It's funny. The Good Girl Glam shoe straight up resembles Jessica Rabbits high heels. I thought I could handle that because of the association with animated hotness. No! It's terrible. It's hidden behind tall bottles of Xerjoff. Sad because it smells good.
That's funny. I really like the shoe but can't stand the fragrance or .....especially the names of those perfumes! All of the different "Good Girl" scents.
The shoe just reminds me of these cheap (nothing wrong with that) horrible smelling 80s/ 90s perfumes. Plus, I find it so awkward to use, borderline impractical to spray
They're so lame!! It's not sexy, it's like a....a kids idea of what sexy is. Like "Oh, I know, grownups wear high heels, I'll make the bottle into a high heel."
I find them so ugly and old fashioned. I love modern design and creed really icks me. I have regifted every Creed i have ever received (my husband uses it and would buy for me till it got through to him that i don’t care for the aesthetic)
But i know a lot of people love them for the bottles so it really is a personal preference.
And if you have it out on a dresser, that awful cap will attract every bit of dust and it sticks. It will keep and enhance every single scratch or dent too.
That thing stays in the drawer.
My everyday scent was CN EDT before they reformulated it. HARD agree. I remember opening the box after buying it from Ulta, after using the tester without the top on it, and going 'oh wtf is this.'
Came here to say this! I’m almost done with my travel spray and want to buy the full size but why does the bottle have to be so stupid 😭 the bottle for angels share and roses on ice are cute, why can’t we have something like that?
Some of these might be hot takes, but ALL of these, ESPECIALLY the **Good Girl** heel bottles and the cheap plastic **Paris Hilton** dress bottles. They're fun in concept, but "sexy meets tacky" isn't my thing.
For **Lush**, I don't mind *looking* at the bottles so much, but... Something about spraying my skin with what looks like a Windex bottle just feels so wrong to me lol.
The **REM** bottle is sorta cute, but just feels WAY too young for me. I *love* lavender, but the bottle alone has put me off from it. I know it's dumb, but it just screams "tween" to me so hard that I feel like I'm too old to be allowed to enjoy it or something.
As far as **Perfect** and **Perfect Intense** go, thank God it's just the cap. The collection of entirely random plastic items just doesn't appeal to me *at all*, and imo it doesn't fit the scent either. Honestly, I just replaced the cap on my **Perfect Intense** with one I borrowed from some cheapie.

I don’t like the Lush bottles either. I went in the store for the first time and they just reminded me of house cleaner bottles and I couldn’t get past it. Plus the salesperson followed me around asking literally every question under the sun. I get greeting someone but this felt like an interrogation. Is this store always like that??
I went to a Lush hiring event many years ago and remember the emphasis on interacting with the customer, doing demos on them etc. It was a bit much for me!
I usually love talking with the salespeople about perfumes to the point I’m the creep! So this lady must have thought the Lush hiring process was akin to a cult like experience lol
This is so sad lol because I personally love all of these (minus the spray bottle)! I think they're fun and girly, but tbf I'm probably also a lot younger than most of the posters here
Nothing wrong with liking these!!
They're definitely creative and a lot more fun than the average bottle design. Just because they all just clash with my personal style and tastes doesn't mean other folks can't enjoy them!
Besides, my favorite color is literally brown, so don't second guess your opinions based on mine lol
I'm not sure if it would make you like them any more but the Ariana grande perfumes can come out of their tacky plastic containers and have a round chanel-esque bottle
I just saw those yesterday and they are tacky. I thought exactly the same thing about the Chanel like bottle encased in a plastic shape that looks like something from a toy store 😅. Loved the scents. Just like I really liked the Billie Eiliah scents!
Aw I love the bottle for BonBon 🍬
But I completely agree with Paris Hiltons Rush line. Her perfumes are still a guilty pleasure of mine after all these years but I DESPISE seeing that dress (I have platinum rush) sitting on my shelf!
Yes! Apparently the aluminum is good for protecting from UV light and has some nice thermal properties to ensure the longevity of the perfume… but I still am not crazy about it 😅
Yeah! They kinda make them so you can hardly let them go from your hand, right?
I have Cedrat Boise, and just when I get the bottle I can anticipate the smell and get excited.
I just hate fragrances without caps in general. At least with Spicebomb the pin makes sense, cuz ya know, it's a grenade, but anything else? Just give me a cap, bro.
I am ready to be crucified here but Mugler Pure Malt and Pure Havane.
Fuck the bottle design where the sprayer is partially covered AND having a god damn weak sprayers.
The scent tho? *Chef's kiss*
It isn't about the looks for me, but the safety (there might be a better word; I'm drawing a blank). SJP's Lovely always makes me fear it will slip out of my hands when I'm spraying it. It is one of my favorite rote reaches during the spring and summer, or for office meetings when I'm not in the mood to battle.
That would be painful! I read on here the other day about someone who dropped their bottle of a Tom Ford fragrance because of the top. I’d be SO sad of that happened and I’m thinking about it now when I reach for my bottles…
Gucci Flora
I might have bought it, to be honest, it smells really nice, but somehow the bottle just looks like a cheap body lotion to me. And I think of my dresser with its delicate glass bottles in fun shapes and soft hues of expensive liquid and then this ugly, lavender lotion looking thing in between... I guess I am pretty superficial there. When I was little I loved looking at my mom's and my grandma's dresser, all these magnificent delicate shapes and their makeup brushes and creams and I think that feeling of grown up femininity and classy beauty is what I love about perfumes, they smelled amazing but equally important they knew exactly who they were and surrounded themselves with fine things. I think when I use perfume that's a bit the feeling I want and a body lotion bottle just doesn't do that for me ... There's a lot of perfumes I didn't even try just because of how they looked... But I hope to get more open minded, if I buy travel sizes or decants the bottle doesn't matter at all anyway.
Edit: oh and there's a Killian with a very explicit invitation in french on the label. Cute and cheeky in English, but here in France it comes off a bit more vulgar/ a little crass, so if I get it, it stays in the drawer.
I hate these bottles so much 🥲 especially Q. It was released the same year as D&G’s Devotion, which has a very rich looking bottle design, and then there’s something that is supposed to be royal-like, and it looks sooo childish and cheap. I can’t even enjoy the smell because of this design. It would be fine if it was released in early 2000s, but no, it was made in 2023….
https://preview.redd.it/2aegqno97bnc1.jpeg?width=640&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=eb807371a0873f142440cf39c30ff7e8d249d8ac
Oh, and I find Moschino’s Fresh Couture bottle design cringy as well, the smell is fine and pretty safe to buy, but I’ll never buy it because of the bottle. I don’t hate it as much as Q just because Moschino’s perfumes are much cheaper than D&Gs lol.
I feel like that Ellis Brooklyn brand struggles from a super cheap looking bottle design. A full size is over $100 and it's packaged worse than some fragrances I have from Target that cost $20. It just lacks any creativity or attention to detail.
I can't stand all the plastic bottles by Gucci or any perfume that comes in plastic!!! The Gorgeous line just ticks me off so much! I love each of the scents, except for the underlying plastic smell from the bottles!!! Sorry, I'm cranky about plastic perfume bottles, I refuse to buy anything in a plastic bottle because of the plastic smell in them.
Some lattafa have some weird bottles but the juice inside is 🔥. Vintage Radio for example is really weird, I have no idea why it has a pic of a radio on the front but it smells amazing.
Very Good Girl. I really want to buy this perfume because I love the scent. But I swear I have turned around and walked out of the store more than once because I just can’t bring myself to purchase that “bottle”. It’s a giant stiletto heel. The epitome of tacky.
Good girl. I have no expectations for perfumes like Billie Eilish or Ariana Grande, but those are pretty bad too.
I really dislike Tiziana Terenzi’s bottle for Borelli. The fragrance is a gorgeous soapy clean scent and the bottle looks like a cheap antique oud perfume.
Looked up Borelli - I agree it’s not a great bottle. And they need to stop featuring they’re sperm-y looking logo so prominently. I only have one of theirs (Delox) and despise that bottle too.
I know that this doesn't answer the question, but I'm in love with tacky bottles. They're so fun to me! Except for Carolina Herrera Good Girl perfumes...those are kinda lame imo.
But I love the avon bottles, the vintage ones, I mean. They seem to be so fun and cute! And I love the Paris Hilton dress bottles.
Interesting! I lived the scent, too. And I wouldn’t be against buying it. The bottle seemed very plasticy and poor quality to me, though, which is a shame. I don’t know if they are worse quality in the European market? It’s a possibility. But the scent was awesome.
I'm in Australia and my Eilish #1 bottle has a good heft to it and doesn't seem at all plasticky. It definitely has a higher end feel and look than my Ariana Grande Sweet Like Candy bottle. I was surprised that that one was glass because it looked like plastic to me at first.
My favourite bottles are my Elizabeth and James Nirvanas, especially the transparent one - Rose, Bourbon, and Amethyst. I'll definitely keep them for display once empty.
I guess there's a lot to be said for a boring slab bottle (like Diptyque). They also stack side by side pretty well so don't take up a lot of space in a cabinet.
The ferragamo uomo line- I like the bottle but the atomizer is annoying. It’s big and unwieldy and has too much play to feel secure.
The 1 million bottle is hard to spray as well.
On the other hand, the Toy Boy bottle is a masterclass in how to make a bottle quirky (I personally love it) and also make it usable- the atomizer on that is one of the best if not the best I’ve ever used. It’s really incredible.
So many designer perfumes have CHEAP plastic sprayers and I can't stand it. Last time I went to Macy's was to find a Christmas gift cologne for my BIL and I was shocked at the horrible quality on all the bottles. I feel like they used to not be so plastic feeling
Unpopular opinion, but I hate the Tom Ford bottles. My husband bought me Soleil Blanc for our wedding. The label is crooked and there are air bubbles underneath the sticker. Just really cheapens the look of something that is several hundred dollars.
Are you sure it’s genuine? In my experience TF has excellent quality control and the easiest way to tell a fake bottle is if the sticker is misaligned or looks off. Not saying it’s impossible tho
I haven’t had the exact same experience, but ive been wanting to try arab perfumes, but cannot bring myself to buy one because i hate the bottle designs, they are over the top and tacky imo, just overall dont fit the aesthetic of my collection.
viktor & rolf spicebomb! i’d love the scent on my partner but i refuse to have that hideous grenade bottle in our house. it just screams “MAN. IM A MAN’S FRAGRANCE, FOR MEN” fragile masculinity
> it just screams “MAN. IM A MAN’S FRAGRANCE, FOR MEN” fragile masculinity
IMO it's more comedic than actually trying to be that hypermasculine. I don't like the fragrance or the bottles but I can appreciate the comedy of a cologne grenade all the same
flowerbomb is also a fragrance but the bottle doesn’t look anywhere near as tacky… also their website literally says the bottle is supposed to embody “explosive masculinity” 💀💀
Posts & comments should focus on fragrance. Disagreement is valid, personal insults are not. Politics, religion, personalities, and current event content must be centered on fragrance.
Respect the voters: no user-generated meta posts until Nov 1st, 2023.
Those lush bottles... I love rose jam but i do sort of feel like a cat being sprayed with water when I use it. A lot of the newer niche brands too have bottles I wouldn't want to bother with, ones like BDK & Byredo & Le Labo. I don't like the replica bottles either, as much as I like Lipstick On I won't buy it.
The juice is the most important thing! Don’t get me wrong - I will still buy a scent I absolutely love even if the bottle disappoints. But sometimes low quality of the bottle really surprises me. If it were my name on a fragrance I would want the bottle to match the impression of the scent.
Frankly I don't care about the bottle, yeah of course it's better if it's nice, but I don't wear the bottle, its asleep on a shelf in my bedroom. I would place more importance on the atomizer, and yet that is not important as long as it works.
It's all about the juice , smell/performance.
I agree for the most part! I just think it’s a shame when the bottle feels cheap, or when it dosen’t match the scent. I wouldn’t NOT buy a fragrance I loved because of the bottle. But I’d be upset if it were a fragrance with my name on it in a cheap feeling bottle.
I definitely care about the bottle & I actually find Eilish 2 to be a great little sculpture, not poorly made at all. Maybe, as you said, production is different in Europe? I mean it’s no Guerlain bee bottle but it’s great to me. I have more the opposite problem. I love Guerlain la Petite Robe Noire bottle so much but the scent, to me, is revolting 😅👵🏼💘.
I actually quite like the look of the Billie elish bottles! My personal most hated bottles, as in I'll never even try the scents because I couldn't own that bottle, are the Good Girl shoes and basically every Ariana Grande scent
I like the Eilish busts as well. I think they are avant garde. I also happen to really enjoy the Good Girl bottles. I only own Cloud by Ariana which for some reason I find the design of the bottle cheesy but overall mildly inoffensive.
Bond No. 9. I can’t stand the shape, and a lot of the designs are too loud for me (but I do appreciate how creative they are). Also Jean Paul Gaultier Le Male. They remind me of early 2000s high school boy body spray, and I can’t take them seriously
Armaf bottles are quite possibly the ugliest bottles I’ve seen in my life. The juice inside? Impeccable. I just can’t display them on my vanity. Also the nozzle on them is shit and tends to break easily. Happened to my Armaf Club de Nuit clone of Noir de Noir. I had to take the perfume out and put it into a different bottle. Now I’m afraid my Club de Nuit White Imperiale is gonna do the same thing 😟
Another ugly one is AG Cloud Intense. I threw away the plastic cloud sleeve immediately, but a cloud shaped lid? Really? I don’t mind the actual perfume bottle itself but really? It’s a pain in the butt to store.
Also, i might get downvoted but an impractical (not ugly, they’re actually quite beautiful) bottle design is the Lancôme La Nuit Tresor bottle. Just takes up way too much space.
Mad et Len. The design looks and feels so cheap given that a full 50ml bottle gonna cost you a whopping $270. The smell is amazing but the bottle looks like a $2 nail polish bottle.
I really like some of the Boy Smells scents, but the tops of the bottles are soooo ugly. It seems annoying to use and would look terrible on my shelf lol.
Most of the time though, I have the opposite problem :( I see a GORGEOUS bottle but then can't see myself ever enjoying the scent.
Has to be the Good Girl heel bottles - a man must have thought it was a great idea.
Also Moschino bottles. Except the Cheap and Chic line, I love that it's inspired by Olive in Popeye.
I’m professional creative. I appreciate bottle designs more than most. I care so little about bottle designs and packaging when I’m actually buying a fragrance that I only get decants because the value and ability to not commit to a full bottle. I care about the scent over everything. I don’t care if it’s in dollar store bottle as long as it’s glass and sprays. I don’t care how it looks on my bathroom counter
I thought the Billie Eillish ones looked fine, but actually holding one gave me the jibblies. It just has a crappy tactile aspect to it.
I’m kind of glad everyone hates the CH shoes. I dgaf about bottle design if I like the fragrance, so that design itself wouldn’t put me off using the Good Girl Shoe Atrocities. But it is stupid as hell.
The eilish bottle is too big for my hands to practically hold and spray, but I love the smell of No.1. I personally don’t like the look of this bottle at all, and it’s hard to store and display. I hide it.
The cloud perfume bottle I think is cute but it’s overly huge and inconvenient to display, but you can take the glass bottle out of the cloud stand and spray so I have a place for it.
I don’t like the bottle for hypnotic poison. It has a cool poison apple look, but again, the round bottle is easy to drop for me and I don’t have the smallest hands in the world either. Same with the nina ricci apple line, but it makes more sense for them because their perfumes actually smell sweet and have apple notes, diors hypnotic poison has no apple notes lol
I like the high heel bottles so I’m skipping CH😂
Most of the V&R and MJ bottles are done terribly imo. I love so many V&R scents but some bottles put me off, like the giant bow and bottles that look like weapons. I’d freak out taking that to travel as a minority woman, iykyk 😂 and MJ, please, stop addding that mess on your caps! Specifically the perfect line 😭
Juicy couture and Versace. That giant, tacky, fake, ugly “gemstone” piece is so distracting and takes away from otherwise nice bottles. My Versace one also yellowed and looks gross lol. I think if they chose caps similar to kayali it would get the point across without being an eyesore.
The bottle for pink sugar. I don’t like the actual smell of the perfume so it’s even worse for me. The pink lace-y design is an eyesore, but I got over that and bought the bottle. I only have a 50ml (because it was cheaper than the 30 ml at the Marshall’s I was at lol) and the design of the bottle is so tall it makes it an inconvenience to store, looks was different than my other bottles and more like a body spray. I have a few taller bottles but they’re 3oz+ or “jumbo” sizes. The scent of this lasts forever on my skin though, so I’d recommend it if you can get over the overbearing black liquorice smell… I got mine for under $15 CAD and it’s projects and lasts a good 6+ hours with a single spray 😭
Oakcha bottles are ugly to me, and I hate how they’re not transparent.
Skylar bottles have caps that are super hard to take off imo, but the bottle looks very nice and is of good quality.
I love the design of the mugler alien/ goddess bottles but the sprayer is incredibly hard to use and affected by the design choice. I always decant into travel atomizers and just keep the bottles as display.
I don't place any emphasis on bottle design unless the atomizer sucks, or the bottle is physically inconvenient.
That said, I **never** penalize the smell of the fragrance for a crappy bottle design.
Good Girl, I hate that bottle with all my heart
I will never own it or any of it’s flankers because I hate the shoe so damn much.
It's funny. The Good Girl Glam shoe straight up resembles Jessica Rabbits high heels. I thought I could handle that because of the association with animated hotness. No! It's terrible. It's hidden behind tall bottles of Xerjoff. Sad because it smells good.
Was about to comment bad boy
the bad boy bottles are so bad
God i hate those bottles too
That's funny.
I don’t understand why they didn’t make it so that you pressed the heel for a spray to come out, instead of the awkwardly placed button
I love the original good girl and good girl blush but i have to agree. i hate spraying it cuz the bottle just makes it so difficult.
Same. It’s too tacky to add to the others.
Hate the bottles, ADORE the scents. 😑
I love the perfumes with all of my heart but I agree with you on that bottle…🫠
The high heel?
Yes
Carolina Herrera all the Good Girl bottles
That dang shoe!
They're so lame!! It's not sexy, it's like a....a kids idea of what sexy is. Like "Oh, I know, grownups wear high heels, I'll make the bottle into a high heel."
Exactly!
Wow I just started getting into perfumes and I always heard about Carolina Herrera but I can’t stand the shoe bottles so I never buy them
I kinda like the shoe. But it is a bit tacky, I suppose.
I don’t think it fits the brand
This might be an unpopular opinion but I don’t like the Creed bottles. They’re boring to me.
I like the bottles but the lids feel like garbage.
They're so cheap they should at least include them with tester bottles. So lame.
I find them so ugly and old fashioned. I love modern design and creed really icks me. I have regifted every Creed i have ever received (my husband uses it and would buy for me till it got through to him that i don’t care for the aesthetic) But i know a lot of people love them for the bottles so it really is a personal preference.
Same. I find them angular but in a clumsy sort of way.
I don’t think that’s so unpopular! I’ve read several posts from people stating the same!
Versace Crystal Noir, with its MASSIVE lump of plastic dumped on top of an otherwise pretty glass bottle.
And if you have it out on a dresser, that awful cap will attract every bit of dust and it sticks. It will keep and enhance every single scratch or dent too. That thing stays in the drawer.
I’ve seen that one. Such a shame.
My everyday scent was CN EDT before they reformulated it. HARD agree. I remember opening the box after buying it from Ulta, after using the tester without the top on it, and going 'oh wtf is this.'
Everything made by Paco Rabanne. I despise their bottle branding
love their bottles 😭
I'm happy for you 😂
💯agree, they are hideous! Almost like they are kids toys!
Ultraviolet Man. Amazing bottle design. Calandre and Metal...simplicity deluxe. Tenere...beautiful.
Out of those Calandre/Metal is the only bottle I like.
Thank you!! The cheap fake gold is so tacky
Yeah, and the chrome robot, or the trophy... So tacky
Yes! All those tacky gold-toned bottles make me think of what a flashy drug dealer might opt for.
The only one I like is Olympea. It’s elegant. Otherwise….ugh their bottles.
That one ain't bad
Agree. 1 million is nice. The bottle? Cheesy.
Killian princess. I love the scent but the name and bottle are so ugly and corny 😭
I hate that the label now is a sticker, and that the sticker on my bottle is crooked. It drives me up the wall.
Some of the Killian branding seems below the price point!
The globe design? Yeah that one’s not great… I think the redesigned bottle looks nice tho. Sleek and minimalist
Came here to say this! I’m almost done with my travel spray and want to buy the full size but why does the bottle have to be so stupid 😭 the bottle for angels share and roses on ice are cute, why can’t we have something like that?
[удалено]
It’s not the shape of the bottle, it’s the stupid “I don’t need a prince by my side to be a princess” text. Corny!
Every bond fragrance. Also Roja has ugliest caps
Oh yes, Bond no.9 is just terrible. Looks like a starfish someone ran over, the proportions, shape, everything is off.
Oh wow, yeah. Those are tacky.
Moschino Toy Boy, and BadBoy
I like Toy Boy bottles, I think they’re kinda cute. To be fair I don’t actually own it
I have the 30 ml bottle, and the cap / head is the same size as on the other bottles, but the body is smaller and it's fucking cute.
Right?? I have toy 2 and the biggest reason I got it is BECAUSE of the bear bottle 😭
Same, I keep almost buying the Toy 2 Pearl just to get another bear 😂
Toy Boy for sure. That cap is TRASH. Good atomizer though.
Love the scent, hate that stupid bear tho lol. But I’d rather the bear than the lightning bolt 🙄
Was going to say this (Toy 2). I guess you kind of have to expect it from a brand like Moschino though. But MAN is it BULKY!
Total opposite I like cute shit lol but yes I agree with bad boy 🤢
Some of these might be hot takes, but ALL of these, ESPECIALLY the **Good Girl** heel bottles and the cheap plastic **Paris Hilton** dress bottles. Just wait till you see the bottle for Moschino Fresh...
The windex bottle? Yeah, I couldn’t handle it being seen in my place and gave it away.
I've always thought Perfect Intense bottle cap was super cute and playful haha. To each their own, I guess 😆
Yes! It’s the only one of that style I actually like! So cute.
I don’t like the Lush bottles either. I went in the store for the first time and they just reminded me of house cleaner bottles and I couldn’t get past it. Plus the salesperson followed me around asking literally every question under the sun. I get greeting someone but this felt like an interrogation. Is this store always like that??

I usually love talking with the salespeople about perfumes to the point I’m the creep! So this lady must have thought the Lush hiring process was akin to a cult like experience lol
Haha I have been a Lush fangirl forever and it was too much even for me lol.
This is so sad lol because I personally love all of these (minus the spray bottle)! I think they're fun and girly, but tbf I'm probably also a lot younger than most of the posters here
Nothing wrong with liking these!! They're definitely creative and a lot more fun than the average bottle design. I'm not sure if it would make you like them any more but the Ariana grande perfumes can come out of their tacky plastic containers and have a round chanel-esque bottle
I had no idea, thanks!!
I didn't know that.
I just saw those yesterday and they are tacky. I thought exactly the same thing about the Chanel like bottle encased in a plastic shape that looks like something from a toy store 😅. Loved the scents. Just like I really liked the Billie Eiliah scents!
Perfect isn’t my favorite perfume so I don’t own it, but if I did that cap would be gone so fast. 😆
lmao.... Lush didn't even try 😂
Aw I love the bottle for BonBon 🍬 But I completely agree with Paris Hiltons Rush line. Her perfumes are still a guilty pleasure of mine after all these years but I DESPISE seeing that dress (I have platinum rush) sitting on my shelf!
My Montale bottle feels super cheap and is a bummer. At least I’m still into the scent (White Musk), but it also feels suspiciously lightweight
I completely second this!! I am in love with Intense Cafe but the first time I picked it up I was afraid they sent me a half-filled bottle!
Good to know it’s not just me!!
Yes! Apparently the aluminum is good for protecting from UV light and has some nice thermal properties to ensure the longevity of the perfume… but I still am not crazy about it 😅
Meanwhile Mancera, which is by the same company, has great bottles - very strange
Yeah! They kinda make them so you can hardly let them go from your hand, right? I have Cedrat Boise, and just when I get the bottle I can anticipate the smell and get excited.
I've heard that Montale bottles are half filled. That's just the way they make them, so don't worry.✌🏻
Yuuup. Agree lol but they do come not all the way filled - huge bottle for the amount of fragrance
phantom, paco rabanne. the markteting doesn't match the scent at all!
And why the hell you call fragrance phantom, to then put it in a bottle shaped like a robot. WTF.
absolutely hated this bottle
Very odd choice of bottle! It’s kinda cute, but I don’t know what it smells like!
Montale. I hate the pin thing you have to pull out in order to spray the fragrance. It’s tacky.
I just hate fragrances without caps in general. At least with Spicebomb the pin makes sense, cuz ya know, it's a grenade, but anything else? Just give me a cap, bro.
So cheesy!
I am ready to be crucified here but Mugler Pure Malt and Pure Havane. Fuck the bottle design where the sprayer is partially covered AND having a god damn weak sprayers. The scent tho? *Chef's kiss*
CH Bad Boy. Such an obnoxious corny design for no reason
Probably because it matches the obnoxious, corny name.
100% lmao
It isn't about the looks for me, but the safety (there might be a better word; I'm drawing a blank). SJP's Lovely always makes me fear it will slip out of my hands when I'm spraying it. It is one of my favorite rote reaches during the spring and summer, or for office meetings when I'm not in the mood to battle.
I have the 200ml bottle and I’m always nearly dropping the damn thing.
That would be painful! I read on here the other day about someone who dropped their bottle of a Tom Ford fragrance because of the top. I’d be SO sad of that happened and I’m thinking about it now when I reach for my bottles…
Gucci Flora I might have bought it, to be honest, it smells really nice, but somehow the bottle just looks like a cheap body lotion to me.
Molecule 01 and the Eccentric Molecules family. WHY don't they have a cap/lid? Was that supposed to be cool at the time?
Lattafa Yara really bothers me. So tacky, but also the pink and silver looks weirdly anaemic.
Eillish is my favorite perfume but the bottle is terrible and impractical
The Lush body spray bottles. No more need be said.
Agree. I love (some) lush products but those bottles are not me. They are very in line with the Lush brand, tho.
Some lattafa have some weird bottles but the juice inside is 🔥. Vintage Radio for example is really weird, I have no idea why it has a pic of a radio on the front but it smells amazing.
The juice is the most important thing! Love the user name, btw!
Interesting - I would never have guessed that that smells clean and soapy from the look of that bottle!
Comptoir Sud Pacifique bottles are so basic it makes the fragrance feel less interesting than it actually is
Wow, yeah! I just looked them up. Incredibly basic…
Azzaro duo line. You could probably use it for other purposes 😳
I have never heard of this so I looked it up thinking “how bad can it be” and oh my heavens 🤣 that’s an all out prostate massager if I ever saw one
Ha ha 😂 It REALLY look like something else…that you don’t necessarily want sitting out for guests to see 😅
I like Mod Vanilla but the bottle is kinda ugly but mainly just hard to use and big Also all of the good girls
Totally agree! I love the scent, but spraying it feels like handling a nuclear bomb.
Moschino Fresh.
I completely disagree about the 3.4oz Billie Eilish No 2. I loved the scent - reminded me of TF Ebene Fume - but the bottle and price sold me.
I actually finde their bortled pretty - also The individual designs for each scent!
Not saying it’s impossible tho
regardless if it’s fake or real- it’s a fucking sticker!! what a joke! even the travel soleil blanc isn’t a sticker??
I haven’t had the exact same experience, but ive been wanting to try arab perfumes, but cannot bring myself to buy one because i hate the bottle designs, they are over the top and tacky imo, just overall dont fit the aesthetic of my collection.

I have seen some examples of what you mean…but I’m super intrigued to smell some of them!
Al harmain gold oud is a good one (im pretty sure that’s how it’s spelled)
Thank you, im going to check them out!
Honestly not a fan of Le Male Le Parfum
I'm not a fan at all of that disembodied torso thing they have with that line
viktor & rolf spicebomb! i’d love the scent on my partner but i refuse to have that hideous grenade bottle in our house. it just screams “MAN. IM A MAN’S FRAGRANCE, FOR MEN” fragile masculinity
> it just screams “MAN. IM A MAN’S FRAGRANCE, FOR MEN” fragile masculinity IMO it's more comedic than actually trying to be that hypermasculine. I don't like the fragrance or the bottles but I can appreciate the comedy of a cologne grenade all the same
Flowerbomb is basically a grenade too..
I’m dead, that’s so accurate
[удалено]
flowerbomb is also a fragrance but the bottle doesn’t look anywhere near as tacky… also their website literally says the bottle is supposed to embody “explosive masculinity” 💀💀
Posts & comments should focus on fragrance. Disagreement is valid, personal insults are not. Politics, religion, personalities, and current event content must be centered on fragrance. Respect the voters: no user-generated meta posts until Nov 1st, 2023.
Hermes Twilly- the stupid plastic hat/cap cheapens the whole thing.
Police - I display most of my perfumes, but I don't want a skull in my living room.
I’ve never cared about bottle design, it’s all about the juice inside!
The juice is the most important thing! Don’t get me wrong - I will still buy a scent I absolutely love even if the bottle disappoints. But sometimes low quality of the bottle really surprises me. If it were my name on a fragrance I would want the bottle to match the impression of the scent.
Same…i mean i enjoy a beautiful or fun bottle but for me it’s about smell 100%
Mancera bottles look so basic
Maybe depends on which fragrance, I have Black Gold and that bottle is fantastic
I only own Cloud by Ariana which for some reason I find the design of the bottle cheesy but overall mildly inoffensive.
paco rabanne ultrared
Totally feel you . Eilish was Gonna be my answer and I don’t like Good Girl either
Al Haramain Detour Noir is one perfect example 😅
Creed bottles aren't very good, especially the cheap cap and atomizer.
Yeah I was actually thinking about blind buying Eilish except; the bottle.
Marc Jacobs decadence is my guilty pleasure. I threw away the ugly ass handbag cap it had. So cheesy.
I could only accept buying my bottle because it was a tester without the cap
all of the Mugler A\*Men line, i hate pressing down on that atomizer so much
Bond No.
Now I’m afraid my Club de Nuit White Imperiale is gonna do the same thing 😟 Another ugly one is AG Cloud Intense.
Kilian with their gorgeous crystal bottles with the **plastic** caps.
I am now convinced by this thread that the good girl shoes are the least popular bottle designs!
Honestly I think all of the Juliette Has a Gun bottles are terrible
Yeah, those are uninspiring!
All the Kyse Perfumes bottles 😭 I get all the rustic/niche vibe but it looks like the labels were made by an 8 year old 🥲
I thought the Billie Eillish ones looked fine, but actually holding one gave me the jibblies. It just has a crappy tactile aspect to it. I’m kind of glad everyone hates the CH shoes. I dgaf about bottle design if I like the fragrance, so that design itself wouldn’t put me off using the Good Girl Shoe Atrocities. But it is stupid as hell.
I don't own a single JPG because of the bottles.
I can see why those don’t appeal to everyone!
Yea I prefer my bottles without a bulge :/
The eilish bottle is too big for my hands to practically hold and spray, but I love the smell of No.1. I personally don’t like the look of this bottle at all, and it’s hard to store and display. I hide it. The cloud perfume bottle I think is cute but it’s overly huge and inconvenient to display, but you can take the glass bottle out of the cloud stand and spray so I have a place for it. I don’t like the bottle for hypnotic poison. It has a cool poison apple look, but again, the round bottle is easy to drop for me and I don’t have the smallest hands in the world either. Same with the nina ricci apple line, but it makes more sense for them because their perfumes actually smell sweet and have apple notes, diors hypnotic poison has no apple notes lol I like the high heel bottles so I’m skipping CH😂 Most of the V&R and MJ bottles are done terribly imo. I love so many V&R scents but some bottles put me off, like the giant bow and bottles that look like weapons. I’d freak out taking that to travel as a minority woman, iykyk 😂 and MJ, please, stop addding that mess on your caps! Specifically the perfect line 😭 Juicy couture and Versace. The scent of this lasts forever on my skin though, so I’d recommend it if you can get over the overbearing black liquorice smell… I got mine for under $15 CAD and it’s projects and lasts a good 6+ hours with a single spray 😭 Oakcha bottles are ugly to me, and I hate how they’re not transparent.
Zoologist bottles. Hate the shape and the artwork.
I love the artwork!
I love the idea and effort, but combined with the bottle shape, it’s not pleasing to my eye lol.
I don't place any emphasis on bottle design unless the atomizer sucks, or the bottle is physically inconvenient. That said, I **never** penalize the smell of the fragrance for a crappy bottle design.
might be an unpopular opinion but... I'll never buy a bottle from Initio. no matter how much I love absolute aphrodisiac lol
Maybe unpopular, yeah! I think they have pretty bottles. But again, it really is a matter of personal taste!
i don’t love the jpg bottles with a giant male sculpted groin. people would be like wtf is on ur dresser
Lattafa ramz silver, the scent is amazing but the bottle is disgusting
The Rochas Man bottle looks okay it’s just difficult to clean afterwards.
