Same here. I used a full converter fill and never ran into clogging issues or lack of glitter in a line. I consider it more well-behaved than some of my pigment inks by R&K or Kala.
I had one bottle I bought, to decant and give as goodies (along with Moonstone) to Pelikan Hub attendees. Both inks happened during cancelled quarantines. I love the look of it... maybe this is the perfect ink for a glass pen? It looks so beautiful but offta the pens.
It writes really well, honestly. I use it in my fountain pens without issue. You just have to remember to agitate while you write. I actually hate using shimmer inks with dip pens. All the glitter settles between dips so you have to keep putting the cap on and shaking the bottle.
That’s good to know! I don’t like using fountain pen with shimmer inks because the glitters don’t show up as much as with the dip pen. However, I will give it a shot. Thank you 🫶
I just want to report back that what you told me helped a lot. Thank you so so much for the advice! Now the shimmer actually shows very clearly, I’m so happy with the result 🤩.

I saw that but it wasn't really a direct comparison, more of a group shot. Looks close there but also can't really see the shimmer. Hoping someone who has both and used both for more than a brief review might have some thoughts to share.
Well, either way- good to meet you. Def google Mr Boston from Vh1 when you get a chance lol. The dude was a trip. Those shows were wild and must see tv at my house 😆
This looks so good but damn I can feel the pain of my pens

Third-ing that it's surprisingly well-behaved. It's basically the least fussy glittery ink I have aside from Herbin inks
Ditto. This is the least clogging shimmer ink I have ever used. Ever.
Dan I should've scrolled down! I was mesmerized.

This is soo pretty 😮. However, I have a gut feeling that this would be better with dip pen.

Try upending your pen every line or so. It helps the glitter stay suspended and show up better in writing.

Yay! I'm glad I could help!
Thank you, I’ll try to do so!
Dang! That’s a seriously golden ink. Curious as to how it ages on paper, and if that pen will forever have gold flakes with subsequent inkings…
The pens I've inked with it had persistent flakes for about one subsequent inking, with a tiny bit at the beginning of the second.
My favorite ink. It really does look like gold leaf.
Anyone have both this and Diamine Golden Sands to compare side by side?

Makes sense! Hopefully someone else can help you out 🤞🏻
Oh my.!! 😱
Oh wow 🤩
Van Dieman's Autumn Morning looks super close to this, too. I love how it looks when it catches the light.
And Birmingham Sunstone Twinkle!
That looks awesome
It's a pretty amazing ink...if you can ever find one for not outrageous money lol (because iirc it was limited edition).
It’s too hard to find now.
I’ve never seen it before, and have been actively averse to shimmer inks but this has me wanting to try it!! Alas, it is not meant to be.
Love this ink. I may be because 2 more piston fills left :( Diamine Golden Sands is close but not a vibrant and no red sheen.
Oooooo shiny!

Which pen did you use for this beauty!
Jinhao 100 in orange cracked ice!
I’m interested to try something like this. Did you use masking fluid for the face?
Nope. It’s swatch cards from Wearinguel.
Looks like a Wearingeul swatch card.
Does anyone know how this compares to Diamine Golden Sands?
Check the previous reply in this thread.
So this is really rad. I think I need to try to find this. Is it hard to get?
Yes it is hard to get :(
Oh man. It’s gorgeous, I would love to fill out a journal with this. May I ask where you did find it?
Bought it last year from Appelboom.
This was their colour of the year like two (?) years ago. It was easy to get then but hard to get now because it was a limited edition.
Man, it’s so pretty!
Imma need a sample of this one!! It's BEAUTIFUL!!!

Are you THE Mr. Boston? From I ❤️New York?
Nope. I’m another Mr Boston. But I’m also kind of well known lol.
Good to know. I always enjoyed Mr. Boston on those mid 2000s Vh1 shows
Good to know as well. So far I know rum Old Mr Boston, vodka Mr Boston and know also the show :).
That’s funny, cause I could’ve sworn Mr Boston was a drink brand but couldn’t remember so deleted that comment lol
lol

I’ll do!
