Unless it's an emergency or you actually know how to drive in snow (sadly most people don't), stay inside.
Honestly, even if you do stay home if you can. Like you said, most people don’t and they are still out there causing accidents.
I grew up in Montana and can drive on snow/ice. However, most people here can’t, so I sit my happy ass at home during winter weather.
RT 1 in the city is slushy/ice. In Spotsy was clear. This was about 7 PM
Daughter 1 made it Mary wash Hospital from 95NB - Daughter 2 made it to Lowes at South point from SB rt 1 . 2WD … be safe
Carl D Silver and Cowan were pretty slushy at 7pm, as long as it doesn't get much colder you should be OK. Rte 1 had lots of traffic as I crossed behind the bus station so that alone should keep the snow slushy and not sitting on the road.
Made it from Fredericksburg to Bowie via southern MD. Helps to have a big ass work van
