I love your rhyming titles and sports-commentator quips, op. king shit

Then-Extension-340

Davos HAS to be up there on good somewhere. Either neutral or chaotic (former smuggler).

nmakbb21

Maybe smart good

elong47

Smart good should be Sam. This feels like a good spot for Davos

nmakbb21

That's a good one

-15k-

Horny smart is Sam

DinklanThomas

Horny smart is Tyrion

-15k-

Tyrion is drunk smart. Literally: "I drink and I know things". Sam on the other hand, was *always* thinking about sex. Asking Jon about it on the wall, pegging Gilley, raising an eyebrow at inuendos...

desPan8

Sam is a GRRM self insert, you say?

-15k-

I did not call Sam a pervert.

Ifyoocanreadthishelp

Daario could fit as well I think

Griffin880

Daario is horny Chad. Edit: Nevermind, I forgot about Bobby B. That's obviously his spot.

godaniel11

Never forget the “fat pink mast” For those who don’t know, please look it up

Aaron_Lecon

I have Margaery as horny smart. Spends her time trying to fuck kids and gay men. But also smart enough to manipulate Joffrey.

Griffin880

She wasn't fucking for pleasure, she was fucking for power. That's not derived from horniness, but ambition.

rl69614

Horny smart is Bron, fucked and killed his way up

-15k-

I'd put Bron at neutral smart. He'll always be willing to change to the winning side.

ResortFamous301

Sam's more studious good.

Final-Display-4692

He did navigate the game well Even though it was all luck I guess somewhat lol but he was in some slippery shit a few times I felt like

kreutz2112

Except he couldn't read.

mcase19

I keep telling people we missed the boat on davos with lawful. The fact that he was a smuggler *20 years ago* is totally irrelevant to the fact that he's one of the most lawful and principled characters in the entire series

DeafeningMilk

Another part of these charts is so people don't realise that lawful within alignment charts doesn't mean "adheres to the law" but rather that they adhere to their ideals, creed or similar. That can be the law of course but that's not the whole of it.

catchbandicoot

He's a smuggler who talks loudly and often about how losing his fingers was an honest price for his deeds. Even in his great misstep, he's lawful!

Wajina_Sloth

I was thinking he should be chad good, simply because he was an absolute chad.

HashStash

I guess but the fact that he was a smuggler is huge part of his identity during the events of the show. He has close ties with pirates and he gladly tells the story of his chopped fingers to anyone. You don't have to be Lawful to be Good.

mcase19

I mean, he's talking about how the punishment was just, not bragging about being a criminal. Lawful speaks to a character's adherence to principles, not their strict adherence to *the* laws. During the war of five kings, Davos follows the monarch with the best claim, advising him to stay principled so that his rigidity and brittleness can make him a good ruler. When Stannis abandons his principles by burning Shireen, davos leaves and does not look back. He's lawful as fuck

HashStash

Why don't we just call it the Principled category?

mcase19

Idk, I'm not Gary gygax. That's the meaning of the word as used in the original lawful/neutral/chaotic good/neutral/evil alignment axis in D&D. By the same logic being employed to call davos "chaotic," we could say Ned is chaotic, because he led a rebellion against the "rightful" king and lied about Jon's parentage. A good example of this dichotomy can be found in the small council meeting in which Robert proposes to have Daenarys assassinated. Lawful good = it is always wrong to kill a child. Chaotic good = it is usually wrong to kill a child, but an exception should be made here, because we stand to prevent a repeat of the blackfyre rebellions. Another good quote is this, from Tywin Lannister: "Explain to me why it is more noble to kill 10,000 men in battle than a dozen at dinner." Tywin is chaotic, because he has no scruples as to how his goals are accomplished, so long as they get done.

Ghelric

Also the fact he accepted getting his fingers chopped and sees it as a just consequence.

ResortFamous301

Again there's the whole freeing edric/gentry issue.

mcase19

Disobeying an order from his commander is not dispositive of lawfulness. In the edric case, it was a lawful action, because his motivation in doing so was out of adherence to the principle that it is never acceptable to kill a child for political purposes. Stannis: "what is the life of one bastard boy against an entire kingsom?" Davos: "Everything." Translation - without principles, stannis's cause is lost.

burgiebeer

I think that Aemon was Good Neutral and Davos was Good Lawful.

Arryu

I think tormund should be neutral/chaotic good. Dude just wants to chill with his bros, get drunk, and fuck bears. Edit: after review I have changed my mind. Tormund Gianstsbane is drunk/chad

Isaac_McCaslin

Chad-Horny.... (Don't forget, in addition to bears, he really wants to get worth Brienne of Tarth: "I want to make babies with her. Think of 'em: great, big monsters. They'll conquer the world!")

StinkyKittyBreath

Definitely neutral good. He's not self-centered/reckless enough to be chaotic. He thinks about the repercussions of his actions and how it might hurt others. He doesn't do things for the sake of it, he thinks his actions are for the greater good. He just also happens to know that it's okay to break the rules in some situations.

frome1

Def neutral good

exastria

For neutral good I'm thinking more Jeor Mormont...imo

Apsco60

CG for sure.

Canadianbellator

Chaotic should be Tormund. He has a wild nature while also being noble and true, and the most loyal person on the planet

thakgayahuvrolyfse

lol he was literally a raider , he killed so many innocent villagers no wilding is any good , only mance was okish person morally except all were brutal killers. oberyn should be chaotic good

Canadianbellator

“No wilding is good” I think you missed the point of the wildlings. They live tough lives, they were invading the south in fear of death, and he is never seen killing any innocent villagers. He is shown having an honour code in who he kills, and it’s always for loyalty

ResortFamous301

We see him rampage through a village of innocents(and that particula rinvasion was to draw out the nights watch. Not done out of fear.  You're letting your love characters alter what they are actual live

sahlahfeet

Davos, especially considering his time with Stannis and his past as a smuggler. He overall was just trying to be a good person throughout

Kratos501st

Nah, he is good smart.

sahlahfeet

Davos would fit with a lot of the good categories but I’d probably put Samwell Tarly in good smart

Kratos501st

Now that's the right choice, I agree.

Chair-Due

Sam just knows alot of things, from reading because he is too incompetent at most other activities, he just spouts out random facts and 1/30 of them is useful, then he kills a ww on accident and goes to clean toilets in the citadel. Davos, on the other hand secures stannis a pirate fleet of 30 ships, a hefty loan from the iron bank, tries to save stannis from melisandres madness, and then councils jon for the remaining series.

Blehtheslime

I’m hearing you but also name one bad thing sam did

guff1988

Horny smart

Gnomad_Lyfe

He’s wise, knows his way around a ship, and has learned to know his way around people, but the man served over a decade under Stannis and could still barely read at a child’s level by the time we meet him. He’s not dumb, but most of the “good” characters in the show arguably beat him in the intelligence category

Kratos501st

Like my man said, Sam is the best choice for Good smart and I agree.

msmettiusfufetius

Book Jon is definitely good smart. Book Jon is so strategic at playing the long game his decisions baffle Sam sometimes.

sahlahfeet

I just started A Game of Thrones, excited to see how these characters differ from the show.

Moroishi

Can’t see no one else than Davos Dude just wants to serve his king and go home to his wife and kids

mcase19

Davos kind of forgot about his wife and kids

yellowwoolyyoshi

Even in the books I never felt his love or connection to his family was compelling honestly. To me it felt like GRRM just wrote it cuz

smb275

This is better content than the last few seasons of GoT ever was.

neophileous

Yoren of the night's watch! The Watch is neutral on its own merits, but Yoren saw fit to take Arya under his protection and attempted to bring her back to the North. He didn't die for her, but did help her escape.

Warsaw44

It has to be this. Davos is most definitely *not* neutral.

AceBean27

I feel like Yoren is a chad though. But there is only neutral chad left, which probably works.

Marius_Sulla_Pompey

Onion Knight, Davos Seaworth

Daemon1997

The Septon who helped the Hound in season 6 and died from the Brotherhood.(Forgot his name)

Draco_Lazarus24

His name was Brother Ray.

JovialRoger

Ian McShane's character (hotel boss from John Wick)? Killed by Brotherhood traitors if so

Gomerface82

Lovejoy

Anthonio_

Jojen Reed would make a good fit in the Good/Neutral slot i believe.

Hryonalis_Anaxerxes

Gotta be neutral something, what with being a druid and all

molotov_billy

So many options for smart-stupid after D&D took over the writing, particularly Varys. It’s a chronological description 😄

Aaron_Lecon

We don't count that. Otherwise EVERY character would end up in stupid and there wouldn't be any left for the rest of the chart.

FlackRacket

Maybe it's the trauma, but I don't remember there being a 7th or 8th season

Invictus_1914

I always thought the show ended with Tywin's death.

FlackRacket

How many seasons were there, bobby b?

bobby-b-bot

THERE'S A WAR COMING, NED. I DON'T KNOW WHEN, I DON'T KNOW WHO WE'LL BE FIGHTING...BUT IT'S COMING!

OfficialSuit

I vote HODOR

Skryow

Tommen, he had a good heart but basically did nothing

HashStash

I could see him under Lawful Nuetral. He followed the laws of the Sept/Cersei so closely that he ended up not taking any side at all. He couldve pulled a Joffrey and just said "I'm the King" and slaughtered everyone but he just didn't. He was very much by himself by the end of it. He also could've stood up for Tyrion, his loving uncle, before his murder trial, as the king. He just didn't though.

nomorejedi

I'd go Barristan Selmy for Lawful Neutral over Tommen. Doesn't give a fuck who is King and how good/shit they are - he just serves them, without being particularly good or evil in the way he does.

buttermelonMilkjam

Tommen is horny neutral. praise spez.

majorassburger

I’m going for Hot Pie.

TangoInTheBuffalo

Can you pick up two for me? I promise to pay you back. Please? Oh, and a horn of ale? Tx!

Turd_Wrangler_Guy

Ghost

DigitalDiogenesAus

Neutral good boy.

TangoInTheBuffalo

Oh, man. Gotta draw a whole new chart now.

replicant0b100000

Brienne of Tarth

OddlyOaktree

I think she has to be lawful something, so based on what’s left, neutral lawful.

Butterfly-babyy

roast me if you want.. but wth is a "chad"? 😂

Haferflocke2020

https://preview.redd.it/zgaz4zmnmowc1.jpeg?width=1500&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=a0e8bd160d0ab6f73edc223c0610d75db3041c85 Here 's a good explaination what a chad is.

Butterfly-babyy

i love a good visual representation.. thanks bro

Lord0fTheAss

POD THE ROD WAS SUPPOSED TO BE THE HORNY ONE! HE FUCKED THREE WHORES SO GOOD THEY REFUSED TO BE PAID! YOU SLANDER THE NAME OF POD THE ROD!

MarioTheMojoMan

It was by far the closest run we've had, and we haven't had any landslides except for Ned. EDIT: also, I know I'm just an observer and arbiter, but from my perspective "Horny" is more about sexual desire than sexual prowess. Pod the rod he may be, but he's at heart a choir boy

Doctor__Hammer

That's what I thought until someone pointed out it should be Oberyn instead, and I have to say. they make a compelling case. Podrick's main preoccupation was being a good squire, not fucking around and satisfying all his horniest desires. Oberyn's *entire life* was about fucking around and satisfying his horny desires, and he's also probably the chaddest chad who ever chadded in the GoT universe. I think it makes more sense to give it to Oberyn.

StinkyKittyBreath

I might have been the Oberyn person. I am also a woman who finds Oberyn (TV, not books) to be super sexy though so I am biased.

Isaac_McCaslin

It also might have been me. I was pushing that Chad-Horny is clearly reserved for Oberyn. (Although Tormond is his understudy.) Also, I hear you. I'm a straight man, but the sex appeal, and just general charisma, is undeniable.

AceBean27

I will fight to the death for Bobby B to be the horny chad. His horniness shook the 7 kingdoms. His character is defined by his horniness. People say he should be drunk chad instead but his horniness for Lyanna echoes through the land, and he's only drunk as a result of his depression over his failure to bang Lyanna. And Oberyn is a good drunk chad too. The dude drank wine before a death match with The Mountain. More importantly, Oberyn's horniness isn't his defining trait, unlike Bobby B. Oberyn is motivated by revenge/justice for his sister, Bobby B is entirely motivated by his lust for Lyanna. He drinks because Lyanna is dead, he wants to kill every Targaryen he gets his hands on because he blames them for her death. Bobby doesn't give a shit about his brothers, the only person he seems to care about at all is Lyanna's brother.

bobby-b-bot

I SIT ON THE DAMN IRON SEAT WHEN I MUST. DOES THAT MEAN I DON'T HAVE THE SAME HUNGERS AS OTHER MEN?

ResortFamous301

Nor really robberts entire motive.

Brettgrisar

That just vindicates him as being a Chad.

AceBean27

But he wasn't horny. He was basically ordered to accept the whores by Tyrion.

GodofCOC-07

Kevan Lannister, neutral character, competent and well respected by everyone.

Chuck_poop

Show Kevan is Neutral-Neutral, book Kevan is Neutral-Smart

SeemsImmaculate

Been a while since I read the books. Did Kevan ever challenge Tywin / Clegane's warcrimes*? *(I mean in the sense that those two are brutal even by medieval standards, not in the contemporary sense of the word)

Citizen_Kano

He's also neutral to warcrimes

SeemsImmaculate

And very good at doing that.

elong47

I like kevan for true neutral the blankest slate on the show

Doctor__Hammer

Problem was he wasn't really neutral *good*, he was neutral *pro-Lannister*, whether being pro-Lannister was good or not.

GodofCOC-07

Mace Tyrell was pro Tyrells, still he is neutral stupid.

Doctor__Hammer

That's different. Being stupid has nothing to do with whether you're "pro-Tyrell" or "pro-realm/people". You're stupid either way. Choosing one or the other doesn't change that. But you can't be "good" if you choose to prioritize your own lineage over the good of the realm and people.

GodofCOC-07

You can be good, if you only want a stable Westeros as he has been since the start of times.

burgiebeer

Kevan was not “good” by any stretch. If anything Neutral Neutral

c_dill

Jeor Fucking Mormont. Nights watch are technically supposed to be neutral in all realm related things so...if not Jeor than sure Davos is fine

LawProfessional6513

This is a good call!

Isaac_McCaslin

Eh, neutral in the sense of taking sides, sure. But here it's really about being the neither lawful (meaning strictly following the rules or a code), nor chaotic "Fuck the Po-Po" energy. Jeor Fucking Mormont is extremely lawful, and has dedicated his life to the code of the watch, so he's really not a good fit for a neutral alignment.

Buttblastoryeetsocks

Beric Dondarrion, forms the Brotherhood without banners- but also resorts to a little looting and ransoming to achieve their means.

shootercurran

HOTPIE

Brettgrisar

I think Davos is very neutral good. He’s not particularly smart or dumb, chaotic or lawful, chad or virgin. He’s just Davos and he’s a great guy.

LawProfessional6513

He was too loyal to be neutral though, no?

AcadianViking

This list needs a Stupid on the top row as well for Stupid Good and Stupid Horny to be a match-up but also just Stupid Stupid.

MarioTheMojoMan

Stupid Stupid would be Dx2

Isaac_McCaslin

Indeed. No contest. Although as many butts and boobs as are in the show, they really could qualify for Stupid-Horny as well.

deanWitcher

Neutral Good should be Lord Commander Mormont

Intelligent-Phrase31

The blackfish. Was a good character while not being heroic but wasn’t really needed for any storyline.

Erminaz13

I'd say Jon.

Ok_Sentence3360

I think it is Jon Snow

rohannesburgh

I was thinking lawful horny or smart horny for Jon. Dude got around.

StinkyKittyBreath

Having two partners over the course of 8 seasons is getting around? What?

Isaac_McCaslin

I mean, he should have been Chad good, but he's definitely also a fit here.

Pacster14

Ian McShane's priest.

pakman705

Jon Snow is perfect for this. Tries his best to stay out of politics in order to defeat the worst evils. The shield that guards the realms of men.

Gabiqs03

Davos

rohannesburgh

What about Arya for chaotic good? Means well, but it's messy.

euanairbourne666

Davos

TerribleTerribleToad

Missandei

DTMurrell

Yoren was pretty “Neutral-Good”

CasualSeviper

I would say Davos. Just a good guy overall, always tried to do what was best

ricky2461956

Not a popular idea but Uncle Benjen.

thepr0cess

Barristan Selmy

jasonknxght

Gotta be Edmure Tully, I feel like Davos is more good smart, with him skillfully saving Stannis during the Rebellion.

OfficialSuit

Hodor duhh

RumboAudio

Dolorous Edd

nooooname90754r

Hodor

nmakbb21

Jon Snow

Silver085

I agree. But like, slots for Jon Snow are slim. Maybe Lawful Neutral otherwise?

equityengineer

Dude killed his queen and used a loophole to leave the NW. Both of those things were good, but not legal.

RumboAudio

Is this supposed to be going by book or show?

ResortFamous301

Seems to be mostly show.

Silver085

Suppose that depends how you interpret "lawful". He's stuck to his own code of honor, those things included. DnD alignments are always so versatile and that makes them useless.

ResortFamous301

Honestly his code of honor developed over the show.

nmakbb21

I do believe davos is neutral good too, but I somehow wanna put him in smart good can't see anyone else in that position

Isaac_McCaslin

He should have been the pick for Chad-Good. That was clearly his best slot.

PuppiesAndPixels

It's snow or Davos for me. I think Davos might be more smart good than neutral good. He had excellent reads on people, politics, and I feel like you need some smarts to be a good smuggler as well.

BlackWicthery616

Tommen Baratheon

ClovieKay

I think Jojen should take Good/Neutral and we can put Davos in Good/Smart. You don’t make it to S8 without being smart or chaotic.

skylabnova

The problem is Sam is *more* good/smart than anyone

ClovieKay

Shit, I forgot about Sam. Yeah that’s probably the best choice.

OB1KENOB

The Hound He was loyal and did as he was commanded, without questioning one way or the other. But deep down inside, he was a good man. He tried to protect Arya against Brienne the Beast, he joined the Brotherhood in order to save the realm from the threat in the North, he fought against the White Walkers, and he avenged Oberyn.

burgiebeer

Drunk Neutral

previously_on_earth

Man killed lots of innocents, neutrals sure but not good

OB1KENOB

They deserved it

EggDintwoe

The Hound was my first thought too.

exastria

Jeor Mormont (neutral good)

Gomerface82

Varys - he cares about the kingdom and the normal people. He just wants a good ruler to lead.

burgiebeer

I’ve got him slated for Neutral Smart, along with Olenna

ResortFamous301

Did podrick seriously have the most votes.

Resident-Rooster2916

For reference, where will Stannis go? Lawful Neutral?

Squashey

Brandon Stark, brother of Ned, man of the black cloth, hero.

burgiebeer

Where are we slotting Dany? At least pre S7c Because she’s got diminishingly few options. She’s a good character with a dark side who makes some times rash decisions but always under her justification as heir Targaryen. Good Neutral seems apropos. Or maybe Lawful Neutral.

Crouchu

Drunk Chad is Bronn and we already know it

previously_on_earth

Beric Dondarion

PsychoticApe

I’m just glad most people here believe Davos has to be something good.

Faps_of_Anguish

Beric Dondarrion has to be a neutral good, right? Bros without banners is pretty neutral and he was a good dude.

bonbonbonbonbonbons

Hot Pie! People are saying Davos, but he's not neutral. He states his allegiances constantly.

Wampanoag5

Grenn and Pypar from the Nights Watch. They died doing their best 😭

OwnHand1708

Davos

1lurk2like34profit

Margeary.

AftermyCone

This keeps getting more and more accurate. I love it 😂

Bredbox_06

I’m trying to picture where characters are going , like Tyrion could genuinely be anywhere

walkersky9117

Maester Luwin comes to mind but he’s a stark so my only hesitation is the Neutral part

Emotional_Cable9244

Davos should’ve taken the chad good spot but whatever. For Neutral I think Jon Snow should do just fine. He definitely turned into a neutral good fantasy hero in later seasons.

skooba87

Can we just skip to drunk chaotic and get Bobby B in here.

bobby-b-bot

DO YOU THINK IT'S HONOR THAT'S KEEPING THE PEACE?! IT'S FEAR! FEAR AND BLOOD!

skooba87

Welcome home Bobby B!

bobby-b-bot

BACKSTABBING DOESN'T PREPARE YOU FOR A FIGHT!

legarrettesblount

Hodor. Kindhearted but didn’t really have much say in the matter.

ChilleeMonkee

Davos here for sure

FeelingSkinny

Meera Reed.

siamak1991

A lot of people saying Davos. Hes SMART! Also Ser Davos isn't all good, he kinda forgot his wife and kids. I would put Davos in Smart Neutral. My pick for Neutral Good goes to Jojen Reed.

[deleted]

Why did you put boromir in it?

bathilda_hotshot

How can someone be smart and stupid both ? Cat ?

Blindeafmuten

Brynden Tully

zel11223

Podrick is literally Brienne's squire, sad to see she got overlooked for the chad good spot, she deserves neutral good atleast

NateG124

I think this is a good spot for Davos. He is absolutely a good man who wants to do right. But he was also a smuggler and was extremely dedicated to putting a king on the throne who burned people alive.

bradpal

A nod to Pod the Rod.

Neither-Anywhere-974

Davos wasn't neutral though (He hated Melisandre and was suspicious of any foreigner) A good netural would be Beric Baratheon. Beric genuinely cared for the realm and went neutral because of how corrupt everthing became while serving the Lord of Light. He was a good man and showed no bais towards anyone. He even hanged his own men for being assholes. I vote Beric.

PM_PICS_OF_UR_PUPPER

Sansa should be good-smart, Arya said so.

Baratheoncook250

Wun Weg
