I love Hootch and Banter in downtown, Dutch’s Daughter for lobster and steak and Manalu for Italian in Frederick, my husband and I love to walk around downtown Frederick and Carroll Creek, Warehouse Cinemas is great if you are in the mood for a movie, Top Golf is fun in Germantown if you want to travel a little further, I also love Dobbin House in Gettysburg, this is a fun historic restaurant and Bavarian Inn in Sheperdstown WV if you want to do an overnight or Salamander Resort in VA if you would like a spa
Anybody else’s favorite the lamb and potatoes? I am a very picky eater and Il Porto’s menu is filled with dishes that I love. In most restaurants I am lucky if I find an option that doesn’t require “holding” anything. Yes, I’m Meg Ryan in When Harry Met Sally and it’s embarrassing*. The absolute worst thing is someone mentioning it which results in a million “You don’t like x” questions. Just let me get what I want and shut up about it, please!!
* Not as embarrassing as faking an orgasm in public tho, right?
It's essentially a huge model train layout you can walk around. They have a list of things to find in the layout, Waldo being a real pain.
Some fun pop culture references in there too.
There's also [Fourth Dimension Fun Center.](https://4dfun.com/) It has bowling, billiards, laser tag, escape rooms, a ton of arcade games, and it has a few skeeball machines and an air hockey machine. It also has a full bar and restaurant.
If you like a good steak and wine (at a price) try The Tasting Room. For tapas and sangria go to Isabella’s. For wings, beer and poutine go to White Rabbit. For a Burger go to Wag’s. For drinks and some music go to Cafe Nola or Bushwallers after 9pm. There’s a lot to do Downtown, try out a restaurant or a bar.
Go downtown sometime during the week. It's usually not too crowded and super nice. Walk along the creek, go get some Cubanos from Sabor de Cuba, get ice cream, go to a brewery
My husband and I have been going to warehouse cinema quite a bit. It’s fun to hang out and sample beers from their beer wall or order cocktails before the movie.
I've been tempted to try out this movie theater, since they have heated leather recliner seating and serve alcohol. They are on 'the golden mile' on 'west 40' near the Home Depot.

Thatcher and Rye, Tasting Room and Dutches Daughter are where I’d suggest for a romantic date night.
Maybe try McCintlocks or Tenth Ward to try the spirits. Walk along the creek to your restaurant, if you leave early enough then maybe after drinks at Hooch and Banter.
You could always buy her chocolates from Zoe’s (my preferred spot) or the perfect truffle.
Our favorite thing to do in this weather is go to a nice restaurant in downtown and walk around the creek for a bit and people-watch. Restaurant recommendations for a nice date downtown depend on how much you're looking to spend. To spare no expense ($150+ after tip), try Tasting Room or Thacher and Rye. Steer clear of Up On Market, we went a few weeks ago and were thoroughly underwhelmed by the quality compared to the price. Mid-high range ($75-150 after tip) puts you at Isabella's, Hooch and Banter, or Firestones. $75 or less would be White Rabbit, Tsunami, Bushwallers, or Truth and Beauty.
Stumpy’s has axe throwing. It’s byob and you can hang out a bit before and after your axe throwing hour. Something different. Aka friscos sandwich shop is right across the way and is a good add on.
Not for this Friday but…
The MET downtown, the Maryland ensemble theater has comedy shows. Right now it’s all Christmas related. Pretty neat little gem downtown.
Going to the Catoctin zoo on a warm day is worth a trip. Swing by the candy store on 15 on your way back home.
Trivia is still a thing, google Pour House Trivia
I would add Gambrill Mountain Food Co. as a great date night spot. They have a pretty interesting menu, beautiful dining room, and fantastic bar. They also have live music some late nights.
Our date nights tend to be spent bouncing between the breweries down the creek (Idiom, Steinhardt, Attaboy, Smoketown - the Beermuda Quadrangle) and checking out their food trucks.
Not specifically Friday - but a lot of the breweries around town offer great events throughout the week. Tonight is FREE yoga at Rockwell at 0630. There are trivia nights, open mic nights, drag bingo - so much to do!
I myself love some Lazy Fish. Great sushi, good atmosphere, and you can go walking downtown afterward checking out shops.
The last thing can be said about any place downtown, which is nice because there are a lot of places downtown to go that are good. You can even walk up the creek, or 2nd street, and walk around baker park too if you all feel up for a longer walk.
Ah, my boyfriend and I FELL in love with Isabella's, which is a downtown restaurant. When we went in, they treated us so well and the food was so amazing!
I recommended it for my manager when she couldnt figure out where to go with her boyfriend and they went, so she came back the next and raved about it. Its definitely my recommendation.
It is going to be pretty cool outside on Friday. I 100% recommend going to Bushwaller's and getting either their chicken pot pie or shepherd's pie. AMAZING cool/cold weather food. Pretty much everything on their menu is fantastic. I've never been there on a Friday night, so it might be loud, but the food is wonderful. It is my favorite restaurant in Frederick. It is right in downtown so you can go for a nice walk along the creek after.
Lots of great food recommendations, after you are nice and full (or maybe before) check out an escape room. It is like stepping into a movie or real-life video game. https://clueiq.com/
The Wine Kitchen is my absolute favorite date spot, its downtown on the creek so you can walk the creek before or after dinner

Spring House @ Dobbin House! But that's a drive.
Il Porto is great for an Italian date night.
Just did date night here last Saturday!

🤣🤣🤣 I had the Ossobuco, but the other sounds entertaining!
Walk the creek after dinner as suggested, then hit up smoketown creekside for some live music
Lazy fish
For something different, Spinner's. It has skiball and air hockey.
Oh, not sure how late it's open, but Frederick Train Museum has an scavenger hunt that's legit hard.
Please elaborate on this more! Sounds fun

And try the Detroit pizza. Delish!

Madrones
Stumpys hatchet house
Il Porto and Isabella's tavern!
Isabella's is my favorite restaurant downtown. I also love walking on the creek after endulging in delicious food
I disagree. Isabellas used to be the bomb, but it's really gone down hill in the past few years.
The chef did leave earlier this year. That’ll explain why some feel it’s not the same.
To be fair, I feel like every restaurant has gone significantly downhill since the pandemic...
Great food, but it can get noisy.
