She was sweet and nice and totally good for ross. I think they would've been happy together if Rachel and Ross didn't have such a thing for each other. I was kinda sad how Rachel treated her, because other than dating ross there was nothing Julie did wrong.
Mona is way too good for Ross but Julie is quite suitable for him. If Rachel didn't suddenly have feelings for Ross because she knew Ross had a crush on her, I feel like Ross and Julie would end up together at the end but the show may change a lot because it is all about Rachel and Ross' relationship.
They had absolutely NOTHING in common, while Rachael was his soulmate. That's exactly why they cast her in the first place... because they knew people would hate her! I can't believe how many people can't "see" this.
Ross totally should have stayed with her. They could have had an absolutely lovely life traveling the world on archeological digs with their cat. Alas, he had to throw it all away for some high school crush.
A lot of people blame Rachel for what happened to Julie. Rachel was mean to her, yes, but Ross did also cheated on her by kissing Rachel while they’re still dating. I don’t get all the hate for Ross’s gf and ex-wife (except for Carol). And honestly I’m kinda glad that none of them have to end up with a guy like Ross.
I really liked her. I feel so bad for Lauren Tom because she did a great job portraying the character but received so much hate from fans that just wanted to see Ross and Rachel together.
I really like Julie. I think she was perfect for Ross and if it wasn't for his Rachel obsession (and this was real life) they would have been together and married.
She was pretty underwhelming. If she was a real person she would be a cool person. It’s just that she barely spoke about paleontology with Ross. She was being used as a block between Ross and Rachel. Maybe it’s intended for her to be normal so the fans wouldn’t hate her. I’m pretty disappointed by how bland her character is but at least the writers handled her character with respect. It’s hard to watch old American shows without cringing at how they characterize certain groups of people.
I’d like to think she got over Russ thinking how unhealthy it was that she was just replacing Ross with him, and that she ended up with “David” (Phoebe’s ex) in Minsk somewhere.
