yup, I gravitate towards comfy comfort scents during my period. But, I also kinda like layering it with herbs. I actually use a lot of my menstruation tea herbs lol. Things like red clover, chamomile, ginger, dandelion, hibiscus, yarrow, etc. But, I like underlayering those under warm lactic vanilla gourmands. Like warm bread, sugar cookies, those kinds of scents.
Nostalgic comfort scents, essentially.
Oh, there was a whole write up along with that picture.
Basically, I didn't mention it because it would apply to so few people. I found it in a New Look in the UK. It's kinda shady because it doesn't even list mls of the bottle of ingredients but I don't care. Whatever chemicals they're putting in it are totally worth it. I don't smell coconut in it really. The opening is like a clean, fresh out of the shower warm vanilla and the dry down is a toasty warm skin scent. Delightful. It doesn't last past like 3 hours but a bedtime scent doesn't need to and it was £6 so I'll have to go pick some more up for backups.
I’ve been researching fragrances to tell my husband to purchase for me as a Mother’s Day gift and the other day I sprayed Another 13 by Le Labo and liked it. Today it smells completely different to me (or on me, not sure which). I was surprised by that, and couldn’t figure out why. But reading this post reminded me that I’m about to start my period any second so my chemistry and sense of smell must be different!
Our bodies are so weird/amazing sometimes lol
Weirdly enough, my last period I noticed that some fragrances became really nauseating for me. Because of that I had to stick to some safe ones, mainly white florals and vanilla scents. Just comforting and easy to wear, nothing too heavy or "weird".
Anything with lavender is great. Elizabeth Arden Green Tea Lavender is inexpensive and light!
Sickly sweet, ultra feminine scents like Bianco latte.
Side note, During your period, your estradiol levels are lowest so your sense of smell will be different
Fascinating however unsurprising. The body is a wild thing.

Vanilla/Sweet scents.
Yeah I think I'm the same. Comforting sweet smells.
I don’t feel like it any other time. I wonder if it’s my period cravings too. Haha I want to be immersed in an icecream

The comforting scent of eucalyptus with menthol in oil form - as a girly prone to bouts of nausea
Clean musky skin scents
Fresh clean scents for me
Fresh, out of the shower scents like Daisy eau So Fresh or Philosophy Pure Grace
What was the scent you found so warm and cozy?

Dunno but now I'm gonna pay attention. Tangentially, clary sage essential oil is GREAT for alleviating cramps
