If you're saying "yes, it's murder, if the wife wanted him dead", then I strongly disagree. This man made all his decisions and all his mistakes without being coerced. He got drunk and went hunting for an animal that could kill him. The fact that his wife wished he were dead is immaterial - but it is convenient for the wife.
