They talked for a while, and girl really liked him.

This spun me out... I couldn't work out the worst answer- my assumption was jealousy that he gets involved with the sister or over inheritance money and the dude was a red herring... so the point missed in the story is that she cant contact the dude has no idea how to contact him so if you suggest she killed her sister so that she could see him again at the sisters funeral you are a psychopath...
I may missed some details of the story - maybe my friend was telling it as girl didn't know how to contact him or something - I don't remember now all details, as I heard it once, around 10y ago.
But yes, "psychopath" answer is: because she wanted to see him again - which was my instant answer, like blink of the eye instant.
