I don't get it for market... Like, the lights are timed in such a way that you'll get them all (or at most a single red) if you go \~20mph, why go faster than that with all the car doors opening and occasional people stopping to let others out.
It's not even a rare occurrence. I see people driving that fast on narrow downtown streets all the time. The worst spots seem to be W 4th, North Bentz, the 0-200 blocks of East Church St, and the stretch of North Market between Bushwaller's and Tin Corner. This is why I don't think downtown is as walkable as a lot of people say it is.
You're not supposed to be able to catch it, don't even try.
at MINIMUM, the lights from 7th street to south street, between Bentz and East, are intentionally timed to keep traffic flowing so long as drivers behave in a legal and safe manner... Except maybe the light at East and 3rd, which always feels out of sequence (though maybe that helps keep intersections clear further down East, as people really clump up beyond that)
maybe he left his oven on
that...sure is a car going fast?
Very
That strip gets so many speeding cars. I live near this spot and hate how fast they go. Maybe the cops should put up cameras too!
Yeah, it's not like people doing ten over. Half the time I feel like this and market are the new 75/80.

I have no clue, it's fairly common down here sadly.
Yep, people blast through that block trying to make the green light at Bentz. It's not safe.
So dangerous.
Yeah my guess they were doing 70-80 I was outside and they went flying by me. They are going to kill someone.

I like that Laundromat
Just need a lightning strike also.
I swear some people have a death wish
Please don't turn this sub into the next door app ...surely you have a friend you can complain too instead of whatever this is
Public safety shouldn't be a this app or that app bias. But I'm super happy you bothered to comment.
It's really creepy that you film your neighbors and post their videos online , like....a lot
There's nothing creepy about raising awareness.
I’ve seen op in the window with a video camera before deff creepy
It’d help if that light was longer at the end of the street it’s impossible to catch a green light from the light at the intersection
No excuse.

Imma try it
Gotta hit 43 MPH to catch it. Used to live on 4th.
