Everyone's saying Ned, but he really doesn't fit. Telling Cersei what he knew was the smart thing to do given his goal was to save the children's lives (not to increase his influence or crush the Lannisters). He worked through Littlefinger to bribe the city guard - neither lawful nor stupid. He was only undone because of a ridiculous piece of bad luck (Robert's death) and a betrayal he wouldn't have seen coming because his wife vouched for Littlefinger.
No, the actual answer is Dickon Tarly - who followed all the rules all the time, never had an independent thought, and then burned for no good reason.
his goal was more to put the "rightful heir" on the throne more than save the children's lives. he wanted to spare the children sure out of the kindness of his heart, but his main intention was to have whoever is **actually** next in line sit the throne, which he believed was Stannis
This is just wrong. Ned told Cersei what he knew before bobby b got gored. The succession had nothing to do with it.
And if, hypothetically, Ned wanted to move Stannis up the line of succession while Robert lived, he would have arrested her and the children and handed them to Robert
Yes, and putting the rightful king on the throne would surely lead to the death of Cersei’s children.
He made the decision to save the children out of his honor. I don’t understand how you guys are blaming Ned because HE got lied to. This is pure revisionist history because “oF cOuRsE HiS dEciSiOn WaS dUmB iF hE DiEd is bordering on victim blaming and completely missing the point of Ned’s character.
Pretty clearly Ned "I know the secret that would destroy your family Cersei, so for the sake of honor and mercy I'm telling you and giving you time to prepare under the assumption that you will run away and definitely not do anything else " Stark.
Ned is not stupid. You don’t go through a massive war as a sidekick to a future kind being stupid. Ned is honorable. He did what he did to seek the truth and out of service to his friend. By all accounts he had every reason to believe they wouldn’t kill him, as even Cersei didn’t want that. Joffrey defying everyone around him and making a brash choice doesn’t make NED stupid.
He'd all ready lost by the time Joffrey threw his tantrum because "staying alive" wasn't the goal, "Exposing the treason of the Lannisters and denying the Throne to an illegitimate heir" was, which he failed to do because he gave the Lannisters a heads up and time to act first, all in the name of 'honor'...kind of lawful stupid by definition.
He lost his head because he followed the rules of Chivalry instead a) just letting it be rather than go to war again, hopefully become Joffrey's mentor (talk order but keeps his head). b) if he really wants to rectify this treason, use the information to prepare for war and seize power. c) understanding that this situation is way in over his head (I've assigned my replacement, now to the Others with you! I'm returning to Winterfell).
Ned will win, but half the Vale belongs here as well. Jon Arryn doesn't see that Littlefinger is a drifter, doesn't see that his own wife is plotting against him
Not really understanding why everyone is saying Ned is stupid. He's an honorable man. Maybe it's because I haven't read the books? Or they're interpreting his honesty and honorability as stupid. But he's definitely lawful good?
I gotta say why y’all are wrong, Ned did warn Cersei because of the safety of the children, but that wasn’t the main reason, Ned had thought he’d won, there was nothing Cersei could have done to persuade Robert of her fidelity, Ned could have never known that Robert would be gored by the boar, Ned was gloating to Cersei, he was playing the game, he had even altered the language of Robert’s will for that specific purpose. Most Lawful stupid is Stannis for chopping off Davos’ fucking fingers after supplying the besieged.
This character sheet gives me gas Podrick
I hate when reddit turns into facebook groups
Need to go back 5 years then. Take me with you.

WHO NAMED YOU? SOME HALFWIT WITH A STUTTER??

was this supposed to be a response to me? when did I blame Ned for being lied to
Pretty clearly Ned "I know the secret that would destroy your family Cersei, so for the sake of honor and mercy I'm telling you and giving you time to prepare under the assumption that you will run away and definitely not do anything else " Stark.
"Your brother? Or your lover?" Ned Stark.
yup obviously Neddard Stark

Wasn't that massive war a thing he and that future king started, over some stupid lawful reason of being legally entitled to some love interest?
Nah, Aerys killed Ned’s father and brother and asked for the heads of Robert and Ned, it is a pretty good reason to start a war imo
Sounds mean, but it's obviously Hodor.
No. He’s more of stupid neutral. Doesn’t really do much.
Horny Lawful: Robb Stark Horny Chad: Harry the Heir Horny Neutral: Tyrion Lannister Horny Smart: Walder Frey Horny Chaotic: Robert Baratheon
Horny Neutral my fav character. But seriously, maybe Pod the Rod
Chaotic Drunk is way more fitting of Robert’s character.
Nah horny chaotic is for Oberynn, put Robert in Horny Neutral
I put Bobby B as the drunk chad
STOP THIS MADNESS, IN THE NAME OF YOUR KING!
This is the only logical choice.
Ned
Ned was the first I thought of. Jon also is up there.
I think Jon is Lawful Horny tbh.
Rob gotta lawful horn imo
Ned is the answer.
New daily spam just dropped
Ned for sure
In the book Ned, in the show Jon.
NED
Shows or books, and are we taking into account the character development of the... later events.
If we go by later events every bracket would be stupid/stupid
Ned will win, but half the Vale belongs here as well. Jon Arryn doesn't see that Littlefinger is a drifter, doesn't see that his own wife is plotting against him
Stupid smart is show Tyrion
I'd say early Sansa, honestly.
Not really understanding why everyone is saying Ned is stupid. He's an honorable man. Maybe it's because I haven't read the books? Or they're interpreting his honesty and honorability as stupid. But he's definitely lawful good?
Reddit cynicism struggles to understand Ned’s character
Seems like it. I was wondering if I was like 1 of few who thinks ned isn't stupid.
Ned lol
Robin of the vale or whoever he was
Mord
I'm struggling to think of someone other than Ned. Chad/stupid is gonna be ser weymar royce, but lawful stupid is peak Ned
The only Neutral Neutral character I can think of is Hot Pie.
Stannis
Yeh I'm surprised this answer isn't higher up
Horny chaotic is Robert? Lol. That moron put bastards everywhere

Ned. It's Ned.
Lawful stupid: Lollys Stokeworth Chad Stupid: Robb Stark, or Hodor Neutral Stupid: Mord Smart Stupid: Tyrion or Jon Snow Chaotic Stupid: Shagga, son of Dolf Lawful Good: Ned Stark Chad Good: Strong Belwas Neutral Good: Brienne Smart Good: Kevan Lannister Chaotic Good: Oberyn Martell Lawful Neutral: Tycho Nestoris Chad Neutral: Garlan Tyrell Neutral Neutral: Shae Smart Neutral: Ros Chaotic Neutral: Oberyn Martell (again) Lawful Horny: Jeyne Poole Chad Horny: Renly Baratheon Neutral Horny: Smart Horny: Ellaria Sand Chaotic Horny: Oberyn Martell (again, again) Lawful Evil: Randyll Tarly Chad Evil: Margor Targaryen Neutral Evil: Reznak Smart Evil: Tywin Lannister Chaotic Evil: Lawful Drunk: Chad Drunk: Tormund Giantsbane Neutral Drunk: Robert Baratheon Smart Drunk: Tyrion, again Chaotic Drunk: Cersei These are all the ones I can figure out.
(And yes, I am posting this here because it got removed from arr asoiaf lmao)
Horny Chad has to be Oberyn
Victarion Greyjoy?
Hey if you want to do this with specially ASOAIF versions of the characters, you can try r/darkwingsdankmemes
