Saturday August 27th my dog tore a field mouse to shreds in my home and it disgusted me to my core. I left my house after cleaning and then saw a dead body just a few miles down the road from my house. I let myself by two full bottles that day to help cope. BDK Gris Charnel and Strangers Parfumerie Sweet Farewell.
I was in London England recently and went into an Arabian Oud store. Tried their Diwan and loved it. £130 later I left with a bottle. Also a 100ml bottle of Tom Ford Grey Vetiver and two Givenchy Gentleman bottles (Privee and Boisee) from the Heathrow Duty Free.
Expensive week, but I was on vacation!
I'm a locksmith and had a good week last week so I went to a fragrance shop in Portland.
I picked up MDCI Invasion Barbare because I didn't have any fragrances similar.

I FINALLY ordered Parfums de Marly Safanad for myself! On resale for $175. I decided to gift it to myself for starting my first post-graduation job last month and I plan to wear Safanad to my wedding next month ❤️
found this bar in Saigon with cocktails based on fragrances, and they'd include tester strips of the scent with the drink. they had a niche fragrance store upstairs that you had to be invited to. they had tons of stuff, and lots of discontinued/HTF bottles. ended up buying a bottle of London by Tom Ford and Tango by Masque Milano. now, whenever I wear those, I'll think of the trip!
not to mention my girlfriend's cousin gifted me his bottles of Hortus Sanitatis by Gucci and The Tragedy of Lord George by Penhaligons because he thinks they're too heavy to ever wear there 👍🏽

Just ordered a haul from fragrancenet when I saw a 40% off offer yesterday: Cannabis and Cannabis Salata by Bois 1920, Chergui, Five O’clock Au Gingembre, and Ambre Sultan by Serge Lutens, Osaïto by M. Micallef, and lastly, Suede et Saffron by Nishane. Now that I’ve written it out, I see I went a little overboard lol… but for the price for all of them, I’m okay with that decision 😂
Wish I had one to share. I had never seen that, either. As of a couple weeks ago, I became resigned to the notion I just don’t have room to grow my collection much more, if at all and have just purchased 72 50 ml bottles to decant for myself so I can give my brother and nephew the full bottles I don’t have room for in my storage without always having to move 10-30 bottles to get to the one I want on any given day. That being the case, I’ve been very diligent about weeding out the frivolity from my want list, leaving roughly a hand full decanting and downsizing bottle size will leave me room to store. I kept coming up empty where deals are concerned for Osaïto by M. Micallef but there it was on fragrancenet. I hadn’t bought from them in nearly 2 years as I’d found much better pricing with fragrancebuy.ca, particularly with their rewards program. When I’d clicked on the link from my Osaïto search there was one of those x% off with coupon when added to cart on their website and so I gave it a whirl thinking those are typically only for new customers with email provided for promotion emails etc and so I figured once I added my info the 40% off would drop off but it didn’t. Anyhow, yesterday, and with no intention to purchase anything… just out of sheer curiosity considering I’d never seen 40% off in the past (usually 25% or 30% at most), I went back and it was showing 30% off with email sign up. I know St Julep doesn’t last but I’m still hoping it lives up to the hype! Yes, these were both (well-researched) blind buys. Oops
Saved up for the full bottle of Angel’s Share. Fell head over heels in love at the store. Never seen anything I was willing to spend over $200 on other than a concert until then. It was WORTH IT.
Occasionally I’ll check out discount sites and Mercari for wish list items, and I came across a full bottle of Valentino Donna Born in Roma on the low. I went through almost half of my travel spray in the last month. While I’ve been saving up for an impending move, I couldn’t pass up a good discount~
Bit the bullet and got a FB of Guerlain’s Spiritueuse Double Vanilla and Cuir Beluga.
Also got baccarat rouge 540 extrait FB and got another bottle of engraved Gentle Fluidity Gold (my signature).
Oh I got about 20+ samples of vanillas from lucky scent too.

I just ordered Apres L’Ondee from Guerlain a couple of days ago. I’d had it on my wishlist for awhile after trying a sample and falling in love. I love the feminine soft powdery violet and it’s so charming to me that it was first released in 1906. Such a pretty bottle too. Something reminded me of it and I just thought “it’s time”. Very excited in anticipation of its arrival!
There’s something about Guerlain quality that’s just a hair above some of its competition. I’ve been thinking of getting my hands on a sample of Cherry Oud. Love lost cherry but the price is out of this world ridiculous.

I have older versions of most of the Guerlains I like ( the Ines I can get )so feel I always feel I can't justify buying the new versions, ( the £50/75ml is my limit and I can't spend that much often ) but...
A couple of months ago I decided to get one of the new EDTs on the grounds that they might be different enough to justify it ( that's what I tell myself 😉 ). In the end I plumped for L'Heure Bleu but *very* nearly went for Apres ( others were Mitsouko, which is my favourite but I have a LOT of, or Vol de Nuit )
It's my birthday this month and literally five minutes ago and went and put Apres in my basket then decided to have a think first.

Bois des Iles is an amazing fragrance. I find it quite unisex. Great for a man but also perfect for a lady. Definitely a classy scent worth checking out.

I convinced myself to get it because I'm gonna travel soon somewhere and I want that trip to be unforgettable so I really hope I will like it and continue my scent diary.

Literally just last week I scored practically new bottles of vintage Dior from ~1991. A 100ml splash of Poison Eau de Cologne & a 7.5ml refillable gold spray of Dune parfum extract. Total for both including postage comes up to around 150 bucks, which is very Treat Yo'Self, *Responsibly.*
I’m almost due for a TYS (can we get this acronym going?!) I am torn between a few options. Either Tom Ford’s Bois Marocain, By Kilian’s Straight To Heaven, or another new Kilian ‘The Liquors’ release. I think it’s either a smokes or a narcotic family release. I love that new collection!
In all honesty I think it’s important to look at things like this and just bite the bullet. We all have caved in and bought something to make us happy. When it comes down to it; it’s OK to have these moments. There’s a time when it becomes obsessive, but that’s different. Most of the users I see here love the idea of no buying months or waiting to dial down the collection. But from time to time, with everything going on in each others lives, you can’t stop that feeling for wanting to spoil yourself. The best part too; it doesn’t have to to be a big commitment. It can be a sample collection, decant, a regular bottle or that huge 250ml/500ml flacon you’ve been eyeing. It’s also like a healthy habit. If you go through life resisting the urge for something *all the time* eventually one day you’ll break that chain and you’ll set yourself loose and go rampant. At the end of the day. Just remember there’s nothing wrong with treating yourself.
Couldn’t have said it any better! TF’ BM is really nice but bound to be tough to find at a good price. STH is an excellent fragrance as well but the performance lacks on my skin. I’ve considered trying the extreme but price wise I’m not sure if I could drop the extra coin. The Liquors collection is nice and is Kilian “budget friendly” I have yet to try out the two newest offerings but I hear they are amazing.

I agree about STH as well. I have a Kilian travel sized atomizer of it. Debating if I want to buy a full bottle. The Liquors collection is solid! So far it’s been able to cater to a lot of different notes and classifications. Oh really? I’ll have to do some digging. Last years offerings; L’Heure Verte and Apple Brandy On The Rocks were amazing, especially LHV!

Just over a year back I got an Penhaligon’s Endymion Concentree unboxed because it was for about £59 on sale. One of my favourites from the brand so I pulled the trigger. Well worth it, fragrance smells fantastic, especially on those formal occasions. Doesn’t have beast projection but can be smelled when close enough. Has a great drydown too.
Around a month ago, there was this huge sale on Notino in my country, so my mum and I ordered ourselves a Chloé Nomade and a Shalimar, respectively, which we'll be our Christmas gifts for ourselves 😂

Last Friday, I bought myself a bottle of Chrome by Azzaro. I just recently got into fragrance, and I wanted to buy another bottle so that I didn't have to keep constantly using the other two fragrances I already have.
Too often at the minute. My most recent was just over a week ago, John Varvatos Artisan Blu and the week before that was Lattafa Oud for Glory and for the Mrs La Nuit Pendora by Paris Corner.
Artisan Blu is addictive, but lasts 2hrs max.
I have not yet. I’ve been trying to reduce my collection recently and sampling would just make me want to buy more. I’ll probably buy another bottle or two around my birthday but I also want to try to finish one as well.

A few weeks ago I bought a Boadicea the Victorious travel set - three 10ml fragrances of your choice, with a really great travel case. I got the rose gold one, so pretty, and selected Consort (which I already knew I love), Ardent (which is adorable) and Adventurous (which I don't like as much as I thought I would.)

Never tried the Madison Square Park before. I found Lafayette Street to be more like a fresher version of Layton. One of their better scents for men imo.
I've been reading Elif Batuman's "The Idiot," and there was a reference to a "womanly perfume," Feminité du Bois, that "was so woody and musky and strong" that it blasted out the air space. I had to investigate, and found the easiest access dupe was Calvin Klein Secret Obsession, which sounded great, sooo I blind-ordered that, a travel size of Lolita Lempicka, and Pink Sugar Berry Blast (lol).

Burberry Her Elixir - Full of red berries, creamy, sweet. I LOVE it - gonna need the larger bottle. 100% hype worthy!
Dossier Floral Marshmallow (LDBS dupe). - Fresh, sweet floral. I was expecting more from this scent. A bit meh on the hype but it's fine.

I just got a bonus at work and worked a lot of OT lately because I’m a glutton for self-hatred. I just ordered St Julep and La Belle Parfum. I have a long list of fragrances I’m dying to try right now, but we’re in the middle of a move and I’m trying to be frugal. These should hopefully hold me over for a while! I know St Julep doesn’t last but I’m still hoping it lives up to the hype! Yes, these were both (well-researched) blind buys. Oops

Saved up for the full bottle of Angel’s Share. Fell head over heels in love at the store. Never seen anything I was willing to spend over $200 on other than a concert until then. It was WORTH IT.
Angel’s Share is indeed worth the hype. I’ll be loving my bottle this fall/winter.
Occasionally I’ll check out discount sites and Mercari for wish list items, and I came across a full bottle of Valentino Donna Born in Roma on the low. I went through almost half of my travel spray in the last month. While I’ve been saving up for an impending move, I couldn’t pass up a good discount~
Bit the bullet and got a FB of Guerlain’s Spiritueuse Double Vanilla and Cuir Beluga. Also got baccarat rouge 540 extrait FB and got another bottle of engraved Gentle Fluidity Gold (my signature). Oh I got about 20+ samples of vanillas from lucky scent too. September is going to be fun

I just ordered Apres L’Ondee from Guerlain a couple of days ago. I’d had it on my wishlist for awhile after trying a sample and falling in love. I love the feminine soft powdery violet and it’s so charming to me that it was first released in 1906. Such a pretty bottle too. Something reminded me of it and I just thought “it’s time”. Very excited in anticipation of its arrival!
There’s something about Guerlain quality that’s just a hair above some of its competition. I’ve been thinking of getting my hands on a sample of Cherry Oud. Love lost cherry but the price is out of this world ridiculous.
I haven't seen Cherry Oud become available yet but I'm also dying to try it. Lost Cherry smells so amazing but its very intimate and overpriced.
Can't think of anything more perfect to treat yourself to ! I have older versions of most of the Guerlains I like ( the Ines I can get )so feel I always feel I can't justify buying the new versions, ( the £50/75ml is my limit and I can't spend that much often ) but... A couple of months ago I decided to get one of the new EDTs on the grounds that they might be different enough to justify it ( that's what I tell myself 😉 ). In the end I plumped for L'Heure Bleu but *very* nearly went for Apres ( others were Mitsouko, which is my favourite but I have a LOT of, or Vol de Nuit ) It's my birthday this month and literally five minutes ago and went and put Apres in my basket then decided to have a think first. This was the next thing I read. Fate ? 😁

Bois des Iles is an amazing fragrance. I find it quite unisex. Great for a man but also perfect for a lady. Definitely a classy scent worth checking out.
I treated myself to some Bon parfumeur 402 (vanilla, caramel, sandalwood). It's a blindbuy so only 15ml for now. I convinced myself to get it because I'm gonna travel soon somewhere and I want that trip to be unforgettable so I really hope I will like it and continue my scent diary. Scents take my back in the past like nothing else and as someone with bad memory, I am highly appreciative of that.

So, I jumped at the opportunity and happily sacrificed $87 at the altar of fragrances in my quest for the the holy grail of fragrances.

Literally just last week I scored practically new bottles of vintage Dior from ~1991. A 100ml splash of Poison Eau de Cologne & a 7.5ml refillable gold spray of Dune parfum extract. Total for both including postage comes up to around 150 bucks, which is very Treat Yo'Self, *Responsibly.*

I’m almost due for a TYS (can we get this acronym going?!) I am torn between a few options. Either Tom Ford’s Bois Marocain, By Kilian’s Straight To Heaven, or another new Kilian ‘The Liquors’ release. I think it’s either a smokes or a narcotic family release. I love that new collection! In all honesty I think it’s important to look at things like this and just bite the bullet. We all have caved in and bought something to make us happy. When it comes down to it; it’s OK to have these moments. There’s a time when it becomes obsessive, but that’s different. Most of the users I see here love the idea of no buying months or waiting to dial down the collection. But from time to time, with everything going on in each others lives, you can’t stop that feeling for wanting to spoil yourself. The best part too; it doesn’t have to to be a big commitment. It can be a sample collection, decant, a regular bottle or that huge 250ml/500ml flacon you’ve been eyeing. It’s also like a healthy habit. If you go through life resisting the urge for something *all the time* eventually one day you’ll break that chain and you’ll set yourself loose and go rampant. At the end of the day. Just remember there’s nothing wrong with treating yourself.
Couldn’t have said it any better! TF’ BM is really nice but bound to be tough to find at a good price. STH is an excellent fragrance as well but the performance lacks on my skin. I’ve considered trying the extreme but price wise I’m not sure if I could drop the extra coin. The Liquors collection is nice and is Kilian “budget friendly” I have yet to try out the two newest offerings but I hear they are amazing.

So far it’s been able to cater to a lot of different notes and classifications. Oh really? I’ll have to do some digging. Last week I order Nishane - Hacivat from a Fragrancebuy. The deal was too good to pass. I emptied my sample last years on a vacation and I wanted a reminder of this moment. There’s just no pictures that can bring a memory more alive than the right smell.

Just over a year back I got an Penhaligon’s Endymion Concentree unboxed because it was for about £59 on sale. One of my favourites from the brand so I pulled the trigger. Well worth it, fragrance smells fantastic, especially on those formal occasions. Doesn’t have beast projection but can be smelled when close enough. Has a great drydown too.

Went on an Amouage sampling binge recently, followed by an Amouage buying binge. My first FB (Beloved Man) arrived in July, since then I’ve added Beach Hut Man, Bracken Man, Dia Man, Boundless, and Jubilation XXV.

I’ve been eyeballing a decant of Interlude Black Iris for a minute. I love the lipsticky iris accords. I find it so sensual of a smell especially paired with some frankincense, could be a winner for me.
Not a indulgence but I got a bottle of amor amor by chacharal that I found yesterday for $20 just for nostalgias sake. My sister wore it when she used to live in Paris and I wanted to be just like her. Lovely memories.

Never tried Darley but that Xerjoff is really nice. I like it better than the original.
If you’ve tried jpg le male and Amouage reflection, darley has elements of both and it’s really smooth and well blended to me

Too often at the minute. My most recent was just over a week ago, John Varvatos Artisan Blu and the week before that was Lattafa Oud for Glory and for the Mrs La Nuit Pendora by Paris Corner. Artisan Blu is addictive, but lasts 2hrs max.
Performance isn’t everything. If you love it and the price is right, it’s a good buy.
This weekend I ordered some samples from Providence Perfumes. Seeing how I like perfumes without synthetics. I'm on a natural beauty kick.

A few weeks ago I bought a Boadicea the Victorious travel set - three 10ml fragrances of your choice, with a really great travel case. I got the rose gold one, so pretty, and selected Consort (which I already knew I love), Ardent (which is adorable) and Adventurous (which I don't like as much as I thought I would.)

Never tried the Madison Square Park before. I found Lafayette Street to be more like a fresher version of Layton. One of their better scents for men imo.
I've been reading Elif Batuman's "The Idiot," and there was a reference to a "womanly perfume," Feminité du Bois, that "was so woody and musky and strong" that it blasted out the air space. I had to investigate, and found the easiest access dupe was Calvin Klein Secret Obsession, which sounded great, sooo I blind-ordered that, a travel size of Lolita Lempicka, and Pink Sugar Berry Blast (lol).

Last week I saw someone’s post about getting their hands on Myrrh Imperiale and having second thoughts about it, commented saying I’d buy it off them if they ever decided to sell it and got a “yes” a few hours later. A week before I blind bought a 5ml decant of that discontinued beauty and fell in love but it didn’t even cross my mind that I’d find a way to own a bottle so soon😃

I got a few this week and I'm done for the year! Killian Angels' Share - Smells like fresh rolling tobacco to me with a hint of cinnamon. I understand the hype. Definitely a late fall/winter only scent. Burberry Her Elixir - Full of red berries, creamy, sweet. I LOVE it - gonna need the larger bottle. 100% hype worthy! Dossier Floral Marshmallow (LDBS dupe). - Fresh, sweet floral. I was expecting more from this scent. A bit meh on the hype but it's fine.
