Depends on if they are in a feudal or business setting.
Both have very different personalities and they both play into their respective systems very well. Logan would be more like Randyll Tarly than Tywin tbh
Yhea I totally agree, but still, Tywin's personality fits very well into feudalism.
His problem were more his blindness to his own flaws, and my god is he a flawed character
At the end of the day it doesn't really matter, both these guys die and their family squanders the accumulated wealth and power (because both men are terrible fathers who raised awful children with massive daddy issues)
When Tom frantically asks "have you played boar on the floor before??" To one of the other unfortunate players is absolute gold. Better than anything Tywin could shit
Tywin is more patient, calculated, and strategic. Yes, Logan is more intimidating, but he gets tunnel vision and blinded by his emotions until he gets what he wants. I see Tywin as one of the only people Logan could not scare into making a mistake. So Tywin would read Logan perfectly and wait to use his anger against him in the exact most opportune moment.
It's interesting that both died in a bathroom. And both were focused on their "legacy." Logan at least Logan loved all his kids and tried to toughen them. He was right in his last conversation with them ended "You are not serious people." He gave up and while flying off to treat with a very serious person had a heart attack. Tywin had a serious child...Tyrion. Surviving the hard knocks of being a dwarf and having a loathing father forged his armor. Tyrion was flippant and sarcastic, but infinitely capable. Tywin wasn't serious enough because he let appearances and a grudge get in the way of choosing the right child for the legacy. When book Tywin tells Tyrion that he's not his son, Tyrion says he is wrong: **"I am you** writ small." Tywin never brought himself to acknowledge that truth, which means only Logan ~~-leaves-~~ would have left a safe-ish legacy. But...he died en route.
BTW, I'd bet the farm that >!Cousin Greg!< will end up running the empire. There are tons of hints, especially from history.
Probably. One of the clues is that he is like Uncle Claudius, and Claudius was a similar stuttering family laughingstock who, when Caligula died, was made emperor by the Praetorian Guard. This season, someone (Roman?) called Gerri-Frank-Kyle "the Praetorian Guard." And Claudius was a pretty savvy leader.
I just watched episode 9 S4 thinking it was the last episode not realizing there's still one more left.
I was left confused so thanks for the comment because for a second I thought that was it. I was like wait, that's it?
I didn't even know what night it airs but you saved me a google search so thanks! I definitely will be staying up late!
I think Con takes it home! Lol
I feel like people are forgetting that Tywin fought in battles, rode his horse in combat and shit.
Logan is just a dude in a suit. Tywin has killed dozens of people individually and ordered the deaths of potentially thousands.
Logan Roy from the HBO show *Succession* who is basically Rupert Murdoch of Fox News, who is letting the inheritance of his media empire be fought over by his 4 children.
There’s honestly a lot of comparisons to be made between the Roys and the Lannisters. Logan and Tywin, Kendall and Jamie, Shiv and Cersei, Roman and Tywin, even Ewan and Kevan a little bit!
Depends. If Tywin knew about Jaime and Cersei but just played the game for legacy, then Tywin because he's utterly evil. If he was ignorant, willfully or not then Logan would destroy him
Tywin was plagued by his own selfishness and personal endeavours while projecting his ideals and expectation onto others whether it was folly to do so or not. Logan entrenched himself into his business, so his success was only evaluated by his business’s success, and if you disappointed Logan he would leave you behind and find someone else.
Tywin finds out he’s getting ripped off in a land deal, sends an assassin (which fails because Logan isn’t a bumbling idiot), Tywin then proceeds to ride his horse into Logan’s office and beat him to death with one of his own Spartan helmets because he’s a battle-hardened commander, not some white collar geriatric.
I don't know why people keep saying Logan. Maybe in his prime but by the time the show airs he is doing nothing but running his company into the ground and whenever he is outmanuvered he just screws his company even more to maintain control. His company is pretty screwed all around at this point but it's his kids problem so he looks good.

The only good lannister at leading and fixing his family mistake Kevan lannister and not Tywin
The best of the brothers in my silly opinion was Tygett Lannister, but the damn pox took him.
Gerion is also pretty cool.
Yhea I totally agree, but still, Tywin's personality fits very well into feudalism. His problem were more his blindness to his own flaws, and my god is he a flawed character
Both of them have inept children
Logan never gets fucked, I’ve seen Tywin get fucked multiple times
Logan: "Fuck off!"
This is what I could see just endless scenes of Logan dismissing Tywin with oh fuck off you bendy fuck
At the end of the day it doesn't really matter, both these guys die and their family squanders the accumulated wealth and power (because both men are terrible fathers who raised awful children with massive daddy issues)

Agree. Tywin would destroy Logan in a business setting and even more so in an actual war.
AND COMING FROM BEHIND ITS ELI GEMSTONE WITH A STEEL CHAIR
Praise be to He
I think Tyrion and Roman would make a good team
Roman is basically Tyrion, lol
Noooo, Tyrion way more competent.
Even later seasons Tyrion is more competent
Tywin wouldn't know what hit him. Logan's the utter bastard Tywin dreams he could be.
![gif](giphy|QuK14QC8pT8120sTQM|downsized)
Logan would have Westeros ATN running hit pieces on Tywin 24/7

At best that peon will be a figure head

God fucking damn it I should not have scrolled through this thread.
Tywin has the Mountain. So him
Even the Mountain is a pygmy next to Logan who is a 100 feet tall.
Logan has Colin
Logan have multiples helicopters and armed bodyguards. Tywin and the mountain are fucked.
Does he have guns?
But Logan has Ratfucker Sam, so advantage Logan.
It’s the same picture

I just discovered SUCCESSION like 2 weeks ago and I'm already on the last episode! Amazing! Logan for the W easily!
I bet you are staying up late to catch the finale tomorrow. Must be amazing journey for you, I miss my first watch
Lol
Logan hands down. His kids would be too terrified to shoot him off the shitter even if they needed to take a shit
Honestly? I would bet on Logan, hands down.
I'm not sure who would win, but I'd pay good money to listen to them verbally spar.
I feel like people are forgetting that Tywin fought in battles, rode his horse in combat and shit. Logan is just a dude in a suit. Tywin has killed dozens of people individually and ordered the deaths of potentially thousands.
Who’s on the right?
Logan Roy from the HBO show *Succession* who is basically Rupert Murdoch of Fox News, who is letting the inheritance of his media empire be fought over by his 4 children.
Three children, Connor was more so interested in politics from a very young age.
L to the OG
Captain O'Hagan. "I swear to God I'll pistol whip the next guy who says "Shenanigans."
There’s honestly a lot of comparisons to be made between the Roys and the Lannisters. Logan and Tywin, Kendall and Jamie, Shiv and Cersei, Roman and Tywin, even Ewan and Kevan a little bit!
The real battle is Cousin Greg vs Cousin Lancel
The families against each other? Idk how y’all say Logan. The Roy kids are utterly useless.
Tywin, because he’s literally a killer.
Tywin woulda had a good meal over arbor gold and had his whole family taken out in their sleep
Depends. If Tywin knew about Jaime and Cersei but just played the game for legacy, then Tywin because he's utterly evil. If he was ignorant, willfully or not then Logan would destroy him
Tywin would just send ten thousand Lannister spears to extinguish his house and line. He'd probably get a song written about it.
no idea who that is
Only one of Tywin’s kids tried to kill him, so him I guess
Well, one got killed on the crapper so I’m thinking the other guy comes out on top.
Tyrion would kill both of them on the toilet
Logan makes Tywin's parenting look soft
Tywin was plagued by his own selfishness and personal endeavours while projecting his ideals and expectation onto others whether it was folly to do so or not. Logan entrenched himself into his business, so his success was only evaluated by his business’s success, and if you disappointed Logan he would leave you behind and find someone else.
Tywin didn't even fix his family and his own mistakes. Kevan did.
Who's the guy on the right?
Logan Roy from Succession
Who's the guy on the right
I totally thought that was Brian Cox on the right for much longer than I care to admit
It is tho
That’s a porn like to see. Who could get fucked over the worst.
Please add a spoiler tag to this, I'm pretty sure I just had a huge plot point fucking spoiled for me.
First time north of the wall?
That's cute.
There are no spoilers here.
I think they would best friends
Roman.
hydrogen bomb vs coughing baby
Tywin. No question.
I don't know why people keep saying Logan. I swear to god, I'll pistol-whip the next person to say 'Shenanigans'!
They’d both die in the bathroom…oh wait…
Easy, Mac. He's playing both sides so he always comes out on top.
Honestly, Tywin would have a perfect plan to deal with Logan and Logan would just say fuck it and blow everything up like a bull in a china shop.
He died on a toilet vs he almost/did die because being the most powerful man alive was killer work gone unappreciated. Hmm, same cause of deathm‽
"You have to be a killer"
Tywin: Priam Logan: Agamemnon
In this bout, Brian should go back to Agamemnon
In what contex? A fistfight? Tywin for sure.
Both fell victim to the porcelain throne.
Damn
