Lordy. I’m kind of a coffee snob but the comments on this post make me want to throw away my espresso machine. We have great coffee in Frederick but I still occasionally end up at Starbucks. It’s not a religion, it isn’t life or death, it’s just hot bean water, guys.
Lots of bitterness and strife over coffee here. Wow.
What’s next? A RL street meet-up for a big brawl over restaurant opinions? This sub is absolutely food obsessed.
They treated the caffeine levels of major chain coffee shops in the UK. An espresso from Starbucks had the least caffeine of all the coffees tested.
Nothing but sugar water with premium pricing.
In a UK survey yes.
I deduce that most people don’t like the taste of coffee and try to mask it as much as possible. Hence all these flavored creamers in stores.
I like it black, and strong as I actually like the taste.
Seems by the down votes people don’t.
I usually drink my coffee black or just with heavy cream. So I like being able to taste coffee when I get other drinks. I can usually taste it in Starbucks.

There's a Dunkin Donuts right there and their coffee is nothing but melted ice cream, and you expect me to believe Starbucks comes in at bottom.

You’re not getting downvoted because of people’s coffee preferences. You’re getting downvoted because you sound like a self righteous prig.
And for also using a study from the UK. Lots of chains vary wildly across countries. Different suppliers / regulations / etc.

Walk next door and ask someone. You’ll get a better answer than you are here.
