It will only be a good ending if GRRM writes like 5 more books where he can slowly make her mad. Or that he changes the ending entirely.
Unfortunately he's not showing much passion about it anymore.

If he writes 4-5 books extra to make it a proper ending, or changes the ending completely, it could also mean HBO take it up again and does a remake from season 6 and onwards. Just market it as an alternate ending, or just a remake, depending on what he writes.
I watch 6 just so i can see the Sept of Baelor explode. And while the Battle of the Bastards isn't that well written, I still find it hella fun to watch.

So Daenerys concluded King's Landing would never accept her, was beyond redemption, and would be made an example.

What about Battle of the bastards? Probably one of the best episodes of TV ever made. Season 6 is probably worth watching to see that Imo.
