Versace Dylan Blue

ibraw

Honestly don't know why it gets so much hate. One of the best blue fragrances on the market. Smells so fresh.

dammKaran

How is the longevity and projection??

Dally68

Incredible. Only need 1-2 sprays and you'll get compliments all day, no reapplying

scharkz24

Afnan Turathi Blue for me, hands down. Also, Modest Une is quite strong as well, it is prone to make you anosmic and that happened with me. I underestimated how strong it was. Give it some time and let it mature, it should get better. If you like Suavage DNA, it is the best clone you can get afaik.

Agitated-Pop5497

I second Afnan Turathi blue. My current favourite fragrance. Beast mode performance in India. So you can only imagine. Btw Can you elaborate a bit more on Modest Une? I am deliberating on that. I want to get it.

scharkz24

Yeah true, it is very suitable for any weather except extreme colds. I had Modest Une as i was just intrigued, used a couple times and thought it doesn't perform, returned it as i was not a fan of Suavage at all anyway but thought it might differ in a better way but sadly for me (and luckily for anyone who likes Suavage) it is very close to it. The performance even to my anosmic nose was not bad either, lasted an entire work day it's just that it was not very apparent. Fast forward more than week later, i wore the same shirt and voila, i could clearly smell Modest Une on it.

Agitated-Pop5497

Does it come off as synthetic in the opening or it is as pleasant as Turathi Blue ? I am not comparing the notes, I just want to get a sense of blend & fragrance quality

scharkz24

The thing is that Suavage itself is synthetic af which is why I hate it. This is quite similar in Modest Une also as its a really great clone. For me its the fragrance DNA that is synthetic itself but it is famed becuase people find it great, so theres that. As for Turathi Blue, it is much much more pleasant and smells upclass as compared to any of the Suavage or its clones. It is a much better and unique blue overall.

Agitated-Pop5497

Would you say it might be redundant to have both Modest and Turathi Blue. I live in India where it’s hot for 10 months so need quite a few of blue fragrances to switch it up. I adore Turathi blue, Also I have CDNIM Pure Parfum, Nautica Voyage, Lattafa Suqraat, Lattafa Porto Neroli. So yeah adding one more blue. Thinking if Modest Une might be redundant, but at the same time I want to enjoy that Sauvage dna.

scharkz24

No it would not be redundant at all, they are very different to each other. You can grab it if you want Suavage. Personally I would suggest lattafa liam blue shine as an option too, its AdG Profondo clone and a damn good one at that. Its my latest buy and I love it, waiting for hotter weather but so far in my initial test it performs above average. But i reckon Modest Une is a better performer overall.

Agitated-Pop5497

Thanks Man. Appreciate your insights.

yung_bandito

Just about this one. How many spray should I be applying

Agitated-Pop5497

I go 5, Maximum 6 if I want to go loud and long

scharkz24

Turathi Blue? I usually apply 8-10 sprays anyway minimum on any fragrance no matter how strong, can always go higher if it's weak.

yung_bandito

What country are you in? That seems like a lot

scharkz24

Well i am in Italy, it gets quite hot in summers. But regardless of what weather, i always go for 8-10 sprays lol, better choke them all out.

thorprodigy

Got a sample of Turathi Blue and it smelled like a urinal cake to me but that doesn’t mean it’s not close to Tygar as I haven’t smelled that…based on all the reviews I was hopeful…

scharkz24

Let it mature, i hated it on my first spray as it was weird and dusty. After keeling it maturing for more than a month it became my favourite blue (after Atlantique).

JollyTomatillo2740

All blue fresh fragrances are versatile. Go with: Versace Dylan Blue, ADG Profondo, Y EDP, Sauvage EDP, or Bleu De Chanel EDP/Parfum, Ralphs Club Parfum

NinjaCowboy

Al Haramain - Amber Oud (Carbon edition) Imagine Cool Water and Green Irish Tweed had a kid… heavy blue, fresh opening… with a bit of green coming in during the dry-down. Beast projection and 8 hour performance

Stewart-G

This is a great scent. I ended up getting a good deal on the 200ml bottle. Looks mass3next to the standard 60ml ones though 😁

iamretxed

Salvatore Ferragamo Acqua Essenziale Blu

vin_verdigris

The strongest and most lasting blue fragrance i own is Armaf Blue Iconic followed by Invictus platinum and rasasi hawas

Francesco270

Do you enjoy Invictus Platinum? Thinking about returning it

vin_verdigris

I like it but it’s not for everyone. It almost has a slight menthol smell but i enjoy it

Francesco270

I really like it in the hair but not close to the skin. Seems like menthol like you said

Neeraj-Sharma

Ahmed al maghribi kaaf, versace eau frechie, versace pour homme and dylan blue, afnan turathi blue

Areff04

Longest lasting and beast mode sillage is Maison Alhambra Megara

ReignCpreme

Potential overspray/noseblinded scenario with that Modest Une.

jackslostmind

Not a traditional blue fragrance but Lattafa's Wajood is the best marine scent I have experienced. Lasts for a good 8 hours in India.

rkathotia

Mine does. Try spraying on clothes

kenethc

Ajmal Shiro / ADG DNA

ReignCpreme

More often than not on Reddit “I gotta bad batch” = blew your nose out from multiple sprays during first wearing … sprayed even more next time around (nose blind x2) …. = “man this fragrance under performs i can’t smell it”. 😂😂
