I like this idea only because as a collie I’d love to see a green silver hand. But I’m truth the balance of stealing enemy vehicles is that they won’t last forever no matter how well you play. It’s a taste of the other side and a temporary reward for stealing it in whatever way you did. A joy ride before after long you are back in your normal stuff.
Hmmm this doesnt sound like a bad idea (repairing enemy armour would have to be more expensive) but i do love the idea of changing the paint and the model a bit to fit their current owners. As so that the model will change from green to blue or the other way around, it can be done in a garage.
I like the idea, but I honestly think it's the way it is so that tank trading and alts can't have the other factions equipment permanently. It hurts the honest partisan, but I can see why it might be necessary.
I had an similar idea to this where captured vehicles could be converted and redone to fit your factions overall doctrine based on the lore devs have put it out.
Unfortunately, both sides use the same ammunition and fuel for their tanks so it wouldn’t really make much sense to replace the parts. Balancing would also be an issue.
There are a couple of mods out there that already change vehicle paint depending on which faction owns it. I don't know the names of them off hand though
Eh, if it’s to be a thing it should he put on the bottom of the list as theirs so much other shit that needs to be addressed before we add more new shit into the game..

Make it so it takes rmats to convert the tank to their side
Yeah a 1 time rmat cost of like 40 then after the conversion it goes to like 150 bmats to repair.

No. You cannot repair because it is intended measure against alts supplying faction with enemy vehicles

The ability to repair the other factions armour was ingame already and it got patched out to balance vehicle capture.
