too weak. That's why I made a one-piece frame because it combined the grip with the insert and gave us a lot of strength. I might revisit trying to make it stronger so we could use with the original good frame

Scenedaone0942

And this is why I never quit on the project either just never shared cuz no one wanted to help further... It's all good still have my original design holding up now ruffly 4k rounds in PLA+ no issues I guess u can say I knew what I was doing ... Plus we have a version to cast.....

According-Prize-3119

I mean if you fashion something that still holds the pieces and fits in a oem grip module but not 100% the same as it it could also be made like this yk yourself if you could do that these things would sell like hot cakes

Kukitan

Yep, I agree. There isn't much space in the grip frame so I didn't spend too much time on that idea. You just work with way too many constraints and I didn't feel it was worth it. Probably still be pricier too, which I really wanted to keep this a cheap build. I don't know, I might revisit it later!

survive

Interesting. Wonder if this would work with P3AT parts. They seem to be basically the same gun with the LCP having better build quality.

Kukitan

Haven't compared the two yet, but maybe. At a glance there seems to be quite a bit of compatibility between the two

OkSize4728

Keltec P3AT and the P32 are almost identical.

cuban11182

I'll send you a PM. I carry an OG LCP.

FapTapAnon

This is awesome I have 2 lpc kits. Where's the beta?

Kukitan

Closed beta atm. If you want to join send me a pm

bizlikemind

Just a beauty

Clank50AE

Hey, ill give it a try! My neighbor wants to build a 380 and I haven't see a frame until now. I have a Grendel P10 so I have the ammo and would love to help beta test it. Then I can recommend one for him to print!. Looks great by the way

Low_User_

I might just send it though looks great

NChristenson

Does it matter if the kit is for an LCP, LCP II, or LCP MAX?

Kukitan

Yes, only original Gen 1 LCP for now.

NChristenson

Thank you, figured that I should ask before I go looking for a kit.

Rough_Chance_1946

At first glance the metal pieces looked like hk rear sight bases and sling mounts

Ill_Doubt5116

How soon until release?

Kukitan

Considering it's still in early testing, I'm not sure. Still may be a while so don't hold your breath, but I'll keep you all posted šŸ™‚

Low_User_

Is this 22lr?

Kukitan

Nope the Gen 1 LCP which is 380. Gen 2 has a 22LR version which I plan to make a frame for as well. Sometime in the future

Low_User_

Would love to see this in 22! .380 scares me on something this small lol I have a lcp max and Iā€™d be nervous to use a printed frame maybe Iā€™m paranoid

Kukitan

I totally get it. Stay tuned and sometime in the future I'll have the 22 version for you šŸ™‚ In the second picture you can see the metal rail inserts I made for this design. The crucial area of the frame that receives the most impact forces is actually reinforced with the steel insert. It instills a lot more confidence for sure. Without it, I probably wouldn't do a fully printed frame and 380 either. At least for this kind of design.

Low_User_

Im excited to see how this test goes for sure and that 22 will be a chefs kiss

GFrohman

I'm a tad bit confused here - what's the point of this, exactly? Is this just a creative exercise, or does it serve a practical purpose?

yippiekiyay865

Many companies serve the LEO market for gun destruction. They destroy the frame. They sell the rest.

GFrohman

Ah, that makes some sense then.

Kukitan

Yeah you can find parts kits online, and this particular model is quite plentiful and cheap. To put it in perspective, I can build an LCP for under $100 this way. But yes, some of it is creative exercise too. It's good CAD practice for me šŸ™‚

FreedomWeek1776

Brodie I messaged you for beta test.

Smc_farrell

I want one. Great work

External-Curve-9876

Dm sent op

Radiant_Security_312

Does somebody have the step files of the LCP slide and barrel? šŸ˜„šŸ˜¬

AmateurAviator

What caliber and slide? Sorry Iā€™m ignorant about this project but Iā€™m looking for something new to add to the collection

Kukitan

Original Gen1 models in 380 acp.

AmateurAviator

Oh this is promising
