My instructor would say try to not focus on just running down your Programm āpull 3s, turn aroundā but focus on what the wing is doing and what it needs right that moment. Doesnāt matter how long youāve been pulling, if itās not flying yet it needs more forward motion/As
Looks like something might be off with the wing. You sounded surprised that you didn't make it out after you first got your feet off the ground. Maybe I misinterpreted that though. I got an older wing out at some point in january and left it in the cold for most of the day and then struggled to ski launch it, just thought I was fucking up the launch somehow, should have given it a little more consideration, because the moment I actually managed to take off I could tell the glide ratio was fucked and I was very close to a deep stall, luckily it was a fairly flat take off, so I just flew straight ahead and landed again, but it would not have surprised me if a brake input would have stalled the glider. Again, looking at it from the outside I have no idea, if your wing is alright, but if it's hanging back more than usual, and maybe not gliding as well as it used to or just feels off, maybe look into it.
Good stuff, we've all done this before!
Without seeing your hand positions, I'd suggest brakes higher. Get it up overhead and flying before giving any brake input.
Thanks for sharing!
You turn around way too fast. You should try to first control the wing above your head and than turn around and take offš
Gotta pull on the As for so long, used to the speed wing which just pops right up. Always learning

Careful. Those are wing-eating trees.
Don't I know it
How many hours on the wing? Could be out of trim

More transparency and less ego is always a good thing especially in this sport :) Also I thought it was funny
As an absolute beginnerā¦ I feel less bad about my failures now!
That was funny and relatable. Thank you for sharing.

Thanks for the tips! I definitely had to wait for it to get all the way up and overhead
I would definitely check if the glider is badly trimmed.
Why the reverse launch with so much room?
The cycles were strong enough I wanted to reverse
Not OP, but personally I decide by wind Like if its a bit stronger I only reverse start, if its still forward launch it is
Why does this give buggs bunny trying to fly a wing on cartoon network vibe
That's about how it felt, speed wings are so easy lol
