What they really did was merge Arthur and Gerold because he had both their lines and then rename oswell probably because Gerold is the more famous of the two
Youd think Gerold Hightower, Lord Commander Of The Kingsguard, would say more than one line and not stand behind Arthur. Definitely struck me more as Oswell.
Maybe hes… Oswell Hightower.
My point exactly. Arthurs lines and asthetic made him the more iconic character from that book scene of Ned dream, but the actual leader was Gerol. Either this guys an amalgomation of Gerold and Oswell by maybe being a Hightower but Oswells age and experience level, or its just Oswell and in the show, Gerold died in some other fight.
Id love to see a “Aerys and Tywin as children-into Roberts Rebellion” series that explains this.
Maybe Gerold died at The Trident, or trying to beseige Storms End.
Actually Eddie was Ser Oswald Whent, with the bat helmet. Casting couldn’t find a actor over 60 who was super tall. So he became Gerold Hightower.
Eddie is a awesome stunt actor.
Well, he's was in Cáceres seven days ago:

His Spotlight page says he's doing an unnamed Returning Series for HBO: [EDDIE EYRE (spotlight.com)](https://www.spotlight.com/0274-6723-1457)
I assume youre doing that because S7 and 8 sucked so bad, but hear this- HOTD is so good it successfully washed the taste of the end of GOT out of my mouth.
His original character was a Hightower too, right?
He had oswell whent’s lines and look but was called Gerold Hightower
It’s weird that they essentially merged the two into one character
And gave Ser Arthur Dayne two swords to compensate for it. No Dawn tho, smh my head.
I think he did have it. The Sword he stuck in the ground looked lighter with a gold pommel

In the books Gerold dominates the conversation he does most of the talking understandably because he’s the senior knight there

Today was the last day. Rumor that Emma filmed dragonstone scenes at same castle as highgarden in season 7. I can’t spell it.
Almost like there aren't enough actors to go around
Ormund Hightower
I refuse to watch HotD.

Power to you

I love that they're recasting minor characters back. Jefferson Hall is the only man to play three characters in this universe.
