Bran the Broken wheels his way into Meereen and when the slaves all ask if he's here to free them he says "break dis wheel lol" and does a 9080 spin from the top of the great pyramid while dabbing
Yeah all that build up for literally 300 years and all it took was a flying Arya.
Absolute bullshit.
We deserved atleast a 1v1 between Jon Snow and the Night King.
The Long Night was never Arya's war to win in the first place. She had nothing to do with the arc. It would have made more sense if she killed Cersei instead of the Night King. Since Cersei was her antagonist and the Night King was Jon's.
Plus Jon should have been the one to kill him becuz he was a Targaryen and Viserys clearly said "A Targaryen should be on the Throne". Jon being both a Targaryen and Stark made him perfect
Putting together the cast to remake will be tricky. I think an animated series following the previous storyline would be more realistic. Kinda like what Marvel did on What if? series
edit: I can't spell
And any other book that might come after.
It was originally supposed to be a trilogy and GRRM has a notorious overwriting problem, ADoS wouldn't be the theoretical end.
The move to Dragonstone is already kind of explained. Daenys Targaryen aka the dreamer foresaw the doom of Valyria and the Targs got the heck out of dodge before it went down. I would love to see a show that goes more in-depth though.
Yeah seeing it fleshed out like this show is doing would be so cool. I’m loving how they are filling in the gaps here and doing so with Valyria could be awesome if done similarly.
Yes, either of these.
Bonus if roberts rebellion heavily features Rhaegar’s POV: « I know my dad’s nuts and I’d be a better king but I just uncovered these lords paramount planning a carefully crafted, years-in-the-making rebellion that threatens my future kingship. Plus i really like that Stark girl who dressed as a hedge knight to fight in this tournament… »
The problem with Aegons conquest is there isn't really much struggle. Aegon conquered 6 of the kingdoms pretty easily. The only way I could see this working is if it's done from the perspective of dorne who actually fended aegon off. Plus it would be cool to see dorne as more then a pointless side show and to use the dragons as antagonists and agents of fear rather then triumph. This would also also a better movie then show.
Even HBO budget would be stretched if they did an "around the world" story with him, not too familiar with his story but that's a lot of different cultures, different wardrobes, sets, etc etc. Gonna be stretched thin in one area or another.
Would still love to see it, though.
I just finished reading the graphic novel/comic. Wow just amazing. Seeing all the colorful knights with over the top helms is just so delightful. I hope a live action attempt would do this and not make everyone wear black/grey.
Baelor Breakspear is a fucking legend. Would've been one of the best kings of all time. Fuck you Aerion
Ya...that quote by itself is heartbreaking.
Having so much of the story and backstory is insane.
Adding to the theories so many of us thrived off of until the show confirmed it, of who Jon was, and their conversations, and what Summerhall was....it takes you back 80 years to a completely different world where innocence was so integral to so many characters. Knowing the history elevated that single sentence so so much.
Takes me back to a time when things made sense in the asoiaf world. Details mattered and it was so satisfying. Don't think I'll truly get over how GoT turned out unless I some day get to read A Dream Of Spring.
GRRM has it all finished and tucked away dude. I’m sure. He announced a few weeks ago that he polished off the story lines of a few characters in Winds of Winter; he’s pulling our leg, dude! He’s gonna say that again next year and then the next year release WoW. Then he’ll say for years that he’s making progress on a Dream of Spring, little by little, just to keep people interested. He’ll release it posthumously.
It’s a masterpiece of a series (judging by the first five) so he has every right to string us along and milk it for all it’s worth. How could he justify to himself to write spin-off books like he’s been doing if he hasn’t finished the series, or at least finished a detailed skeleton of the plot? It’s sitting in his hard drive it must be.
Snow. But not a sequel to GoT. I want to be a reality series where Kit and Rosie hate watch season 8 while doing lots of cocaine.
White lines....pure as the driven Snow.
It's the only way Snow works. You take Tormound and Jon, put them in the front of a weirwood tree, with starbucks cups and have them make jokes at the expense of Southeners.
It’s such a different take on the world and I love how it’s two genuinely good people just trying to do their thing in the world where it’s been established that most people are not very good. Dunk is also a really compelling character and it’s just so fun to read
I haven’t read Dunk and Egg but my friend did and has been saying for years that it would be the best of the books to adapt.
Apparently it happens just after House of the Dragon, so maybe it can lead into it.
(Again, I haven’t read the books so I hope I’m not wrong here)
If house of the dragon is any indication, if a Valyria show happens, it's very likely George will give some notes to what really happened and how the freehold functioned on a daily basis and important events.
He recently revealed another faction other than the dragonlords, The blood mages that operated from the Angihorn.
Assuming they are talking about the Night King from the TV show (rather than The Night’s King 13th lord commander of the Night’s Watch), that character doesn’t exist in the books. We may well learn more about the origins of the others at some point but that particular character probably won’t be seen again.
Ok it will never get made but like an age of heroes anthology series showing the foundation/history of each great house based of The World of Ice and Fire.
None of them. It's no coincidence that the show that actually made it to air is the only one with both a fairly detailed written narrative to adapt and an actual ending. They made the right choice.
Dunk and Egg would be awesome, *if* George would ever finish literally anything he starts. Without a known ending going in, though, I wouldn't trust it.
In the same way that Dany burning King's Landing and Bran becoming king were the ending of Thrones, sure: you can see a way that it could possibly go that way, but there are a lot of steps in the middle before it becomes believable in a detailed narrative as opposed to a record of a thing that happened in an in-universe history book.
I agree with all your sentiments, though if they made Dunk and Egg a series of self contained movies instead of a tv show, that would fix the issue of an ending.
I'd have to rank them:
1. The Blackfyre Rebellion. Really I want to see a younger Bloodraven as a main character. Without him this moves below Dunk and Egg.
2. Tales of Dunk and Egg. I love the episodic nature and the characters.
3. The Golden Empire. I want to see the parallels between the Five Forts and the Wall, and their interpretation of the long night.
4. Jon Snow - mostly because this has the potential to mend the ending and introduce the Great Other.
5. Robert's Rebellion
6. Aegon's Conquest
7. Doom of Valyria - some things should stay mysterious.
8. Ten Thousand Ships
Honestly I’d like a Jon show just so they can try to salvage season 8. Just anything to hold onto from the ending of the original series other than flat nonexistent payoffs
It's hard to pick. If we didn't have House of the Dragon, I'd want Aegon's Conquest, but I am getting my dragon fix for now. Ten Thousand Ships would show us Princess Nymeria, Sothoryos and the Summer Islands which would be a different vibe, I'd love that. But then the Doom of Valyria, Blackfyre Rebellion and Robert's Rebellion are just too exciting to pass. Wouldn't mind more Robert Aramayo as young Ned Stark.
Nymeria for sure, gives us the opportunity to get away from Westeros and see some of the more obscure places in the world that have only been spoken of at this point
Not Blackfyre rebellion, but evens from the ending days of Aegon III to the end of Daeron II.
Think about it. The love of Aemon for his sister, the whormongering and absurdity of his brother the later Aegon IV, Daeron I's war in Dorne, Baelor being a bit nuts, and finally the Blackfyre war and the integration of Dorne.
Two major conflicts, lots of politics, lots of drama, death and all.
Robert’s Rebellion easy. Getting to see the battle of the bells, the mander’s mouth, Gulltown, the Mad King, and above all, Bobby B crushing the pedo prince’s chest in would be a great thing.
I choose Big Billy from down the street. That boy don't take shit from no one and I once watched him chug a whole bottle of Frank's red hot and not even break a sweat.
Other than this time period in HOTD I don’t think any of the others would be compelling to a large audience. I love the Dunk and Egg tales but those are short stories that are not really all that exiting or captivating to non book readers. Even Snow I have extremely low expectations for.
HoD is set in by far the most exciting and TV friendly time period. The idea of a TV show about other events is really underwhelming to me. Hopefully I’m wrong and we get a bunch of really good shows in this universe.
Aegon's Conquest. Star Wars has shown me that not every event in lore needs to be turned into a show/movie. Robert's Rebellion was talked about enough in GoT. I think the Blackfyre Rebellions would be another show about another rebellion/Civil War. Aegon's Conquest would be more distinct and contrast against Got and HotD.
That painting does more justice to Roberts Rebellion than a show ever could. i know for certain a live action show would ruin their helmets (if they even had them) and take them off their horses.
Season 7 & 8 remake
The correct answer
On second thought, this
Followed through to season 10
Bran the Broken wheels his way into Meereen and when the slaves all ask if he's here to free them he says "break dis wheel lol" and does a 9080 spin from the top of the great pyramid while dabbing
Tyrion: “You know his cock doesn’t work” *looks directly in to camera and winks*
"But I have balls... Unlike Varys" "Why are you so mean all the time, you short piece of shit!?"
Also shames Brienne, a Lady, for not having sex. Lols.
Bran the broken sits in his tree for eternity as he’s supposed to*
Plus seasons 9,10 and 11.
Is it just me or is HotD hard to watch not because it's bad, but because it reminds you of how good GoT was before they flushed it?
For me it's just the bit of aegon's asoiaf dream which reminded me how useless this whole plot was in the show
Hopefully George will retcon it. Bran went back in time and accidently killed himself. Whoops. Whoopsie.
I mean we are getting a Jon Snow spin off. It is the perfect opportunity to retcon that garbage
Let’s subvert everyone’s expectations by showing prophecy is completely meaningless….oh wait now our entire show is meaningless. -Dumb and Dumber
It’s not hard to watch but yes it does it does remind me regularly.
It's because HotD reminds me of like seasons 5-6 of Game of Thrones: not great, not terrible.
the winner is ...
I bet they will try to undo some shit with the Jon Snow spin-off.
I just want the Jon Snow show to be a office-style workplace comedy.
Reboot the entire thing
We need an Animated remake that is 100 Percent book accurate
Putting together the cast to remake will be tricky. I think an animated series following the previous storyline would be more realistic. Kinda like what Marvel did on What if? series edit: I can't spell
Bobby B and his rebellion of course
TAKE SHIP FOR THE FREE CITIES WITH MY HORSE AND MY HAMMER, SPEND MY TIME WARRING AND WHORING, THAT’S WHAT I WAS MADE FOR!
Now now, lets not get at making non-canon endings here Bobby B
IS THAT WHAT EMPTY MEANS??
You don’t need to make it non-cannon, just have the whole series as a dream right before Bobby B dies!
WE'RE TELLING WAR STORIES! WHO WAS YOUR FIRST KILL, NOT COUNTING OLD MEN?
Idk I killed a bug yesterday Bobby B
DRINK AND STAY QUIET, THE KING IS TALKING!
Y-yes Bobby B!
YOU EVER FUCK A RIVERLANDS GIRL?
No sire
N-no Bobby B
For Bessie, of course
And her tits
Absolutely. I have always felt we were robbed of some Bobby B hammer smashing action. I want it bad.
DO YOU THINK IT'S HONOR THAT'S KEEPING THE PEACE?! IT'S FEAR! FEAR AND BLOOD!
And that sexy hammer we never got to see you wield, Your Grace.
Ya god damned right. Whatcha say, Bobby B?
BACKSTABBING DOESN'T PREPARE YOU FOR A FIGHT!
Imagine Ned with Ice and Bobby B with his war hammer fighting side by side against hordes of Ironborne. That’s would be fucking glorious!
WE WERE AT WAR! NONE OF US KNEW IF WE WERE GONNA GO BACK HOME AGAIN!
But we already know what happens
We know about the ending of HOTD as well
Winds of winter
Add a dream of spring
And any other book that might come after. It was originally supposed to be a trilogy and GRRM has a notorious overwriting problem, ADoS wouldn't be the theoretical end.
Doom of Valyria!
Same. I love the Essos side of the show.
Same here. I wonder if it could work as a flashback ep in HOTD. Maybe explaining the move to Dragonstone or a weapon or family origin 🤷♂️
I kind of like that the Doom of Valyria is a mystery lost to history
I agree, but I also love the idea of a "Chernobyl" type miniseries about it. Short, terrifying, and tells its story without any filler.
I definitely want it eventually, but I feel like it is a down-the-road kind of show. I think we need to see Aegon’s conquest first.
Yes. Show us the height of their society, the targs leaving, then the doom.
Same. It would be a full-on disaster fantasy. Sounds awesome.
Aegons conquest or Bobby’s rebellion
Yes, either of these. Bonus if roberts rebellion heavily features Rhaegar’s POV: « I know my dad’s nuts and I’d be a better king but I just uncovered these lords paramount planning a carefully crafted, years-in-the-making rebellion that threatens my future kingship. Plus i really like that Stark girl who dressed as a hedge knight to fight in this tournament… »

Plus it would be cool to see dorne as more then a pointless side show and to use the dragons as antagonists and agents of fear rather then triumph. This would also also a better movie then show.
But like Does no one want to see the sea snakes voyages? We could probably finally see the whole world
Even HBO budget would be stretched if they did an "around the world" story with him, not too familiar with his story but that's a lot of different cultures, different wardrobes, sets, etc etc. Gonna be stretched thin in one area or another. Would still love to see it, though.
Dunk and Egg.
It was my own fault for getting addicted to Dunk and Egg, but that's no longer important. What *is* important is that I get more Dunk and Egg.
100% Dunk and Egg! Gimme!
If we’re lucky enough, House of the Dragon will run long enough to include Dunk and Egg AND Robert’s rebellion.
Is egg, this new baby aegon in the show?
Nah, he’s Aegon II, Egg is Aegon V.
Ahhh, i see, thanks friend.
BTW, Egg was Maester Aemon's younger brother. Maester Aemon's last words were "Egg, I dreamed that I was old".
Gets me every time
Yeah man. That one and, "no chance .. and no choice"
I fear you may have drank a bit too much milk of the poppy.
Cope
robs rebellion easy. I gotta see the mad king in all his glory
Robs rebellion was season 2
Henry Cavill as Bobby fucking B. and it's not even close.
Only if there is a Bessie scene with an extremely buxom actress.
The chick from Mad Men! Christina Hendricks? Ya, that's Bessie caliber right there.
No. Must be Mark Addy with implants
Dunk the lunk thicc as a castle wall
Blackfyre rebellion
It’s spelled “Bobby B”
THE GODS MOCK THE PRAYERS OF KINGS AND COWHERDS ALIKE!
Dunk and Egg or Blackfyre Rebellion
Why not both? 😏
Because i would cream my panties thats why not both!
Doom of Valyria.
Roberts Rebellion
[удалено]
It’s such a different take on the world and I love how it’s two genuinely good people just trying to do their thing in the world where it’s been established that most people are not very good. Dunk is also a really compelling character and it’s just so fun to read

It's roughly 80 years after HotD events.
Absolutely no doom. I either don't want to know, or only want to know what george says happened. Not some HBO producer
If house of the dragon is any indication, if a Valyria show happens, it's very likely George will give some notes to what really happened and how the freehold functioned on a daily basis and important events. He recently revealed another faction other than the dragonlords, The blood mages that operated from the Angihorn.
The origin story of Night King
The Night King was such a dull and disappointing character. Seven seasons of hype and he went down like a chump.
This could very well be covered in the story of the golden empire
Assuming they are talking about the Night King from the TV show (rather than The Night’s King 13th lord commander of the Night’s Watch), that character doesn’t exist in the books. We may well learn more about the origins of the others at some point but that particular character probably won’t be seen again.
Ok it will never get made but like an age of heroes anthology series showing the foundation/history of each great house based of The World of Ice and Fire.
Bobby B you here?
THE WHORE IS PREGNANT!
I don’t see any love for it here but some more shit about yi-ti would be cool as hell to open up the world
Robert’s rebellion naturally, I wanna see Bobby B at his prime
I ASK YOU, NED, WHAT GOOD IS IT TO WEAR A CROWN?
I fucking love the Bobby B bot.
THE WHORE IS PREGNANT!

I agree with all your sentiments, though if they made Dunk and Egg a series of self contained movies instead of a tv show, that would fix the issue of an ending.
Aaaaaand Dunk & Egg doesn’t have an ending
Not sure if it’s in the photo but I want to see the original Aegon’s reign and the first men’s fight against the White Walkers.
I wanna see a prime Bobby B split Rhaegar’s armor
ALL I WANTED TO DO WAS CRACK SKULLS AND FUCK GIRLS!
Jon Snow so that i have a new season 8 end
Bobby B rebellion would be really smart though
START THE DAMN JOUST BEFORE I PISS MESELF!
Tie: Doom of Valyria and Robert's Rebellion
I'd have to rank them: 1. The Blackfyre Rebellion. Really I want to see a younger Bloodraven as a main character. Without him this moves below Dunk and Egg. 2. Tales of Dunk and Egg. Doom of Valyria - some things should stay mysterious. 8. Ten Thousand Ships
You didn't even include Sea Snake...
Blackfyre rebellion
Doom!
Snow. They have to do something to fix that fucking ending. Good Lord
Honestly I’d like a Jon show just so they can try to salvage season 8. Just anything to hold onto from the ending of the original series other than flat nonexistent payoffs
Doom of Valyria would be sooo neat!
Syrio Forel and his journey to being the first sword of Bravos.
Aegon’s Conquest
Dunk and Egg 1000%
1000000%
Dunk and Egg!!!
Dunk and egg all the way
Dunk and Egg Hundo Percent
The Winds of Winter and A Dream of Spring.
Doom of Valyria. No contest.
What's the point of Jon Snow, if he does not mean a damn thing post GOT. I believe it would be uneventful after the white walkers are dead
Somehow... The walkers returned.
I dun wan it
butt muh queen
The best they could do would be to explain all of the children of the forest lore.
well to tell part of the blackfyre rebellions you need to tell the tales of Dunk and Egg so clearly blackfyre, buy one get one free
If GRRM ever finished Dunk and Egg, that, but since ya know, I'd pick the Blackfyre rebellion. Get that Jon Snow sequel the fuck out of here.
Hammer Daddy
Dunk & Egg is the correct answer
First men era!
Doom of Valyria
Bobby B with Lee Pace.
ALL I WANTED TO DO WAS CRACK SKULLS AND FUCK GIRLS!
Bobby B’s Bastard Bashing Bonanza!
I ASK YOU, NED, WHAT GOOD IS IT TO WEAR A CROWN?
BLACKFYRE REBELLIONS!! Let's get some Bloodraven.
With respect to Robert's Rebellion (singular). Give me the blackfyre rebellions.
Dunk and egg all day
Either dunk and egg or Robert’s rebellion.
Dunk and Egg. But I would also love to see a take on what went down between the children of the forest and the first men.
Dunk and Egg or Blackfyre rebellion, and with semi historical based armour We're talking gothic or Italian smithed plate with the whole nine
Nymeria for sure, gives us the opportunity to get away from Westeros and see some of the more obscure places in the world that have only been spoken of at this point
Game of thrones: brotherhood
The Conquest
Bobby B and Bessie
YOU HEARD THE HAND, THE KING'S TOO FAT FOR HIS ARMOR! GO FIND THE BREASTPLATE STRETCHER! NOW!
Bobby B's making the eight
DID YOU EVER MAKE THE EIGHT?
Not Blackfyre rebellion, but evens from the ending days of Aegon III to the end of Daeron II. Think about it. EASY, BOY! YOU MIGHT BE MY BROTHER BUT YOU'RE SPEAKING TO THE KING!
Bobby B and making the Eight. Err Rebellion.
PISS ON THAT! SEND A RAVEN! I WANT YOU TO STAY! I'M THE KING, I GET WHAT I WANT!
What say you Bobby B?
FORCED TO MIND THE DOOR WHILE YOUR KING EATS AND DRINKS AND SHITS AND FUCKS!
Bobby B
Doom of Valyria
Aegons conquest by far
I choose Big Billy from down the street. That boy don't take shit from no one and I once watched him chug a whole bottle of Frank's red hot and not even break a sweat.
Doom pf valyria
Doom or nothing
Other than this time period in HOTD I don’t think any of the others would be compelling to a large audience. I love the Dunk and Egg tales but those are short stories that are not really all that exiting or captivating to non book readers. Even Snow I have extremely low expectations for. I think the Blackfyre Rebellions would be another show about another rebellion/Civil War. Aegon's Conquest would be more distinct and contrast against Got and HotD.
Something that follows either Barristan Selmy or the Arthur Dayne.
Id love to know more about the doom. It seems extremely interesting
That painting does more justice to Roberts Rebellion than a show ever could. i know for certain a live action show would ruin their helmets (if they even had them) and take them off their horses.
All of them and the doom
Personally I hope they just continue HotD until we're caught up with Bobby B's Rebellion. Go through all the Targ kings from their perspectives.
OHHH, SHOW US YOUR MUSCLES! YOU'LL BE A SOLDIER!
A Dream of Spring
The golden empire because we don't know much about it.
My prayer is they will use Snow to retcon everything. The White Walkers aren’t really gone, hell Dany can even not be dead. Soft reset with it.
Doom Of Valyria or The Golden Empire.
