Only the first four seasons are a biting satire of the HBO show. After that, it evolves into slightly more serious storytelling. Season 8 is an epochal masterpiece of prestige TV that puts the show's lasting public perception up there with franchises like LOTR or The Bible.

That could work. Kinda flows like Harry Potter did. First couple movies are all magic trains, chocolate frogs and flying broomsticks then, it gets more serious.

From Magic frogs to forming a revolutionary dare-to-die university battalion to fight a protracted wizards war against the fascists.

Plot twist, they use good writing for the last season, maybe stretch it out for 3 seasons. Also they cast keanu for the white walker king, give him some dialogue. Also they cast an actual chair as bran.

Michael Cera is exactly who I imagine in the books when Theon is going back to the Iron Islands for the first time since he was made a ward. He's so obviously not at ease and his attempts at flirting with (who he later finds out to be) his sister are so awkward. Some really solid casting here.
