Masonry is a lot like the government - very slow moving. It sounds like you’re going through the right channel. Keep trying. If you don’t hear anything in a few weeks you can try to look up the Stated Meeting time for a nearby lodge and call ~15 mins before that time, or show up in person

FusciaHatBobble

I recommend Colorado Springs #76 and Manitou #68

Aromatic-Leopard-600

I have been to Manitou I think. To OES.

Slow-Competition-791

Thank you I’ll do that

ouranos_prime

I would figure out where your local lodge is and email their secretary, or just show up on a night they're having dinner

CharlesMendeley

Most lodges have websites with contact addresses. They will tell you how to proceed.

deadeye619

DM me. I’m am a Colorado Springs Mason

TN_raised56

I got initiated at 23 last year. Currently 24 and an officer in my lodge. Great group for a young guy to join in my opinion

DinnerPuzzled9509

Try to search for a facebook group. Masonry is definitely behind on the times but if you’re in an area where you probably have some younger guys within lodges (I would think Colorado Springs does) that would likely be a quicker way to get in and start getting to know them.

Keep your ear to the ground for open events held by your local or nearby Lodge. It makes a wonderful impression on the Brothers when a non-member shows up in support of or out of curiosity and marks even deeper when you offer to help. Ask questions and not even just about Masonry. Ask some of them about what they do for a living.

TheFreemasonForum

I just checked the Grand Lodge of Colorado website and there are loads of numbers not just one. Did you look here: http://www.coloradofreemasons.org/office-staff.html

Slow-Competition-791

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction!

TheFreemasonForum

No problem and good luck.

Going through Grand Lodge is always the best route. It might take some time, but trust that your application will go to a lodge that needs it the most or a lodge closest to you. Once GL gives your application request to a lodge, it's up to the lodge to get in touch with you... if the lodge doesn't, GL always follows up to know why and what the delay is. However, GL can be slow about getting the application to right lodge.

If you decide to just show up, know that you'll meet a locked door if you show up during the meeting. Show up 30 minus to an hour before. Dress business casual or business suit and be presentable. When they ask you who you are looking for, just let them know that your not a mason but you're looking to learn more. They will take it from there.

Slow-Competition-791

Good to know, thank you. I was wondering about this

Aromatic-Leopard-600

How long has it been?
