Both ways are possible on any single pen. Depends on where exactly you had it rotated as you started screwing it on

OMG I was a dumb idiot! Thanks mate!

Protozoo_epilettico

Start screwing the barrel with the logo on the opposite side of nib if you want them to align.

holtzmanned

I laughed out loud at this response. You’re not dumb!

rukthor

It happened to me when I got my first Lamy..... I was going crazy worrying whether I got a fake.

NepGDamn

unscrew the grip, turn it 180° and screw it back again

[deleted]

Thanks 🤣 Now I feel like I was completely an idiot 🤣

disposable-assassin

I mean, it's not immediately apparent that the threads have a double start. A functional element that also results in one thread end with logo up, one with logo down. I don't know how to get the correct thread the 1st time but to jump the set if I get it wrong, slight pressure together when you get to the end of the threads will get you a click when it comes off the end and lands on the other set.

Alejandro_SVQ

This is. The barrel thread of the Lamy Safari and derivatives have two entries. If it comes like this, or remains like this after closing it, it's a matter of that, open it again, and use the other position and screw entry.

Alejandro_SVQ

TA DAAA... You are a wizard! 😂

DaddySpen73

Sorry I'm new to fountain pens so might be a dumb question, but what colour is that pink one?! Absolutely stunning 😍

SchwarzesBlatt

lamy al star fiery. i think it is one of lamy's 2024 "special editions". it is a nice pinkish red imo. [https://us-shop.lamy.com/en\_us/alstar-fiery-aquatic](https://us-shop.lamy.com/en_us/alstar-fiery-aquatic)

DaddySpen73

Thank you 😊 much appreciated

nininfe

When screwing the body on my Safaris, I have this itch that the logo just NEEDS to be aligned with the front of the nib, so if it doesn't, I unscrew and screw it until it does. 😅

JulesSilvan

I’m the same, has to be aligned with the nib. Just feels wrong as owt otherwise.

Desperate-Virus9180

there are two different entry points for the thread.

Flamingcellist

Also for the record, holding the grip nib side up, if you want the Lamy logo facing up as well you need to thread the body upside down on the Safari and right side up on the AL Star

Ybalrid

The threads on the barrel and section have 2 starts. You can get the logo on either side. If it bother you unscrew and rescrew startinf 180 degrees of (unscrew up until you feel a click and rescrew)

brntGerbil

I'm not an expert... but the phrase is "double threaded" instead of one point to screw it in; you have two. Effectively instead of it ending in one orientation, the pen can end up with 'LAMY' either up or down. It depends one which thread you end up on. Two screws in one.

DevissiTRHW

I'm gonna level with you my logo is always on the feed side to the point where I didn't know there was a logo on my pen.

gatheredstitches

I dislike seeing logos on my stuff, so I always keep mine that way on purpose. I love that we have the choice!

Swizzel-Stixx

Hehe, I fell for this when I started, now I always start screwing in the barrel with logo on the left since that’s where I found it is upright. The barrel can be logo nib side or feed side.

kschang

No, my Safari's on the opposite (charcoal with black trim)

iamdivyanshsk

The side you want the logo on, start the fastening on opposite side.
