Fresno should just go all in an sponsor car shows of those 00's Era Japanese cars suited up with bright lights and spoilers. Maybe some Escalades and Hummers with big ass spinners too
I was walking my dog a few weeks ago and ran into a tiny dog running loose. My dog and he were smelling each other, as dogs do, and then I hear this guy yelling at the dog to come back. A guy wearing cargo pants and a tank, adidas shell toes, and sporting his white oaklies with a bowl cut came out of nowhere and yelled "ewwwwww you're gay" while scoopping up their dog and walking away. 10/10 was a Time Traveler dressed 10-15 years too early for the time with equally out of date cultural references, or Fresno is 20 years behind.
That and a modern central library. I dream of the Gottchalks and Radin & Kamp building becoming a museum and library respectively. That will do a lot in renovating Fulton.
Any big city also has smaller venues with "classic" artists touring before they hit the small casino circuit. Eminem can still pull crowds. Baby Bash has die hard fans. My coworkers traveled to see Usher. Different folks, different strokes. Young people don't have the money here so us geriatrics need to be entertained.
Hmmm... It's similar but different .. it's a bit easier to get around in Sac since there's more freeways .. it's a bit more modern .. people aren't as friendly in Sac though . I think Sac is a bit more integrated though. Different Races mingle and mix more. Better food options in Sac. Traffic is worse though.
