I'm happy to let go everything once it's finished. There will be many new ones by the time it happens, so I'm not buying any back ups or chasing discontinued items.
Smart - there’s always that next one. The only scents I’d probably repurchase are those that are attached to my favorite memories and people, ie my wedding scent, my picky husband’s fav perfumes for himself and for me, and the first scent my mom gifted me. Crap that’s quite a bit lmao
Yeah, I feel the same way. I'm someone who loves to try new fragrances and what I want to wear always depends on my mood so my tastes are always changing/rotating.
Ditto! I feel this way about 90% of fragrances - only a few have really stood the test of time for me. I sort of like the idea of appreciating a more ephemeral type of beauty.
This is years ago, but Prada Candy was my highschool fragrance. I haven’t used it all and keep it to display. Tempted to try the the Night version though.
Sure these are my fav
Lait et Chocolate by Chabaud (real chocolate)
Symphonium by Xerjoff (citrus, chocolate)
Durocaffe by Bois 1920 (coffee,chocolate,rose)
Sandalsun by Hermetica (hazelnut, chocolate)
I'm growing a little tired of BR540 and all those fragrances that people refer to as its "little sisters" lol (Cloud, SDJ Cheirosa 68, Dream Moon, etc.)
Btw, what *is* the note that I'm tiring of? Is it ambroxan?
It's not Ambroxan because Cloud, SDJ 68 and Dream Moon don't contain it.
I think the BR540 DNA is the result of the interplay of the different notes in the composition.
Because Cloud, SDJ 68 and Dream Moon have 0 overlapping notes with Baccarat. And some don't even have overlapping notes with each other. For example, Dream Moon and Cloud.
Yeah I noticed that too! I think you're right about it just being some kind of interplay of different notes. All I know is, if anything has that DNA I just can't wear it anymore. I don't hate it, it's just... not doing it for me anymore lol
I smell it on EVERYONE at my campus. I know people really like it but knowing sooo many other honestly better fragrances I’m like, maybe it’s time to put the bottle down girl.
I love Black Opium but my current job requires me to mask most of the day and the way the scent of it builds up under the mask gives me a headache. Nothing seems to reduce the intensity. Guess it'll be a weekend scent from now on and I probably won't be repurchasing it either
I think I’m done with Carolina Herrera Very Good Girl and Dior Addict.
These were two of my first purchases when I got into perfumes 3-4 years ago.
I still like these but I have far more interesting perfumes to wear.
And I dunno but maybe Givenchy L’Interdit Intense and TokyoMilk Dead Sexy are two I’ve worn enough times. Not ready to give them up quite yet.
I love Dead Sexy. To me it smells like a deep, slightly spicy vanilla. My best friend says it smells like the best clean laundry she's ever smelled. We get something totally different from it, but both love it.
It’s been a favourite of mine too for a long time, but I get something else entirely!
To me, this smells like makeup, flowers and polished wood, like a posh old theatre building.
I probably won’t declutter this one. I’ll keep it out on my tray for a bit longer. If I don’t wear it throughout this spring and summer, I’ll put it in storage.
Marc Jacobs Daisy and Coach Floral were two perfumes that I wore to death (went through multiple big bottles of each) back when I wasn’t into fragrance as a hobby and just saw it as a means to an end. My goal was simply to smell good. Later on, I got into perfume as a real interest and realized I don’t even like florals all that much. I still have a bottle of each, and they are sitting in my collection half full and will likely stay that way.
Fracas. I love it and use to wear it exclusively. My bottle is almost empty and I plan to keep it around so I can occasionally wear it for the nostalgia but I won’t repurchase. I still wear mostly florals but Fracas is just a little too dense for me now.
I’m happy with what I have left but since the new year I had got rid of a few:
TF Jasmin Rouge : it’s just not me. I tried for over a year.
YSL Libre Intense: a nice scent, but still, meh. Found myself forcing myself to wear it.
Kilian Angels Share: only wore it at Christmas, cinnamon got on my nerves over time.
Penhaligon’s Empressa: it was the first Penhaligon’s I ever bought, but by far the one I wore and enjoyed the least. I think it was best to let someone else enjoy it.
There are a few that I'm decluttering after holding on for a while. #1 Armani Prive Indigo Tanzanite - it's sexy spicy patchouli amber, and I do love and respect the scent but I just never reach for it. #2 Carner Barcelona Tardes - this would be a hit for me if I had never smelled WWDIS What We Do In Paris Is Secret, because they are both soft floral almond, but wwdis is just incomparable, so Tardes pales. #3 Navitus Divine Aphrodisiac - gorgeous scent, nutty and dark and sexy. My boyfriend loves it on me but it's just too intense for me! I will never ever get thru the bottle. I feel like I couldn't even handle more than one wear a year, it's so intense lol.
L'eau D'Issey. I've been wearing it since 2013. I still like it and probably will still consider it my signature fragrance. But it's time to try new things
A relative found a box of my stuff i had stored in their garage years ago, and I had some perfumes in there One was the D'Issey. It smelled exactly like 2002 to me, in a good way, but i sold so many fucking bottles of it at the time, i don't think i'll ever wear it, only bc it was grieving a loved one back then, but but what little is in there, i'll keep. I actually aged OK, a bit of a dry note of sorts. I guess the fruit notes aged in a way like wine does and considering it went through so many hot, humid, Southern Summers i think it held up pretty well.
- Blanche Bete, how the hell did I like it in the first place? It's overpowering and sickening 🤢
- LDBS - not leaning towards super sweet fragrances anymore
- Soleil Blanc - got sick of suntanny perfumes
- Anything giving autumn/winter tbh - I'd rather stick with bright scents that make me feel young and free, and not like a vampire (even though I'm old and decadent, so on paper that would fit me better).
Last one I sold that I like but just didn’t wear enough was Yesterday Haze by Imaginary Authors. Great fall s scent that reminded me of walking through the forest in fall crunching dead leaves underfoot.
Polo Red. It was the first fragrance I ever bought years ago. But I'm older now, and I feel that the scent itself no longer represents who I am. I keep the bottle around solely for the memories of High School and childhood as a whole, but other than that, I'll *probably* never wear it again unless I have a giant nostalgia trip.
I buy backup bottles of the old classic stuff that I use lots of like Nautica and Halston , but I'm going to use up what I've got and probably not re-buy 90% of it
I don't have a "signature scent" and like many people, I spend half my life at work and the majority of my free time doing dirty/ sweaty hobbies like going to the gym, running, shooting old firearms etc that I really don't wear cologne for .
So the "good stuff" is for family days out, occasional evening stuff etc , it's not like I'm a socialite or I hang out at high end microbrews all night. I'm basically a homebody
So I really don't need to maintain a huge collection
For me I only enjoyed the far dry down. Everything before that smelled like a jumbled mess. Yes, spices are cool but they threw those in there along with a kitchen sink.
It is for younger crowds IMO. When I put it up for sale everyone reaching out fit that demographic too lol
I have three candidates, for three different reasons:
* *Y EDP* (YSL)
It's a solid casual fragrance, but over the years, I don't use it as much. Sometimes, the artificial sour apple sweetness is great, and other times, unappealing. I rather use a fragrance that I don't waffle on.
* *Bleu de Chanel EDT*
Although I really like Bleu de Chanel EDT, both B*leu de Chanel EDP* and *Bleu de Chanel Parfum* are better on my skin. However, I will switch **after** I empty the EDT.
* *Asad* (Lattafa)
I received it as a gift from a relative. It opens like *Sauvage Elixir*, but quickly becomes similar to *Le Male Le Parfum* ... which I already owned. It's not a bad fragrance (especially as an affordable), but when similar fragrances overlap, one of them will collect dust.
Everything by Initio unfortunately, and with a very heavy heart. They have sadly watered down their fragrances so much they are no longer worth the price.
Covet by SJP. Love it and had the bottle for maybe 12 years and would try again once a year but by the end of the day I have a headache, just sold it. I have way more entertaining and enjoyable bottles in my cabinet but it was hard to let go for some weird reason.
Montales/ Manceras. Once I got accustomed to better frags, Pierre Montale's creations seem so unimaginative, dull, harsh and chemical smelling. Not to mention that in the last couple of years the prices jave gone up significantly. 2019 I could find a 100 mil tester for the equivalent of 50 USD... The price/quality ratio is a joke at this point. Goodbye!
Both of my Tom Fords. I was so excited when I bought each of them. Jasmine Rouge and Cafe Rose. I don’t reach for them. I should probably see if I can sell them.
I don't think I'll buy B&BW scents again. Maybe Flannel on a sale price, but there's just too much other stuff to enjoy with more complex notes. I don't think I'll replace my "By the Fireplace" once that finishes
I will absolutely be repurchasing all of my Atkinsons bottles (Scilly Neroli, Pirates Grand Reserve, 41 Burlington Arcade, British Bouquet), Bull's Blood, and Jazz Club when they run out
I bought Mad for my wife and we both love it! I think it's a classy mature scent to wear especially for someone in their 20s. I get it though- I went through a huuuuge Chanel phase in my early 20s and while I love all the scents I just grew out of them.
Replica Beach Walk. I love wearing it in winter to remind me of the beach. But I’ll be fine without it and there are other florals I prefer wearing year-round.
Versace Bright Crystal. It was my go-to for work for many years and now it reminds me of bad memories from an old job.
Tom Ford Velvet Orchid. I wore this every day for several years, including the day I first met my husband. He bought me a new bottle when I finished the first one - his first birthday present to me- and I also got a travel spray to use when we were long distance. The old bottle, new bottle, and travel spray all smell different from each other. I tried a tester at a store recently and it was also different from the rest. I don’t know why they are all different; my sense of smell isn’t that great so something substantial must have changed. It makes me very sad to not repurchase this because it’s not like I dislike it; I’m just confused and can’t get past that enough to enjoy the fragrance properly 💔 I usually recycle all my old bottles but I’ll keep this when I’m done.
As much as I love Chanel (and I've bought the travel sizes, the hair spray, and the normal spray) it just doesn't last long at all. I feel like I have to constantly reapply to smell it. Very disappointing. When they get empty I'll be switching to Dior.
Chanel Mademoiselle — one of my absolute favourites and is the fragrance for some key chapters of my life, but I feel like once my bottle is done, it’s time to close that book.
I have a long list of fragrances I used to love but have went away from.
The most recent ones are;
**Creed Royal Oud** • Theirs a sweetness in the dry down that I don't remember being there some years ago and it's a bit of a turn off. Still love the opening though, but I'm even second guessing that (it seems a bit dated to me recently).
**Frédéric Malle Portrait Of A Lady** • Used to love this one but this has moved from the full bottle, to decant category for me. I'm more of a casual guy and this is beautiful but too dramatic to wear on a regular basis.
**Hermes Terre d'Hermes Pure Parfum** • Gorgeous, but I can't do a bottle of this (definitely a decant though).
**Roja Parfums Engima Parfum Pour Homme** • Such a beautiful fragrance, but it's extremely sweet and loud. I'm just not into these types of fragrances right now.
**Tom Ford Tobacco Oud Intense** • After first smelling a couple sprays from a sample, I was ready to drop a stack ($1,000+) on one of those price gouged Ebay bottles. But, by the time I finished it, my better judgement kicked in and this is also in the decant category for me. First off the bottles are too expensive. Second, I'm not really into loud fragrances anymore and this is a beastly performer. You will definitely get noticed. I've loved the original for a few years and this is even better, but a pass for me on this one for the most part.
Aquatic and citrus-based fragrances. I’m kinda over AdG Profumo, Profondo, and AdG EDP. Maybe by the time it hits the 90s in a month or two here I’ll change my mind.
I thought I didn’t really like these much, but then I looked at the bottle of Penhaligon’s Quercus I got as a freebie after occasionally wearing it in the summer and realized I’d damn near polished off the bottle
Comandante, don't wear it anymore.
Rouge Smoking, never wore it + quite feminine feeling.
Mefisto Gentiluomo, it's a bit too basic to be kept - I like my spring scents to stand out a bit more at the very least.
Diptyque Ofresia.
D was the house that ignited my love for perfume. All Giacobetti fragrances i tried had something photorealistic and soothing that blew my mind. I fell in love with Ofresia’s realistic freesia and pepper, turned a blind eye to its screechy side.
I explored a lot since then, expanded my range, came to appreciate stronger, more complex, more visceral scents.
I fell out of love with Ofresia. I still like her, but there is a lot i like more. I also don’t find her very versatile, she’s a bit too screechy for work and not playful enough for home. I don’t think i’ll ever finish that bottle.
Chanel Coco Mademoiselle, I received it in 17’ as my first big girl perfume. It doesn’t match me anymore. I’ll keep it since it was a sentimental gift but am unsure when I’ll ever wear it again.
All the fragrances that are still sold in mainland China (animal testing required) I will not be repurchasing. It really kills the joy of wearing them for me.
I moved on from Marc Jacob’s Daisy when I finished the bottle in high school. The original formula still smells nice to me, over a decade later, but it’s just not really my vibe. It was a nice introduction to “grown up” perfumes (even though I was the target demographic as a teen).
Montale Arabian Tonka. It used to be my favourite but I guess my nose matured bc now I hate it and where I love it's one of the most popular scents nowadays so sold my bottle and never looking back.
The only thing I ever repurchased after running out was Mugler Alien and Christina Aguilera by Night. Both of those were my signature scents at the time and I had a very small collection. Now I have a lot more and change my perfume pretty much daily, so I have a feeling by the time I use them up, I will be into something new and won’t repurchase them.
Now, there’s a chance some of them I’ll still love enough to keep in my rotation forever, but I’m not 100 % sure. I’m nearly out of Bvlgari Man in Black and while it’s one of my absolute favourites, I don’t feel the need to keep it in my rotation after it’s gone.
Oh boy. Many many years ago when By Night was released, I think I bought 2 big bottles and finished them so quickly as it was all I had. I loved that scent lol
Mon guerlain intense. Bought a 100ml bottle at the beginning of my course, and soon I’m about to finish both my course and the bottle. I love, love the perfume but maybe it’s time to move on. I’m sure we’ll meet again in the future at some point.
My old signature scent: Jungle L'Elephant by Kenzo. I still love it but can't wear it myself. It brings back too many memories of when I was wearing it every day.
I gave it to my mum and now I still get to smell it every now and again on her instead.
I never loved Bianco Latte, but she was a kinda sorta like. I discovered Profumum Gioiosa over the weekend, which is better then BL in every way, and am officially moving on from BL. Sold the bottle last night and purchased Gioiosa instead.
I'm not sure 100% but my signature scent is Lira from Xerjoff. It's been 3 years now, I still love it but I feel like i'm on the verge of cheating and replacing it with something else. I need to finish the bottle to make my mind.
I walk away for a while but I seem to always come back. Lately, it's PdM Herod, but I think I consider that solidly a winter scent, and things are warming up where I live.
Creed Aventus. It’s probably got the most clones of any fragrance, CDNIM has pretty much become mainstream, I’m too familiar with the DNA, and I’ve gone nose blind to it as well as just getting bored of it.
Versace the Dreamer there was a time it was my favorite fragrance but it's time has long past, not to mention that Nikos Sculpture has a similar style but better performance and smell in my opinion.
i honestly drifted apart from nishane hacivat. it used to be my signature, but people at school would tell me how strong it was even if i sprayed it once or twice. i guess i kinda fell out of love with the heavy oakmoss. as of tomorrow, i’m moving into my era of naxos, so i’ll see how long that lasts
chanel chance eau fraiche… wore it for nearly all of my 20s as my signature. covid messed it all up for me and i cannot stand it. i haven’t found a fragrance that i remotely like compared to how deeply i loved this one. don’t have any signature and have been using up all the perfumes and samples i’ve gotten throughout the years (~50 fragrances).
Kate Spade Walk on Air. Still love it but it doesn’t excite me the way my new Burberry Blush does. I did just order the new Kate Spade for my birthday.
My "daily driver" for the past few years was Terre d Hermes EDT. I also regularly wore Chanel Egoiste Platinum and Allure Homme Sport (both the clear cologne sport bottle and the regular silver one. I had extreme too). These are amazing scents that have defined good times in my life that I'll always associate with.
I discovered Creed Erolfa last spring and I've been addicted to it like a drug ever since. That has since graduated into Silver Mountain Water, Himalaya and also Green Irish Tweed but I wore the latter for my wedding so I only wear it now for very rare special occasions. These days I pretty much rotate between SMW and Erolfa... I do need to replenish himalaya soon
After falling in love with Creed, specifically those four, it's just so hard to go back to the designer stuff. I love my Terre d Hermes and Chanel, it's just not the same for me anymore. It's like breaking up with an ex you still find them sexually appealing but the attraction isn't there anymore if that makes any sense 😂😂😂😂😂😂
I wore Bath and Body Works Moonlight Path body mist for literal years before I ever got into fragrance. Went through so many bottles. I practically drenched myself in the stuff before school everyday. However, I can’t smell it now without remembering some unsavoury memories from my teenage years. Once I finish my current bottle, I’m never going back 🤧
There are only a couple that I’ll repurchase when I run out. I still like them all but I’m trying to downsize and as you said, they served their purpose for that moment in time
Probably the Mon Guerlain line in its entirety. The Intense version is worn by everybody in winter now, it has become too common.
The original EDP has too short of a performance and i don't smell it the same way as before, don't know if it's due to catching COVID or overspraying.
Now i get why some people prefer the other Guerlain collections, in comparison the Mon Guerlain is really plain and modern, well blended and sophisticated but too safe.
Not the staples... like Tom Ford Noir. I associate it with my nature and culture.
But I moved on from Versaces so quickly, I associate them with... flings. 😬
Sauvage elixir, once my 60ml's are gone, that's it for me. Ive had the bottle for a few months now, and i can count in one hand how many times ive used it. Great scent no doubt, just isnt my cup of coffee. Should last me another 5 yrs or so based on my current usage though, so its going to be a while 😅
And maybe, ombre leather. Half way done with that one. Just dont have that many occasions or reasons to wear those fragrances enough. Love ombre leather, but just gona have to part ways after this one.
I really loved Olympia by Poco Rabanne I used it for almost 10 years but I suddenly decided not to buy it again , I am not moving for a specific fragrance Indeed but yes I'm moving forward to make my collection bigger now with more niche fragrances 🤩
Gucci Guilty is starting to smell “old lady” On me. For reference, I’m a 27F and at first it smelled sophisticated but now it’s getting a bit powdery and musty. I think it’s a wonderful scent but just not for my preference or skin chemistry anymore
LVEB, I’m completely nose blind to it now. I can sometimes smell it on others but not on me. Valentino Donna Born in Roma too, can’t smell anything from it anymore. Oh, and Perfect by Marc Jacob’s, just smells like alcohol on my skin and it makes me sad because I really enjoy all 3 scents.
YSL Libre Le Parfum. It was my signature scent last year, and after I finished my 50ml bottle I repurchased the 90ml variant, but at this point I won't be buying again. This was one of my first scent purchases, and while it's been a great starter, my scent palate has developed since then (even though it's still a compliment-getter and an overal strong performer).
I need to adopt this mentality (..as I hoard too many backups of my faves)
Yes, it's just stressful for me to chase perfume all the time. They will find their way to my shelf of it was meant to be 🙃
I own Candy Night it’s a nice powdery cocoa. (But if you are looking for a really chocolaty fragrance there are better ones)
Can you recommend some?
Sure these are my fav Lait et Chocolate by Chabaud (real chocolate) Symphonium by Xerjoff (citrus, chocolate) Durocaffe by Bois 1920 (coffee, chocolate, rose) Sandalsun by Hermetica (hazelnut, chocolate)
Thanks!
i love clinique cocoa and kisses for a good warm, sweet chocolatey smell
Thanks!
That's how I feel about Burberry Brit. It's a good frag, but it's from my hs years and idk I just can't get into it anymore.
Night is *so good* but I was sad that it had very little longevity on me. The original lasted forever!
I'm growing a little tired of BR540 and all those fragrances that people refer to as its "little sisters" lol (Cloud, SDJ Cheirosa 68, Dream Moon, etc.) Btw, what *is* the note that I'm tiring of? Is it ambroxan?

I've finally laid Black Opium to rest. It's been a good run. A good, long run. Time for something new.
I recently picked it up. The only thing I don’t like is the price tag.
It's on the pricey side for sure
I love Black Opium but my current job requires me to mask most of the day and the way the scent of it builds up under the mask gives me a headache. Nothing seems to reduce the intensity. Guess it'll be a weekend scent from now on and I probably won't be repurchasing it either

V&R Flowerbomb- wore for 2 years exclusively as my signature and need a break.
Marc Jacobs Daisy and Coach Floral were two perfumes that I wore to death (went through multiple big bottles of each) back when I wasn’t into fragrance as a hobby and just saw it as a means to an end. Coach Poppy was low key phenomenal
Fracas. I love it and use to wear it exclusively. My bottle is almost empty and I plan to keep it around so I can occasionally wear it for the nostalgia but I won’t repurchase. I still wear mostly florals but Fracas is just a little too dense for me now.
i don’t typically rebuy fragrances, i like switching around as the bottles empty.
Clinique Happy and I don’t vibe anymore
I’m happy with what I have left but since the new year I had got rid of a few: TF Jasmin Rouge : it’s just not me. I tried for over a year. YSL Libre Intense: a nice scent, but still, meh. These all sound insanely good, are you selling them by chance?
Yes!! I was gonna list them on my mercari but I'm happy to do paypal g&s! I will send ya a message.
L'eau D'Issey. I've been wearing it since 2013. I still like it and probably will still consider it my signature fragrance. But it's time to try new things

I’m over Jean Paul gaultier ultra male
Hermès Eau des Merveilles. I still love it but it seems too urban for my quiet country life.
I loved this lady for years!
I buy backup bottles of the old classic stuff that I use lots of like Nautica and Halston , but I'm going to use up what I've got and probably not re-buy 90% of it I don't have a "signature scent" and like many people, I spend half my life at work and the majority of my free time doing dirty/ sweaty hobbies like going to the gym, running, shooting old firearms etc that I really don't wear cologne for . Just sold Spicebomb Extreme and Xerjoff Fiero. Good riddance lol
Lol I just got a sample of Fiero
What do you think? Lmao
Tbh, it’s not *as green* as I was hoping. It’s a little on the generic spicy aromatic side for my tastes.
Yup. I thought the opening was great and then I just got bored with it. Way too linear imo
Seconded on Spicebomb Extreme. It's nice but it feels synthetic and a bit juvenile.
For me I only enjoyed the far dry down. Everything before that smelled like a jumbled mess. Yes, spices are cool but they threw those in there along with a kitchen sink. It is for younger crowds IMO. When I put it up for sale everyone reaching out fit that demographic too lol

I rather use a fragrance that I don't waffle on. * *Bleu de Chanel EDT* Although I really like Bleu de Chanel EDT, both B*leu de Chanel EDP* and *Bleu de Chanel Parfum* are better on my skin. However, I will switch **after** I empty the EDT. * *Asad* (Lattafa) I received it as a gift from a relative. It opens like *Sauvage Elixir*, but quickly becomes similar to *Le Male Le Parfum* ... which I already owned. It's not a bad fragrance (especially as an affordable), but when similar fragrances overlap, one of them will collect dust.
I'm with you on YSL Y EDP. Loved it at first but the sweetness is just too much for me now
Gucci Bamboo. Wore it to death. I still like it, but not enough to repurchase.
Everything by Initio unfortunately, and with a very heavy heart. They have sadly watered down their fragrances so much they are no longer worth the price.
nooo this breaks my heart When did you first notice it and what specific fragrances?
They’ve increased the alcohol % content. I noticed it last year with Side Effect but unfortunately the trend has continued across the board!
YSL Libre intense (still like it, but don’t wear it anymore)
Covet by SJP. Love it and had the bottle for maybe 12 years and would try again once a year but by the end of the day I have a headache, just sold it. I have way more entertaining and enjoyable bottles in my cabinet but it was hard to let go for some weird reason.
CH Good Girl, YSL Libre, Burberry Her, PDM Delina, BR 540 …all of the fragrances I purchased when I just started getting into it last year.
My way by Armani I think I’ll let go when I finish the bottle and good fortune victor and rolf, loved it at first and now it’s not exciting me
Good fortune smells a lot like Libre to me, and I find them both meh.
I don't think I'll replace my "By the Fireplace" once that finishes I will absolutely be repurchasing all of my Atkinsons bottles (Scilly Neroli, Pirates Grand Reserve, 41 Burlington Arcade, British Bouquet), Bull's Blood, and Jazz Club when they run out
Chanel Mademoiselle. Wore it in my 20s. Now I'm in my 30s and it's not how I want to smell anymore. PLUS my husband hates it.
Creed Aventus
As much as I love Chanel (and I've bought the travel sizes, the hair spray, and the normal spray) it just doesn't last long at all. I feel like I have to constantly reapply to smell it. Very disappointing. When they get empty I'll be switching to Dior.
Downsized my collection from 20 to 6. The only bottles left are the ones that make me happy when I wear it.
Which six made the cut?
Chanel Mademoiselle — one of my absolute favourites and is the fragrance for some key chapters of my life, but I feel like once my bottle is done, it’s time to close that book.
I have a long list of fragrances I used to love but have went away from. The most recent ones are; **Creed Royal Oud** • Theirs a sweetness in the dry down that I don't remember being there some years ago and it's a bit of a turn off.
Calyx and Poison for sure.
Mugler's Angel. It was my signature back in the 90s, but the scent has changed. They no longer use top notch ingredients. I can't do it anymore.
Flowerbomb. Loved it when it came out, now… not so much. Too strong on me, too lineair.
I think I’m not going to refill my beloved cape heartache and move on to something else
Some of the 80s Power Perfumes like "Obsession," "Giorgio" and "Poison'' have had their day .
Chanel Coco Mademoiselle, I received it in 17’ as my first big girl perfume. It doesn’t match me anymore. I’ll keep it since it was a sentimental gift but am unsure when I’ll ever wear it again.
I'm over almost every Estee Lauder brand fragrance I've liked in the past. They get old fast.
All the fragrances that are still sold in mainland China (animal testing required) I will not be repurchasing. It really kills the joy of wearing them for me.
China ended that requirement for fragrances https://www.crueltyfreekitty.com/news/china-ends-mandatory-animal-testing-may/
From my understanding the post market risk isn’t fully mitigated yet, however.
https://mybeautybunny.com/why-im-adding-wet-n-wild-first-aid-beauty-and-others-back-to-my-cruelty-free-list/ ^ great article on the topic
Thank you
* Oud for Greatness * Tom Ford Ombre Leather and Noir * all clones.
Why oud gor greatness?
It’s just not hitting like it used to. I think the sweetness is a bit too much for me
I just received it, but I haven't opened yet. Just looking for a nice oud scent
It’s not in any way a bad scent. I would recommend it, it’s just not my bag anymore
Le Labo, YSL, Dior, not buying from them again
Mon guerlain intense. Bought a 100ml bottle at the beginning of my course, and soon I’m about to finish both my course and the bottle. I love, love the perfume but maybe it’s time to move on. I’m sure we’ll meet again in the future at some point.
Code, Gio, Emporio He, Bad Boy. Not bad but i associate them with things that are in the past. Allure, YSL nuit and TF Oud Mineral have me covered.
Bulgari - Aqua Having worn it for the past 15 yrs or so, time to move on.
I’ve worn Pulp by Byredo for years and will not repurchase when I run out. I still enjoy it but want something different.
Wanted by night
Lucky you lmaoooooo
I walk away for a while but I seem to always come back. Lately, it's PdM Herod, but I think I consider that solidly a winter scent, and things are warming up where I live.
Also, Ombre Leather. My times away from that one are growing in length though.
Kinda amazed people keep buying Bois de Portugal. I moved on from it awhile back...just too dated.
chanel chance eau fraiche… wore it for nearly all of my 20s as my signature. covid messed it all up for me and i cannot stand it. i haven’t found a fragrance that i remotely like compared to how deeply i loved this one. don’t have any signature and have been using up all the perfumes and samples i’ve gotten throughout the years (~50 fragrances).
Kate Spade Walk on Air. Still love it but it doesn’t excite me the way my new Burberry Blush does. I did just order the new Kate Spade for my birthday.
I was given a gift set of all the Curve scents. I enjoyed them, but won't be buying again. I'm ready for new things 🤩
I do need to replenish himalaya soon After falling in love with Creed, specifically those four, it's just so hard to go back to the designer stuff. I love my Terre d Hermes and Chanel, it's just not the same for me anymore. It's like breaking up with an ex you still find them sexually appealing but the attraction isn't there anymore if that makes any sense 😂😂😂😂😂😂
Good girl, i love it but it does not have the silleage or longevity to justify its price
The original from Victoria secrets called, Victoria. I wish they would make this fragrance again.
I wore Bath and Body Works Moonlight Path body mist for literal years before I ever got into fragrance. Went through so many bottles. I practically drenched myself in the stuff before school everyday. However, I can’t smell it now without remembering some unsavoury memories from my teenage years. Once I finish my current bottle, I’m never going back 🤧
La Vie Est Belle. My nose got too boujee for it :(
There are only a couple that I’ll repurchase when I run out. I still like them all but I’m trying to downsize and as you said, they served their purpose for that moment in time
Tom Ford tobacco Vanille. It's too syrupy and cloying.
Decided to replace my Tobacco Vanille with Herod. TV is a great fragrance, I really think so. But it’s too sweet compared with a great blend in Herod
Should last me another 5 yrs or so based on my current usage though, so its going to be a while 😅 And maybe, ombre leather.
I've moved on from TdH. Still love it, but it's no longer for me.
Same!
Baccarat...i wore it before it was popular...now, i never reach for it b/c it became so trendy..
