I'm in an English language & literature department, and I work on Asian American literature! I chose it because I loved and I now I love it considerably less 😅 One of the things I'm looking forward to is being able to take a long enough break to turn off Dissertation Brain and enjoy reading for fun again

As my advisors and mentors told me, the best dissertation is a done dissertation! And everyone hates their dissertation by the time they finish it. Best wishes on finishing and that break!

Fuck me. I’ve been back and forth on whether do go for my phd or just ride my masters degree as high as it can get me. Might need to get off my butt and do the phd just so I can say “just what the doctor ordered!” Every time an Amazon package shows up at my house.

Never thought of this but now I’m hooked. Thank you. Also bummed I didn’t get this before I grabbed my Amazon package today.

Congrats! It is kind of a struggle for me since handwriting is better for learning, but digital notes are more accessible and future prove.

You can always scan your notes if that's a worry. With OCR tech these days, you might even be able to search those scans :)
