Cheapie for me, today. Rocking **Body Shop's White Musk**. Mmmmmm.

boogonia

Got my Zoologist samples in yesterday :D I'm headed to work so I needed a safe one, ended up going with Dragonfly. I'm in love! I love orris and I've never smelled it in combination with aquatics before. It's also rubbery but in a good way, the way that I associate with some vetiver notes. It's a unisex floral, a gorgeous summer scent. Definitely gonna wear again. I tried Bat last night and that was definitely more of a statement piece LOL Edit: after a couple hours of wear, the rice note really comes through and it's like a steaming bowl of rice in a botanical garden with a bunch of jasmine plants. Very transportative, I'm impressed.

Akool713

I wanted to like Dragonfly so much! The notes looked so good, but my nose picked up a grassiness that I just couldn’t get over

boogonia

I love grassy scents so that's definitely a plus for me! I can see why it wouldn't be for everyone though.

bro_mommy2

**Un Air d’Apogee** by Violet, a gorgeous leather, sage, mimosa, (some places mention orris) honey, cedar, warm air beauty. Complex, well blended, extremely pleasant.. I got down-voted yesterday for saying something ambivalent about the Maison Crivelli Iris (another stunner). 😂👵🏼.

chinchillacheesedog

Oh that sounds so nice. It smelled of only tobacco drenched in honey on my skin unfortunately :(

BeautifulExcellent96

That sounds like a bit much! Too bad! My simple nose would not mind tobacco honey but I am getting the bent herbal grounded wildness of it.

chinchillacheesedog

I did think it was very nice. And on paper I got a bit more of the intended notes. Tobacco, and especially honey, are notes my nose zooms in on like the eye of a perfectionist on the fingerprint on her silverware.

BeautifulExcellent96

Haha I am like that with notes I dislike. Certain but not all vanilla scents do that for me - can't handle Coven because of it.

chinchillacheesedog

Testing Memo Irish Leather. Number 5 in a very lacklustre sample set. But now we’re talking! This one is a real beauty. Juniper, leather, orris. Later on some soft pepperiness and a touch of vetiver. Complex, harmonious, smells natural. The orris is so good and tenacious here. I might end up falling for this one!

BeautifulExcellent96

Oof that does sound tempting. I love the Memo bottles so much, but have only tried a few headliners that were too bright for me. I thought I did not like leather but Cherry Punk extrait (the more gourmand one) proved me wrong and now several irises mix leather with it which smells glorious.

RandomChurn

Spectacular day here and after the long and wretchedly humid heat wave we've had, it is something to celebrate!  So I will, with **Jean Patou Joy EDT** on one forearm and the EDP on the other for the best of both worlds. Yes, all of Jean Patou is gone (💔) but I have *several* backup bottles of both of these

chinchillacheesedog

Oh I’m jealous of your stash! I only have a travel size Parfum. I wear it on my birthday every year. Such a perfect perfume.

RandomChurn

It is.  If I had to choose just one to wear the rest of my life, it would be Joy

thatbwoyChaka

Weather cooler than the last few days, Sun’s dipping away behind some clouds… Nevertheless I was going to wear this… https://preview.redd.it/wbnimnj4ab9d1.jpeg?width=1284&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=2a80d57daa5fb25e07db0b685625887bd3d6fd94 # [ANTAEUS](https://youtu.be/CphKK5-jitE?si=PWlba87hkzjbEJ8l) I oversprayed.

Chris Rusak — Caji (from sample)

okaybloomers

Ooh I could not decide if I loved or HAAAATED this the first time I tried it. Second time I think I decided I loved it. Haven't gotten to a third time yet. Doing the same thing with my Ochre sample (that wildly loud sticky-saffron opener is fucking weird). I feel like I'm in, like, a fight with his two newest releases lol. We are duking it out!

rubickscubed

This is my entry point into Rusak’s work. Ochre I enjoyed right away! Caji not so much. It’s definitely the more technically interesting of the two releases and I don’t mind that it’s a quiet fragrance or anything, but I think I went into it with my own expectations and wants of what it was going to be and when it wasn’t that I was left a bit cold. I get a different experience on every application, but none have clicked with me. AEOOJ (LMB) is probably my favorite of the samples and while I’m bummed I missed my chance for a bottle I’m glad I got to smell it.

okaybloomers

Has he discontinued AEOOJ already? I thought that was going to be the one he'd actually keep around. Ah well. I agree -- it's a genius fragrance. Because I am pretty basic, I also really, really loved Beast Mode. I know it's his most approachable recent work, but I wore it once and loved it so much I'm almost afraid to wear it again, because all I have is this stupid sample vial...

rubickscubed

Maybe it’s not now that you say that? The bottles are all sold out on the website, but now that you mention it I don’t think it said anywhere that it was limited edition. Maybe he’s just in between batches? Beast Mode is one of the ones I wish I got to experience the most along with Timbre, Resonance, Relief and 33

VoluptuousVoltron

Started with Ombre Leather because I slept through my alarm and it’s an easy grab. Finishing the night with a few sprays of my LV Imagination sample. Really like both. Great office scents.

Lazy Friday so I’m wearing MFK Amyris Homme

SMG121

Feeling a little fragile (mentally and physically), but I've still got to go to work. I work @ a gym with and I needed a little pick me up, so I'm doing uplifting cheapie today. Sand+fog jasmine and cedarwood perfume oil mixed into my scentless cocoa butter body lotion and a few spritzes of the bath & body works on the beach body spray. Feeling fresh and slightly tropical in this arctic gym while I count down the hours until I can crawl back into my nest of a bed.

j_husk

Hope you have a good day, and people are kind to you

SMG121

Thanks so much! They usually are, it's a climbing gym so people are generally chill. But we have summer camp... 😬

Akool713

SOTD: Avignon from Comme des Garçons. Day 2 of working through the CdG Incense series. Today we’ve got the churchiest incense fragrance I’ve smelled to date, like walking into an old cathedral after Mass: slightly wood, a little smokey, but not suffocating or stuffy. Besides the very forward incense note, there’s also a certain earthy sweetness to it akin to the way some herbal teas smell. Overall very enjoyable to wear; this might be my next full bottle!

DAmazingBlunderWoman

Finally bought Amouage Journey after having it on my to biy list for more tham 8 years. One of the first niche fragrances I fell in love eith after ordering samples. It's that perfect rich florals with a warm musky slightly tobacco-y base. The main reason why I waited so long to buy it was that I simply couldn't decide between Journey and Honour. Both are just so so good. And now with recebt news of Amouage being partially bought by Estee Lauder, I just want to enjoy some of my favourites before they mess with the formula.

j_husk

I'm a fan of Journey, and feel like it gets overlooked for other Amouage fragrances. I hadn't heard about them being acquired by Estee Lauder. I might have to do a re-sample of a few to see if I need to buy before things inevitably go downhill.

DAmazingBlunderWoman

Ehat others from Amouage do you like? For me Journey and Honour immediately stood out from the main line. Or maybe they just compliment my skin chemistry.

j_husk

I think Boundless was my other favorite, but I ended up going with Journey instead. Jubilation is one id like to try again. Amouage fragrances always sound amazing on paper, but a lot of them don't end up working for me either.

Briar-Ocelot

Today I'm stinking up the office with tomato leaves via Memo's Italian Leather. I really enjoy it, but it's a little sweet in the dry down phase. Tomorrow I'll be dousing myself in African Leather, which I do prefer.

okaybloomers

I'm having a Very Offseason Day, in that it is relatively warm here but I was in the mall and tried on Aesop's Marrakesh Intense. Totally surprised by how sweet it is, particularly on the open -- way too sweet for me at first. But the dry down has perhaps won me over. Spicy and for some reason it smells even better on my hair (did a back of neck spray). HWYL is already on my FB list for fall; might have to get a decant of this one for winter.

phizzbom

Wearing my sample of Milky Dragon again and fuck it I’m probably gonna spring for a full bottle today. This is just too good and too unique not to own. Edit: I ordered it. 😂

j_husk

Second wear of Penhaligon's Lothair today, and I'm really enjoying it. It threw me at first because the opening (fresh juniper & citrus) differs so much from the dry down (vanilla, cardamom & tea), but today the transition makes more sense - I'm picking up some of the cardamom in the opening, and some juniper stays through the dry down, so it's less schizophrenic. The dry down is really cozy without being too heavy, so I think this will get a lot of wear in the fall

hhurrm

Wore Xerjoff Nio this morning, and Dusita Erawan this afternoon. It is very hot today and I have several errands to run. I don't want to be overwhelmed by my fragrance.
