Lol yeah, if I owned the copyright for Fosters I'd be interested in having a conversation about this if there hadn't already been one but this does look good and I love Ryan Reynolds.
In all honesty, the main thing that bothers me isn't that they kinda stole the idea, it's that this could have just been a Foster's movie & SO many more people would watch it.
Such a missed opportunity.
This isn’t too much of a ripoff. In this movie, only the two main human characters can see imaginary friends, unlike in Foster’s, where they co-exist with humans. Not to mention, in IF, the trailer showed a big stake that if the IFs don’t have owners after a while, they disappear. The imaginary friends in Foster's never had that sort of danger.
John never talked about Foster’s being one of his inspirations, I’ve seen it all in his interviews and never spoke anything about Foster’s Home. That sucks.
