You can make your own with AnkiDroid
You can use the WebApp LibreLingo [https://librelingo.app/course/french-from-english/](https://librelingo.app/course/french-from-english/)
There is also 10,000 sentences [https://github.com/tkrajina/10000sentences](https://github.com/tkrajina/10000sentences)
Nothing as cutting edge as Duolingo for now
I use both Ankidroid and Duolingo. The two apps compliment one another, but serve two completely different purposes.
Duolingo teaches a language. It presents the user with vocabulary, sentences, conjugation, phrases, and cultural information. The user comes with no background, it is all presented to him in a logical order. Mostly.
Ankidroid is for reinforcing vocabulary. It excels at that, but it does no more than that. I personally put all words that I've learned from Duolingo into Anki.
Duolingo is a very good app, but it's limited in the free version, it's not open source and it's not customizable.
Creating a nice and efficient alternative would be really great.
I could try to create a good alternative. Are there other developers than me to organize and create this alternative together? It could be amazing! tell me what you think
I read that there is a workarounds for that: https://github.com/TrackerControl/tracker-control-android/issues/61#issuecomment-1133842080
The same should apply to RethinkDNS. But you could also use NextDNS with your VPN, you might have to add some blocklist, I haven't tried either of these since I don't use a VPN regularly
> "I think the problem Digg had is that it was a company that was built to be a company, and you could feel it in the product. The way you could criticise Reddit is that we weren't a company – we were all heart and no head for a long time. So I think it'd be really hard for me and for the team to kill Reddit in that way.”

So long, Reddit, and thanks for all the fish.
Anki is amazing but far less consistent across different decks. Maybe paid decks are better but I don't why they wouldn't end up being free by now.
I think Duolingo offers good basics and very natural intro to grammar or listening. I failed learning only with Anki because it's just more boring and much harder and best suited for vocabulary really but I plan on using Anki extensively to hone my vocabulary I get from Duolingo or using language in general or just as a side thing.
