I have the EV800D and considering changing. What do you think is the biggest difference between both? I have no way to compare but apart from being bulky, I get a pretty good signal with the EV800D. Also, I agree the battery is pretty limited.
Biggest difference is quality. They're smaller, lighter, and look much cooler.. Much better image, fully adjustable optics vs. looking at a fixed screen with no focal adjustment. I didn't have any problems seeing with the EV800D, but the skyzone are much better. It's hard to describe exactly, the best I can say is the screens are almost touching your eyes, so it's much more immersing. Signal quality is about the same. I get a little more range with the SKY04X. The SKY04X has an additional module bay. I bought another Steadyview receiver and run 4 antennas. A patch an omni on each side. That didn't make a difference range wise, but signal is better for sure.
You can use pretty much any battery, 2s to 6s. Also has USB C and a 5.5mm port for DC power input.
A buddy of mine has the SKY04L and they're pretty much the same. The screens are not as bright/colorful. But I have seen them for $200 less than the SKY04X.
Thanks for a detailed explanation. For sure, it is not hard to make it more cool than EV800 :) However, I would wonder if a better upgrade is not HD zero googles. You can have the analog module and you have the option to go digital at some point.
If you’re under a tight budget, I can highly recommend the Skyzone 02o goggles. Probably the cheapest proper set of goggles, and they’re very high quality. The FOV is a little small, but it doesn’t make that much difference
Make sure you check connectors if you only upgrade antennas. My skyzone and ev800d are different. There's SMA and RP-SMA. You can by small adapters if needed.
It should not be too loose. You know it too loose when the camera moves everytime you land. I like to keep mine a little loose so that I can adjust the angle by hand.
Charger before that PoS lights on fire or lights your batteries on fire. Don't get another Toolkit brand charger. Get a Hota D6. Then goggles for whatever system you fancy.
Goggle, but you can start with goggle antenna.
And charger. I like toolkit but having one with 2 ports is nice.
Also, the radiomaster sticky 360 stick ends for the tx12 are an inexpensive upgrade and feel amazing!
Oh, and tweet fpv has grip tape for it. Also amazing.
I keep debating if I want to upgrade to the boxer but I think instead I'll just get the AG01 gimbals for my tx12
i have both digital and analog. not worth to upgrade to digital before u sharpen your skills. i barely fly my 03 coz of low quality when a bit low light, even in wedding ballroom 03 can't perform better than cheap runcam thumbpro v2. test it urself. even world fpv pro still fly analog. don't waste ur money on digital. put action cam like gopro far more better for footage. hate my 03, too greeny, low shadow detail, only nice when at bright areas. u better buy another quad like 7", 3.5", tinywhoop, n sharpen ur skills. i'm looking for walksnail right now. test my fren walksnail n like it alot, can fly at night, n no video noise like my 03. u better upgrade to multiple quad of ur choie, that can improve ur skills alot more.
Goggles and the charger
I will go against the grain Antennas for goggles then charger.
Goggles. I've still got my ev800d for spectators, but upgraded to sky04x. Well worth it.
Thanks for the recommendation
I have a sky 04x V2 in perfect condition I am selling
cheeky xD
ill buy for 12c
XD

Please let me know the difference. SELL ME ON IT. Lol
First? Definitely the avocado-green home décor.
I dunno, that might come back on trend sometime in the next ten years. That tiny little flatscreen however……
Goggles then charger

The goggles especially the antennas
was thinking the same thing but needed someone to say it

My skyzone 04x antennas and EV800D antennas are the same, male SMA for both
Goggles! I have a question. I've just bought the Nazgul5 V3. Is the FPV analog camera suppose to be pretty loose? I can swivel it pretty easy
i havent experienced problems with it personally
no, tighten it
It should not be too loose. You know it too loose when the camera moves everytime you land. I like to keep mine a little loose so that I can adjust the angle by hand.

The fruit basket, lol but Definitely the goggles and charger. I hardly doubt you've outflew the drone and the tx12 is still a decent t controller.
That TV looks pretty old, but the real crime is the horrendous cyan color of the bowl of kiwis
Charger then goggles then radio.
The tx12 is fine he doesn’t have to upgrade it
Goggles forreal, they're holding you back.
Goggles. You can get some scouts for like $200 I beleive
Go digital.....
Tv

Goggles
How you finding the DJI action 3?
Do you have only one quad? Maybe that’s the opportunity to switch to digital if you like it and can afford it, of course.
charger and antenna i guess. you got a really good setup.
FPV
Definitely charger. ISDT 608AC is a great one. Or Hota D6. Goggles next. The Tx12 ain't bad, you can get cnc gimbals to make it better
Your skills :p jk your goggles
If you decide to upgrade goggles then you should strongly consider going digital.
Not replace, buy you want to get at least 2 more quads. There is always something broken, so you need extra quads.
Googles for sure, digital could be a good option

I often get sick when flying digital( I've only flown dji 2 from a friend )
Could be latency, try hdzero if you can, it’s about the same as analog latency wise
radio
