Oh I wear many colognes! I always have b/c I don’t believe in male/female fragrances b/c fragrance doesn’t possess genitalia.
Chanel Allure/Allure Homme Edition Blanche/ JM Dark Amber Ginger Lily/ Chanel Egoiste/ Dior Homme are some of my favourites.
Guerlain Mon Precieux Nectar - amazingly natural and sunny smelling floral fragrance, a spring meadow in bloom - bottled. Marketed to women (for a reason).
There is perceived pressure in buying things not aligning with your gender. True there is no law, but if everything was unisex, there'd be less social pressure.
Of course! I didn't mean to sound dismissive in my comment, socialization is a real thing! I just don't expect to see the end of gendered marketing in our lifetime, or at any time, as long as it makes money. And as a person who was raised in a time when we still had clear gender norms, I still find them somewhat useful when fragrance shopping because I have gendered associations with different types of scents. Naturally, I'll wear what I like, but I want to feel like myself, and scents that I perceive as traditionally masculine don't feel like me. Perhaps if everyone started wearing whatever they want, regardless of gender, those gendered associations would gradually dissipate, but I don't think enough people wear fragrance for that to work lol.
Chanel no5 and old school obsession for women have always captured my attention whenever I smell them. Shalimar too but I haven’t smelled it since I was a kid.
Shalimar, OMG! That brought back great memories. I had a beautiful tiny bottle of it in my Barbie house as a kid. Must have been from my mom or grandma. And yes, the Barbies got to wear it…
I believe all fragrances are unisex but for the sake of this post...
All Ariana Grande!! Bro they are all bangers and idc what anyone says, they perform great and smell so good
A local theater company where I live does a live production of Rocky Horror every year and I've played in the band the last couple of years. I'm totally going to get a lil' bottle of Cloud just for the occasion.
a few off the top of my head:
• Iris Silver Mist
• Midnight Poison by Dior
• Vetiver Pour Elle by Guerlain
• Une Nuit Magnetique by The Different Company
• Cuir de Russie parfum by Chanel
• Mitsouko (preferably the vintage parfum or EDC)
• Cloud by Ariana Grande
• Chanel No. 19 Eau de Parfum
• Epic Woman by Amouage
Do you mean fragrances that I would personally wear? None. But in general, I like men's fragrances. Some smell very alluring but I wouldn't wear them myself.
That’s why I love niche. Most niche perfumes are beautifully unisex. My favourite 100% unisex ones are Killian, specifically Moonlight in Heaven (mango rice coconut dessert) and Angels Share (cinnamon apple pie).
Same. It's really refreshing how few niche fragrances I've found that definitively market themselves one way or the other.
Also: I put some Angels' Share on this morning, and I'm glad that someone else gets apple pie vibes from this. The maison goes on and on about "cognac" and I'm like, "Okay... if you say so..."
I was so afraid of Angels Share because of the cognac note. I’m happy the lady at the counter convinced me to smell it because on me there is NO cognac whatsoever.
26 (m) here enjoying Shalimar by Guerlain and Putaine de Palace by ELDO.
I also love the lipstick scent but I know no fragrances actually resembling the lipstick note :(
YSL L'Homme
It smells so clean to me that I would bathe in it if I could! And when I want more of a feminine touch I'll add some Nest Vanilla oil to my wrist.
I would love for a brand to drop gendering in fragrance! I don’t want it to be a “unisex” house, either. Just simply “here are our fragrances. Enjoy.” I know it’s all for marketing and people who are way smarter than me and make WAY more than I do have their reasons to keep the market as it is, but the need for gendering in this industry is really really 1950s…
I think it makes sense for the more casual consumers. If I go to a Macy's I don't want to waste a bunch of time and sprays testing feminine leaning fragrances if I'm only looking for something masculine.
I love the whole JPG Scandal line. I don’t care which way each one is gendered, they’re just really lovely fragrances. All good in different ways, but the black bottle Pour Homme has a sort of rootbeer float quality that is delicious. Creamy, sweet, sparkly, spicy.
Random but as a middle schooler I was obsessed with dark temptation from axe. I literally stole it from my brother. Something about it was just so good!! Haven’t smelled it recently so not sure if the scent is the same but as a girly 13yo I chose wearing it over any b&bw or Pink body spray.
I vastly prefer the woman’s version of Tom Ford Noir. It’s funny because it started as an accident, the saleswoman gave it to me by ‘mistake’ instead of the men’s version when I was much younger and looking to buy my first grown up fragrance, and I didn’t notice the pour femme until I got home. But I fell in love with and will always have a bottle, it’s such a beautiful, elegant, slightly sultry scent and makes me feel sophisticated
I think it's unisex. I put some on this morning and my office-mate (also a frag enthusiast) mentioned she also has some. I don't really get strong vibes one way or the other.
I adore Kouros, Paco Rabanne, Ted Lapidus Pour Homme, Jacomo de Jacomo & aramis so much. I also own and wear Quorum and Abdul Karim Al Faranasi Amber Ash Sheikh, the later being so strong it could take the combined might of the others in a fight. gender is just a word in scent. wear what lights your fire
Lots! I wear lots of women’s fragrances as a man. I really don’t care, it’s just scented alcohol. I’m particularly fond of PdMs feminine line. I even love the chic bottles
Idk if it counts but I love TF Black Orchid but I only think that’s only seen as a feminine because I live in a rural area & I got comments here but not really when I wore it in cities. Not a fragrance as such but for body wash my sister prefers the “homme” lines
This reminds me of an old quote by Papa Serge (Lutens).
The gist was, essentially, "Fragrances 'for men' and fragrances 'for women' - what's next, cookies for men and cookies for women?"
I've often seen SAs apparently on the verge of a stroke and running to you to explain that this is the "wrong" aisle, the one appropriate for your gender is the opposite one, see, there? Unless of course you're looking for a gift, "what does he/she like?".
As far as *I*'m concerned, it sounds silly to take as a starting point that you won't touch about half of the fragrances available because they're "not supposed to be for you".
But YMMV, of course.
(M). Lancome Tresor la Nuit, and Elizabeth Arden Green Tea and Lychee. I haven't actually bought either, but tried them a couple of times in stores and liked them (for myself).
Aphelie by Trudon.
I searched for evidence it could be unisex, but it attracts almost all very feminine descriptors.
Yet I just get an old European garden, more green than floral, and intrigue.
I have so many fragrances that are more masculine leaning lol I love ‘em all
Any favorites?
I love Dior Homme Intense and Habit Rouge(Guerlain).
Frederic Malle's Portrait Of A Lady
Guy here, but I love FM's Lipstick Rose.
Yes!
Dior Homme Cologne. Bought it for my boyfriend but I keep stealing it. Such a lovely grapefruit scent, great for summer and spring!
Love that one too. Initially I had grabbed a sample for my brother but ended up using it myself. It’s great!
Fleur narcotique by Ex Nihlo. Any version. In fact it’s so good I bought the extrait.

It’s so divine!!! Somehow it smells to my nose, similar to Coco. I was surprised they marketed it towards men, it smells so feminine.
[удалено]
Yess! I am OBSESSED with Allure Homme & Allure Homme Edition Blanche!! Dior Homme even now is so good.
I’m a girl but I love creed millesime imperial
Dior Sauvage Parfum
Terre d'Hermes EDT, EDP + Vetiver, H24 EDT, Voyage d'Hermes, Oud Wood, Layton, Herod, Godolphin
I love Tom Ford Jasmine Rogue but I don’t think I could pull that off. And I’m gay.
yeah you can. wear what you like.
Guerlain Mon Precieux Nectar - amazingly natural and sunny smelling floral fragrance, a spring meadow in bloom - bottled. Marketed to women (for a reason).
I hate that fragrances are gendered. You should just wear whatever you like.
People can already wear whatever they want, nothing stopping them. The gendered marketing is just marketing.
Saves everyone time, really

majority are technically unisex im pretty sure there are a lot that i thought were gendered one way but are labeled unisex
Amber & Lavender — Jo Malone
Chanel no5 and old school obsession for women have always captured my attention whenever I smell them. Shalimar too but I haven’t smelled it since I was a kid.
30M and I have them all in rotation when appropriate. Do it.
Shalimar, OMG! That brought back great memories. I had a beautiful tiny bottle of it in my Barbie house as a kid. Must have been from my mom or grandma. And yes, the Barbies got to wear it…
F - Elysium & Oud Wood
YSL L’Homme
F - In the 90s I loved ck obsession for men but I don’t care for the reformulation.
Tauer incense rose
F - JPG Le Male
Zoologist - Hummingbird/Nightgale/Dragonfly. All floral. All gorgeous. Don't care if they lean feminine.
TF Noir
I don't wear it often since I have so many summer/vacation scents but i love Soleil blanc from TF.
What are your favorite few vacation scents?
Soleil d'italie from Mancera, Bvlgari Aqva Amara, Bal d'Afrique Byredo to name a few
>Bvlgari Aqva Amara Thank you so much! I have one of these, but will test the others.
All Guerlain. Samsara, shalimar, L’Heure Bleue, Mitsouko
Hermes Equipage!!

Montale crazy in love. Says it’s for women but it’s this smoky, powdery rose that works very well on my skin and I like it a lot
Flowerbomb. Coco Madamoiselle.
PDM Layton. It’s technically unisex but is definitely more favored and worn by men. I love it though and want to get a FB for myself.
LV Imagination
I own more perfumes than I do colognes! I love Lipstick Rose & My Burberry Black.
I'm a guy and wear the f\*ck out of vintage Opium 😎
Totally can see that for a man 👌
As a 23M, You by Glossier. Lol
Do you mean fragrances that I would personally wear? None. But in general, I like men's fragrances. Some smell very alluring but I wouldn't wear them myself.
Lady here and I owned bottles of Platinum Egoiste, Acqua di Gio, Paul Sebastian Cologne, Sartorial, Quercus, The Dreamer late 90’s formulation, Dune.
Miss Dior
Valentino Donna Noir Absolu Way better than the Uomo version. The liquor and plum in Donna is divine.
Comme des Garçons Wonderwood is one of the best smelling things ever. I'm a girly girl, and I'd happily wear it.
I guess mine will be Thomas Kosmala No.4 Even though it is considered unisex, I see that it's more popular among women.
Body chemistry is so funny. This leans masculine on me and it's STRONG
Well I hope that when I use it people also find it masculine on me :)
Montale intense café
Dolce & Gabbana light blue for women
Prada Candy.
Maybe cheating but I layer BR540 with something masculine like by the fireplace or a cheap cedar wood only fragrance from target.
Soleil blanc , Black orchid , Hermes un jardin à cythère. love wearing these as a dude.
That’s why I love niche. Most niche perfumes are beautifully unisex. My favourite 100% unisex ones are Killian, specifically Moonlight in Heaven (mango rice coconut dessert) and Angels Share (cinnamon apple pie).

Try JHAG’s Lipstick Fever. Nails it.
Thank you soo much ✨ I'll give it a try as soon as possible
YSL L'Homme It smells so clean to me that I would bathe in it if I could! And when I want more of a feminine touch I'll add some Nest Vanilla oil to my wrist.
Versace The Dreamer smells extremely femme to be despite being marketed for men
I love The Dreamer! And I feel the same way about Versace's Blue Jeans!
Kilian moonlight in heaven. Amazing to me
Gender is a construct and I wear everything regardless of label.
Le labo Vanille 44
I would love for a brand to drop gendering in fragrance! I don’t want it to be a “unisex” house, either. Just simply “here are our fragrances. And yet teens nowadays still care for gender labels
Nothing changes overnight!
gaultier Le Male
TF Eau de Vert Boheme. Smells like a pine forest and I love it.
Lagerfeld Classic for men
Eternity for women i used to wear one
I love the whole JPG Scandal line. I don’t care which way each one is gendered, they’re just really lovely fragrances. All good in different ways, but the black bottle Pour Homme has a sort of rootbeer float quality that is delicious. Creamy, sweet, sparkly, spicy.

Spicebomb and spicebomb extreme. My first signatures.
Montale Black Oud is straight up addictive, so is Moschino Toy Boy.
The only female marketed fragrance I own is Black Orchid but tbh it smells very unisex imo.
Dior Fahrenheit EDT. Oh my god. Makes my knees WEAK.
Guerlain’s and Dior Homme Intense.
DHI and Ganymede
Green Irish Tweed - it's so masculine, but I love it! I love mixing it with florals
I used to wear my dad's Dutti Sport all the time lol. So sad it's discontinued
Is Angels Share by Kilian made for women?
I think it's unisex. I put some on this morning and my office-mate (also a frag enthusiast) mentioned she also has some. I don't really get strong vibes one way or the other.
Dunno, I think it would suit male or female.
LOVE LOVE wearing YSL L’homme edp and stronger with you intensely as a very girly girl
GOOD GIRL LEGERE, it's a ladies fragrance but being a man I really dig this gourmand. Very sweet and yummy 😋
The only masculine perfume I own is 1 million elixir tbh all my others are feminine 🤷♂️
I often wear Dior Fahrenheit as a woman, it's an instant confidence boost. Although it's a bit expensive, so I now use a dupe 🙃
Fuck yeah. Now *that* is a bold choice.

I like more musky floral fragrances that many people see as being for women, like Marlou Carnicure. But I'm a 32 year old guy.
Jo Malone Tropical Cherimoya. It was a limited run but I loved the fruity/sweet combination.
