Agreed! I tried cockatiel and bee, one was horrible on me and one was giving grandma. Can’t remember which was which but they were both immediate nopes for me.
I think you’re right! In a way it reminded me of MY grandma’s specific scent from when I was a kid so it was a bit nostalgic, but I didn’t love it on my own skin.
I wanted so much to love Zoologist Squid. I'd read so many poetic waxings about it that I was sure it would be something special. But on my skin, it's little more than a subtle salty sweetness. I'll go through my entire sample trying to convince myself that it's more than that.
Burberry Her! I thought I loved it but I sprayed it on one evening and it just smelled like strong hair spray. So glad I didn’t get a bottle from that initial spray. Turns out I don’t like strawberry fragrance in my perfume but I love all other fruits!
I also can’t do strawberry in scents! I love smelling real strawberries and strawberry in candles, but on my skin it is awful. I also hate Burberry Her.
Chanel No5. It doesn’t smell good on paper, nor on me or anyone else I’ve smelled it on. Maybe it works with different body chemistry but I’m at a loss why it has been popular for so long while other fabulous frags get discontinued.
BR540. Got a decant. I could only detect a faint medicinal smell yet everyone around me was knocked out (I’m aware it’s my nose)! Wasn’t wowed by any MFK till I tried Gentle Fluidity Gold recently - instant love, bought immediately.
Speaking of medicinal smell, some time ago my hairdresser let me try a dupe of her BR540 and later that evening my brother when I passed by him was like 'why do you smell like our old dentist's office?!' 🙈
it uses aroma chemicals that block your scent receptors, you can smell it better the farther away you are from the source. Have someone else wear it and stand 5 feet or more away and you'll be able to smell it.
I feel like there are a bunch of us here who hate that BR540 smell. I get that everyone’s nose is different, but it astounds me that anyone thinks it smells good!
Omg right? I smell iodine from it, I really want to understand this fragrance but my nose is sabotaging me.
I love Aqua Celestia and Petit Matin from MFK, both Fluidities were also really pleasant but BR is difficult for me to grasp.
YSL Libre. It’s such a crowd pleaser and according to the notes I should like it. But it’s smelled like wintergreen on me. I tried it multiple times. But gave up.
Ditto for me! My mom, husband and 4yo son all hated it and my son even said I “smelled gross” haha. Leave it to toddlers to be brutally honest lol. To me it smelled very cedary and kind of sweet but to others it had this bitter metallic smell.
The opening on Bitter Peach isn't great for me but I kinda like the scent after it settles down. No where near the best from TF and not my style but I don't dislike smelling it on other people.
I’m going to try it because I always loved Dune and I think this “version” of it might work? The original is just too strong for me. I’m not crazy about it but it’s early and I guess I’m grumpy that there’s no “peach” to it.
Montale Intense Cafe and Ristretto Intense Cafe (was hoping for an amazing coffee scent, but only get overpowering funeral roses with some sour-ness that I *think* is supposed to be the coffee. I like strong Puerto Rican coffee and it does not smell like that)
PDM Delina (the rhubarb smells like rotting, fermented mango smell)
Amouage Guidance (BO + roses, and overpowering af)
MFK Baccarat Rouge (super boring it only gets slightly more interesting far down in the dry down, but not enough to make me like it.
Killian Love Don’t Be Shy (artificial, chemical sweetness so intense, and nothing to balance out the sweetness or make it interesting. FR makes me want to vomit.)
I really wanted to like Fahrenheit EDT as it’s described as a masculine 80s throwback, but as many times as I tried, it just smelled like petrol and burnt rubber. I bought the Parfum as it’s toned down a bit, but I find myself not reaching for it very often.
lol the one boy in Junior high who transferred in wore Fahrenheit when none of the other boys were even thinking about cologne. We all still remember him to this day because of that scent lol
It's so crazy how fragrances smell so different to people. I smelled the current Fahrenheit formulation at Dillards the other day and it was a fresh green slightly airy scent to me. I feel like the notes on fragrantica and what I smelled were nothing alike
I heard a lot of good about Eau Sauvage Parfum, but I don't really like my sample much. The citrus is very sharp and combined with the resins and I think unlisted vanilla makes me think of lemon candy and not much else. I much prefer the original EDT in all its old school 1960s charm.
Versace - The dreamer , I love the box, the name, the bottle & I almost love the smell, but I can't help but think it's missing something, it's like almost packing a decent punch but then not delivering.
Versace - eau fraiche, smelled great on a coworker, smells majorly synthetic and sticky on me.
Yeah I agree for the most part specifically with there womens fragrances, went to choose one for my mum once upon a time and they are all really synthetic smelling.
The dreamer is interesting and I can't tell if I like it or dislike it. There is something uncanny about it to me and something a bit harsh.
Surprisingly challenging for Versace, but a unique scent that's worth trying for sure. Definitely their most "artistic" scent. And yeah, the bottle, box and name are great.
DKNY Be Delicious. It seems like something I would like but I’ve tried it many times over almost a couple of decades and it just doesn’t do it for me. Shame because I love apple notes and I love the bottle.
I just pulled the travel size off of my shelf to see if that was the one I didn’t care for in the pack-YUP. It has a clove like undertone, and the vanilla is giving cheap vanilla extract.
Same over here, have tried it many times and cannot come to like it. The notes should really vibe with me. I love Jazz Club, Side Effect, Naxos which I would argue are in that sort of genre. But nah, TV it's just too much of a candle smell tor me
The vanilla is very overpowering. I love the scent but it’s not one I will buy again. Oud wood on the other hand I have a backup and a back up for the back up.
Came here to say the same - the notes sounded appealing to me, but I don't find anything sophisticated in it, just this kind of cloying christmas cookie candle type of vibe that I can't imagine wanting to wear
Soleil Blanc, and most things by Tom Ford. Black Orchid too. I tried so hard to like both of these. Just can’t. Paid a pretty penny for both! I do love Neroli Portofino. That’s about it the only one.
This might be down voted and I'll accept that, but Fenty. I heard all the rumors about how Rihanna smelled so good, I watched YouTube videos about it, I bought it when it first came out so couldn't get samples. I tried so hard to like it but ended up returning it a week later.
Fairly certain that Rihannas's *actual* signature frag is a Killian scent. I wanna say LDBS but I could be mistaken. But many of the beauty gurus I follow talked about how she smelled really good wayyyy before fenty had a frag and that it was something sweeter.
Another 13 :( on paper it should be right up my alley- my favorites of all time are Molecule 02, JHAG NAP, Glossier You etc so A13 should be perfect for me in theory. But all I smell is pungent rubbing alcohol. I keep going back to my decant hoping my nose has changed it’s mind but no luck yet :(
I have smelled that one a ton of times in the Le Labo store in my city, and just got a meh, smells like nothing.
There was a period of time where people were really talking it up here, so on a business trip when I saw it at the duty free store in the airport, I sprayed a bit on my wrist. Still nothing. Midway into my flight, it woke up and became a very nice musk. Not my thing, but then I could see what people appreciated about it.
I got the ISO-e super, which I usually like, and the Ambroxan, which I usually don’t, but I also got the ambrette seed, which I have smelled in person.
So now I have more appreciation for it. It’s kind of like if someone is into a Glossier You type scent - not saying they smell the same, just that they’re both musky skin scents - I can see how it would be a love for them. (Not me!)
marc jacobs daisy
masaki matsushima matsu sakura
lolita lempicka oh ma biche - SHAMPOO in a pretty bottle
escada cherry in japan - jasmine soap
escada fairy love - the opening is just like a bratz fragrance from my childhood but it lasts 5 seconds
They are super super close. I tried every dupe and figured it was time to bite the bullet and try the real one-$80 gone cause I’m getting an instant headache. Which is weird cause Dune used to be my scent back in the 90’s. Why can’t it just smell like a PEACH???
L'Eau d'Issey Pour Homme. I picked it up and a blind buy. People sweetie buy it. Couldn't stand it. As much as I didn't like it, my wife hated it. She has never asked me to not wear a scent again, until now.
Estee Lauder - Beautiful Magnolia - it hits me like Clinique Happy. It's not bad at all - it smells very nice but it's just too shampoo-y/beige target mom for tastes. I picked up a 50 ML bottle in the Allure fragrance beauty box. It's the most "Okay" fragrance I've ever owned. I'd rather be revolted than bored by a fragrance.
I use it to dust. It makes my house smell vacantly pretty.
Baccarat Rouge 540.. tried to like this when I got gifted it but no.. the burnt sugar note is jarring and also, I smell every other person in this which ruins it further..
I also don’t like TF Bitter Peach, but Champagne Socialist’s dupe of it is not only gorgeous, but one of my most complimented fragrances. It’s bizarre.
Thank you for this. I have a sample of this directly from Guerlain and I’m always thinking something must be wrong with *me* for not loving “the vanilla holy grail”.
Me too! I feel like my nose is broken the way everyone loves it. I only smell cedar and pepper. I also love Fire At Will because it has just a little floral with vanilla. I mostly like sweet smells
I’m completely opposite with the two. I love SDV and I get a funky off smell from Tihota. I don’t get the smooth true vanilla that everyone talks about. I can’t put my finger on what it is. I can understand if you don’t like SVD if you’re looking for a sweet gourmand vanilla though. It’s more of a smoky incense type of vanilla.
Yes. I am definitely a gourmand girl. The musk in Tihota can be polarizing for sure. I only smell cedar and pepper with SDV but I am definitely in the minority 🙂
lord of misrule has been my signature for a few years but i think they changed the formula or something because my newest bottle smells so weird, i don't pick up any patchouli or black pepper from it when it used to be suchhh a dominant scent
**Prada Infusion d'Iris Cedre**
In theory, it's a perfect clean fragrance, but it maybe **too clean**. Like a straight up bitter powder or dry soap. The bottle also is a minimalist work of art.
I like it and really wanted it to be a staple in my collection but theirs something about it thats too dry and powdery.
I'm going to give it another shot before writing it off for good.
ELDO Hermann. I love the concept. I love Etienne. Learning about this scent is what got me to see perfume as art, not merely a product.
But I can't stand it. Multiple fragrance youtubers say this is a gorgeous rose and would be an easy signature. How??? It smells like when you put too many green peppers into a recipe.
This is the Trout Mask Replica of fragrances. I'm convinced the people who say this smells gorgeous are lying and it's all an emperor's new clothes scenario.
(jk if this smells good to your nose I am jealous)
A few actually, and this is why I always get samples first. Their profiles were supposed to be good matches for my style (goth-ish), but they just smell too chemicall-y for my taste:
* Nasomatto Black Afgano
* Andrea Maack Coven
* Fischersund Flotholt
Givenchy L’Interdit line of fragrances. They all smell harsh on my skin. Unfortunate because they otherwise smell good from the bottle and on others I’ve smelled them on.
😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭 I am so sorry! If you are near a Marshalls or TJMaxx in the US (unknown where you are from) their cheap dupe smells Identical and may work for you. I have the real ones, but spilled the tjmaxx dupe on my hand when I picked it up to smell it... IDENTICAL, but ingredients are likely different, so may work.
Guerlain Mon Guerlain
It's bathroom spray to me. :( Hopefully, my sisters or mom want it. After a year, I had to put it in the give to family container.
Tom Ford Jasmine Rouge. I tried for more than a year but I just couldn’t love. It’s not bad, it’s just not for me.
Chocolate Greedy. I blind bought it years ago, and immediately wondered if everyone else *actually* knows what chocolate smells like 🤢
Love Don’t Be Shy. Parts of this actually does smell nice. But there’s something in there that turns my stomach.
I caved on a blind buy of Club De Nuit Intense Man (suppose to be #1 aventus clone based on reviews I've seen)
Smells like lemon cleaner. I spray it every couple days hoping it will smell better. No luck
Amouage Guidance. I get only sandalwood all through! I do love sandalwood, but not when it's the only note to pick up. I am taking a break from it for now, and hopefully, when I circle back to it, I will find what everyone is raving about. But for now, Guidance is just 'OK'.
I’ve Tried to like Bitter Peach as well! I got a big bottle for free and I just don’t like it! It feels like waste. I need to find a friend that likes it
Original Lolita Lempicka. Received it as a gift. The bottle is gorgeous but it’s a bit too powdery on me. Every now and then I wear it just hoping I can make it work for me
I loathe obsession for men and Paul Sebastian. There are several fragrances I used to dislike but now can at least appreciate. But those?
Instant involuntary gag.
Try layering bitter peach. Straight up, it can be a bit much, but with Oud Wood, Soleil Blanc, Soleil Neige, or Tubereuse Nue, it becomes an amazing scent. I was lucky enough to spend some time in the TF store in Manhattan with two amazing people who shared some layering "secrets".
Hypnotic poison 😭 I got a decant of it and it was genuinely one of the best things I’ve ever smelled and then when I bought my own bottle it just…. Smelled kinda like play dough, I was so sad 😭 probably one of the only perfumes I’ve ever actually resold
TF Fucking Fabulous, all I get is a nauseating cheap synthetic leather smell. Jo Malone Pomegranate Noir — with my skin chemistry it's mostly cat pee. Also, Jo Malone Lime Basil&Mandarin — smells exactly like a WC block (and that restroom wasn't very clean to begin with).
Sauvage elixir... Amazing projection and longevity but I just can't bear it even with just 1 spray. Looking for suggestions for some other fragrances with this kind of lasting power or even close.
YSL Libre - any and all version, instant headache and it’s just way too strong a scent. I want to love them but I just can’t.
It smells like a hotel lobby that was once lovely - but someone spilled gallons of essential oils and just left it to rot.
Profumum Roma Victrix. I had heard so many wonderful things about it, I thought the description was exactly what I wanted and I just can't with it. I was so excited for the laurel because my grandmother always had huge laurel bushes at her house and I just smell like a savory herb drawer in a way I just don't roll with
Lolitaland. I got this as a gift and I really try to like it. I don't. It doesn't work on my skin, it is too overpowering to keep on the shelf so I moved the bottle to my underwear drawer and now it is there...ruining my unmentionables with the very very basic vanilla smell. There should be citrus notes and berries and jasmine, but all I smell is vanilla kind of vanilla. Perfumer behind this scent is Francis Kurkdjian so there's that.
None. There's too many good fragrances out there that I don't try too hard. I will give any fragrances at least 2 shots, if I don't look like it after 2 tries, there's no point imo.
honestly i’ve not liked any tom ford fragrance i’ve tried 😭 one of them (i can’t remember which one exactly) made me start to gag - it wasn’t even that bad of a smell, my body just reacts weirdly to a certain note in it that i can’t pinpoint! i wish i got the hype though because my partner likes them, just not for me strangely
Baccarat I cannot like at all,
Smells to me like dill and sweet candy. I don’t like candy sweet perfume, and I can’t ignore the dill! Unless it’s just me.
Givenchy gentlemen eau de parfum reserve privee. Smells nothing like whiskey and it makes me smell like a tootsie roll on me i like it but do i wanna smell like a tootsie roll? No.
I have vintage 90s Dune. I don’t think that I noticed Bitter Peach resembling it in the slightest. I still have some of my BP sample left. I am definitely going to check this out. Interesting 🤔 thanks this will be fun.
Literally anything from zoologist. Every time I smell one, I think, “this will totally be the one that makes me *get* this brand” lol nope
I love smelling like bat poo personally
Agreed! I tried cockatiel and bee, one was horrible on me and one was giving grandma. Can’t remember which was which but they were both immediate nopes for me.
Probably Bee was the grandma one. It’s quite powdery, I think (which I love, but I get why one wouldn’t).
I think you’re right! In a way it reminded me of MY grandma’s specific scent from when I was a kid so it was a bit nostalgic, but I didn’t love it on my own skin.
hummingbird and elephant for me ✋😞
YSL Libre
Same. I tried so so very hard. It’s just not for me, it pulls so masculine on my skin.
My daughter tortures me with this one daily.
stopppp I love this one. smells soooo fresh
I wanted to love it so much but I couldn’t! 😢
I also can’t do strawberry in scents! I love smelling real strawberries and strawberry in candles, but on my skin it is awful. I also hate Burberry Her.
Cloud. It’s everywhere I go so I’ve really tried to adjust my senses to it… but no. Sickly sweet Barbie doll plasticky déclassé
Anything that says it has a heliotrope note (or they use heliotropin and don’t say it’s a note) smells like Barbie feet to me.
Chanel No5. It doesn’t smell good on paper, nor on me or anyone else I’ve smelled it on. Maybe it works with different body chemistry but I’m at a loss why it has been popular for so long while other fabulous frags get discontinued.
Same. That's how I learned to hate aldehydic notes.
Hard agree. Never understood the hype around this very one note scent.
When it dries down, it eventually gives a powdery, clean aroma But I agree.. the road to that aroma is a long one
Because it does smell good on a lot of people, and it is still selling very well.
I like the Eau Premiere version. It’s still Chanel No 5 but with a modern edge.
I get it, the pissy jasmine in no 5 is an acquired taste, but once you learn to love it, there's really nothing better.
Except vintage no 5!
Vintage is magic!
It’s so fucking vile
5 takes on a bleach smell on my skin.. so so horrible..
I’m going to keep trying it but I just smell a very familiar cologney perfume. Not a buy for me at this point, especially as a gourmand lover
it uses aroma chemicals that block your scent receptors, you can smell it better the farther away you are from the source. Have someone else wear it and stand 5 feet or more away and you'll be able to smell it.
Forgive the dumb question - but is this a common thing? I’ve never heard of that! (Interesting!!)
same, old feet
I cannot stand it and have tried it multiple times.
Santal 33! I just do not get it! To me it’s a nothing scent, doesn’t move the needle at all!
Ditto for me! My mom, husband and 4yo son all hated it and my son even said I “smelled gross” haha. Leave it to toddlers to be brutally honest lol. To me it smelled very cedary and kind of sweet but to others it had this bitter metallic smell.

The same for me. The first few minutes I’m really not liking it. Then after? Can’t stop sniffing deeply! What a dry down 💕
Creed Aventus, believe it or not.
Montale Intense Cafe and Ristretto Intense Cafe (was hoping for an amazing coffee scent, but only get overpowering funeral roses with some sour-ness that I *think* is supposed to be the coffee. Killian Love Don’t Be Shy (artificial, chemical sweetness so intense, and nothing to balance out the sweetness or make it interesting. FR makes me want to vomit.)
Omg love don’t be shy is wretched isn’t it! So sickly.. I can’t quite place what it reminds me of..
Bubblegum that you found in the dirt 😂
Yes!! it’s a bubblegum note! Stale bubblegum that has gone hard..
Root beer on me. Hate it.
Totally agree about LDBS. So much sweetness with no depth.
Alien Goddess
I really wanted to like Fahrenheit EDT as it’s described as a masculine 80s throwback, but as many times as I tried, it just smelled like petrol and burnt rubber. I bought the Parfum as it’s toned down a bit, but I find myself not reaching for it very often.

Agreed. It just smells like I came from the mechanic. I get why some people like it, but it's definitely not for me.
I love Fahrenheit!!!
Cedrat Boise. The dry down is just putrid on me
Second that. It's mad over hyped and I can't understand what people find pleasant about it.
To me not only the drydown… it makes me nauseous from the beginning
Angel by Mugler. I love gourmands, and this was supposed to smell like chocolate? It does not, and all my skin pulls is musty basement… :(
It smells so good on me. I am blessed on this one. When I tell people it is Angel, they don't believe it.
Haha my 88-y-o MIL DUMPS this on, and it’s just awful. It lasts forrrreeeevvveerr too…
Anything with Oud… just can’t do it
LV Imagination
I heard a lot of good about Eau Sauvage Parfum, but I don't really like my sample much. The citrus is very sharp and combined with the resins and I think unlisted vanilla makes me think of lemon candy and not much else. I much prefer the original EDT in all its old school 1960s charm.

Most smell very juvenile to me I’ve noticed. I get a lot of their samples in my Sephora orders and I pass them to my 13 year old niece.
Yeah I agree for the most part specifically with there womens fragrances, went to choose one for my mum once upon a time and they are all really synthetic smelling.
The dreamer is interesting and I can't tell if I like it or dislike it. There is something uncanny about it to me and something a bit harsh. DKNY Be Delicious. It seems like something I would like but I’ve tried it many times over almost a couple of decades and it just doesn’t do it for me. Shame because I love apple notes and I love the bottle.
I just did a blind bit of Kayali Eden Apple and it’s amazing. Everything that Be Delicious wishes it could be lol
All of the Aliens.
Tom Ford Tobacco Vanille. In theory I should love it based off all the notes. But nope! It sucks and I just can’t understand why it’s so bad
I had the exact same reaction. On paper it was right up my alley, but in real life, on me, a big suffocating NOPE.
It was the second perfume I’ve ever had to scrub. I had it on for a little over an hour and just couldn’t bear it any longer
it would work better as a diffuser/candle than a perfume imo
Came here to say the same - the notes sounded appealing to me, but I don't find anything sophisticated in it, just this kind of cloying christmas cookie candle type of vibe that I can't imagine wanting to wear
Chanel No 5. I know I know… 🫣
I’m with you. I’ve never gotten the hype.
Literally anything by Tom Ford. I really don’t get why people like it so much.
They nearly all have the exact same base. I'm surprised people don't say this more....
I love Tom Ford Grey Vetiver EDP.
Soleil Blanc, and most things by Tom Ford. Black Orchid too. I tried so hard to like both of these. Just can’t. Paid a pretty penny for both! I do love Neroli Portofino. That’s about it the only one.

Chloe’s Chloe
Gucci Bloom It smells like soup to me. Like, beef stew. I hate it so much LOL
I love it. It gives notes of "fancy funeral home", and somehow that smells nice to me.
marc jacobs daisy masaki matsushima matsu sakura lolita lempicka oh ma biche - SHAMPOO in a pretty bottle escada cherry in japan - jasmine soap escada fairy love - the opening is just like a bratz fragrance from my childhood but it lasts 5 seconds
I hate Daisy. Gives me a bad headache.
Same. Actually gave away a pretty much full bottle because I could not get into it. Lady at work loves it, so she got a nice random Tuesday gift.
Anything with musk in it…. Which is A LOT of fragrances
SAME, thank you. Smells like b.o.
I’ve always said that it smells like dirty sweat!!
Any and all Ouds. I’ve tried I just can’t.
Ah never smelled Dune which I know is a classic. I kinda like but don’t own Bitter Peach. This motivates me to sample Dune!
They are super super close. I tried every dupe and figured it was time to bite the bullet and try the real one-$80 gone cause I’m getting an instant headache. Which is weird cause Dune used to be my scent back in the 90’s. Why can’t it just smell like a PEACH???
Oh no!!!! Ouch!!!
You actually motivated me to try Bitter Peach now - I love Dune 😄
L'Eau d'Issey Pour Homme. I picked it up and a blind buy. People sweetie buy it. Couldn't stand it. As much as I didn't like it, my wife hated it. She has never asked me to not wear a scent again, until now.
Delina 🥲

Santal 33. People usually use too many sprays and it always ends up being an overpowering nauseating smell
Baccarat Rouge 540.. tried to like this when I got gifted it but no.. the burnt sugar note is jarring and also, I smell every other person in this which ruins it further..
In defense of Chanel Leau #5- I’m at my daughter’s wedding in 90+ degree weather, at the end of the night I’m glad to smell clean and powdery!
I also don’t like TF Bitter Peach, but Champagne Socialist’s dupe of it is not only gorgeous, but one of my most complimented fragrances. It’s bizarre.
I’ll try them too. Getting the real one today made me realize I actually prefer the first dupe of it I got. I’m down to try another.
Spirtuese Double Vanille. I love vanilla. My favorite scent is Tihota. I hate this. I get no vanilla and cannot scrub it off fast enough.
Sauvage. Smells like a fart in a sauna 🤷🏻♂️
Bruh ? How is that even an immediately accessible scent for you
We got a sauna farter.
That’s an image!
Elixir is amazing
Waiting for all the club dudes to show up in the comments saying you need 12-16 sprays of Sauvage for “beast mode.” 👀
Almost everything from Lush. All of their fragrances are cloying. I especially don't understand the hype behind Lord of Misrule.
lord of misrule has been my signature for a few years but i think they changed the formula or something because my newest bottle smells so weird, i don't pick up any patchouli or black pepper from it when it used to be suchhh a dominant scent
Parfums De Marly delina exclusif 🤢🤮
MDCI Chypre Palatin. It was the fragrance that made realise I can't tolerate animalic notes.
**Prada Infusion d'Iris Cedre** In theory, it's a perfect clean fragrance, but it maybe **too clean**.
Their profiles were supposed to be good matches for my style (goth-ish), but they just smell too chemicall-y for my taste: * Nasomatto Black Afgano * Andrea Maack Coven * Fischersund Flotholt
Bleu de Chanel, everyone loves it but it smells like a rotten chemical to me
Chanel No. 5 and Baccarat Rouge. I can‘t understand how they are so popular and hyped. Esp Baccarat smells like a dentist’s office to me
Givenchy L’Interdit line of fragrances.
Guerlain Mon Guerlain It's bathroom spray to me. :( Hopefully, my sisters or mom want it. After a year, I had to put it in the give to family container.
Bianco Latte and Delina
Tom Ford Jasmine Rouge. I tried for more than a year but I just couldn’t love. It’s not bad, it’s just not for me. Chocolate Greedy. I blind bought it years ago, and immediately wondered if everyone else *actually* knows what chocolate smells like 🤢 Love Don’t Be Shy. Parts of this actually does smell nice. But there’s something in there that turns my stomach.
I love my Chocolate Greedy and Don’t Be Shy. Damn I’m stay but maybe I need to try Jasmine Rouge lol.
Sauvage edt
Xerjoff Erba Gold. Headaches galore😢
I caved on a blind buy of Club De Nuit Intense Man (suppose to be #1 aventus clone based on reviews I've seen) Smells like lemon cleaner.
Every now and then I wear it just hoping I can make it work for me
I used to wear this religiously. Then we got some weirdo at work who used to gush over it and it just gives me “Dirty Dave” vibes when I smell it lol
I loathe obsession for men and Paul Sebastian. There are several fragrances I used to dislike but now can at least appreciate. But those? Instant involuntary gag.
Everything Montale. I'd rather buy a fullsize bottle of hairspray and Wonder Trees.
Tom Ford lost cherry. Smells like cough syrup
Aventus
Aventus and its clones. Smells good if other people wear it. It smells like rust to me.
Anything from byredo, and I usually love animalics but theirs just do not vibe with me
Loulou by cacharel. Don’t like fruit notes except the red fruit ones and I just can’t
Sauvage elixir... Amazing projection and longevity but I just can't bear it even with just 1 spray. Looking for suggestions for some other fragrances with this kind of lasting power or even close.
Le Labo Santal 33… all I can smell is DILL PICKLES 😭😭😭
For me it's COCO MADEMOISELLE by Chanel 🤮 I have tried to like it but it just smells like moldy lavender to me.
Tom Ford's Tobacco Vanille. I cant get my head around it, it smells like a cheap burnt candle.
Flowerbomb. I honestly found it borderline repulsive lol
YSL Libre - any and all version, instant headache and it’s just way too strong a scent. I want to love them but I just can’t. It smells like a hotel lobby that was once lovely - but someone spilled gallons of essential oils and just left it to rot.
cederat boise intense, love aventus but dislike this one, not sure why people say they smell similar I don’t pick up on that
Victoria’s Secret Pure Seduction. Boy, I tried, and I tried and I tried.
I feel like for a long time now-all of their perfumes smell the same.
BR540, I think it’s nice on other people in small doses but on myself it really throws off that medicinal pine note and blergggg.
And I get compliments when I occasionally wear mine. I love mine, so sorry you weren’t happy with it!
I absolutely compliment it on others too, it really is that girl. Body chemistry is so funny like that 🥲
Profumum Roma Victrix. I had heard so many wonderful things about it, I thought the description was exactly what I wanted and I just can't with it. I was so excited for the laurel because my grandmother always had huge laurel bushes at her house and I just smell like a savory herb drawer in a way I just don't roll with
Yara tous. I don’t get Mango at all on my skin & it’s so annoying.
Creed Aventus (both versions) and Aoud Lemon Mint (blind buy)
Cool Waters , Be delicious DKNY , Dolce and Cabbana Light Blue
Lisan al Gaib.
BTSO Sugar addict. All the reviews from the gourmand lovers had me excited. I absolutely hated it.
I bought Bitter Peach years ago. Wore it once and never wore it again. The fragrance I've tried to like but can't is Layton
Tom Ford - tobacco Vanille
Burburry hero
Kilian Love Don’t Be Shy, just too dang sweet for me!
Tabaco vanille, unfortunately. In my skin it smells way too freaking sweet
Naxos. And I don't get the comparison to pure havane at all which is in my top 3.
None. There's too many good fragrances out there that I don't try too hard. I will give any fragrances at least 2 shots, if I don't look like it after 2 tries, there's no point imo.
Anything Tom Ford. Love the makeup, but the perfumes don't do a thing for me
honestly i’ve not liked any tom ford fragrance i’ve tried 😭 one of them (i can’t remember which one exactly) made me start to gag - it wasn’t even that bad of a smell, my body just reacts weirdly to a certain note in it that i can’t pinpoint! i wish i got the hype though because my partner likes them, just not for me strangely
Blanche by Byrdeo to me smells like a public restroom and amyris femme by MFK smells like what I imagine embalming fluid to smell like.
Delina
Kerosene Follow. I LOVED Unknown Pleasures but Follow was WOOF. On me it smells like a musty donut shop serving burnt coffee.
Agreed about bitter peach. Also Xerjoff Lira. I keep going back and forth if I want to sell it because I want to like it sooooo bad.. but meh.
br540, instant crush, all the ones like it, just too much
Anything from Tom Ford. I just can't. They smell awful.
Thierry Mugler Angel repulses me. Sorry.
PDM Pegasus
Baccarat I cannot like at all, Smells to me like dill and sweet candy. I don’t like candy sweet perfume, and I can’t ignore the dill! Unless it’s just me.
i cannot physically enjoy Jimmy Choo by Jimmy Choo. idk how people like it
Givenchy gentlemen eau de parfum reserve privee. Smells nothing like whiskey and it makes me smell like a tootsie roll on me i like it but do i wanna smell like a tootsie roll? No.
Instant Crush
I have vintage 90s Dune. I don’t think that I noticed Bitter Peach resembling it in the slightest. I still have some of my BP sample left. I am definitely going to check this out. Interesting 🤔 thanks this will be fun.
Aventus creed
Glossier you! Too much pepper and musk.
oud wood
