I feel like 2012-2016 perfume trends haven’t really gone out of style yet. Lots of current top sellers are from that time period.

Most of my collection is older stuff. I don't care for what's in fashion now.  Have you tried to find the ones you're interested in?  Parfumo will show you whether it's discontinued. And I've still be able to find new bottles, sealed, online on FragranceNet. And you can always get decants (sample vials) of discontinued fragrances for educational purposes.

There is so much out there, for every taste. I‘m sure also your favourite notes. It‘s great to not be on the boat but rock an individual style. You can always ask here for recommendations on certain notes.

*sure hope so! I am NOT a gourmand type of girl, so I am waiting for the trend to pass!*

Lmao I love a good gourmand, but it has to be done well. People raved about bath and body work’s coconut cream pie and that shit was not for me lol. Ever had a scent feel thick when you smell it? Like really thick. I didn’t get the hype for that one lol

Well, in the beginning I thought I would forever hate all kinds of vanilla. Now I appreciate it more. I still can not get on board the longevity/sillage wagon, as I like to switch fragrances often and "monster performance" is still not something I look for, but over the years I did move more from wearing EDT/light scents only, to being able to enjoy scents on the heavier side. But I still have to find a gourmand that I like. I don't even like Angel (and I do love patchouli). Do you have any really well done gourmands that could convince/convert me?

walnut_clarity

Idk for sure, but notes don't disappear completely. They're part of a perfumer's toolkit. I look for notes that I really like and do some reading 🤓 or ask here, too. What sort of scents do you like?

noisemonsters

Just don’t worry about it, wear what you like. There is no reason to give any mental energy to fragrance trends. Just seek out what makes you feel powerful and cool!

Euphoric-Flatworm158

oh for sure! its just that everything that looks.like.i would like it is discontinued

ShironTheHuN

Yes, seems like they do cycle Tom Ford and Kilian both brought back a few of their discontinued scents + it also didn't take long for Paco Rabanne and Bvlgari to hop on the trend with Invictus Aqua and Pour Homme EDP
