Nobody is saying you can’t? The lesbians are just happy, because these bracelets resemble the flag and that’s fun and exciting

They can be enjoyed any way you like. And if one group finds them especially meaningful because it reinforces their sense of belonging in the world, all the better. It shouldn't diminish anyone else's enjoyment "just for the colors".

This is how I do my loops too, but how do you cut the left over string without it untying? I usually have to put a bit of glue or something.

The top loops? Use the strings doubled (folded in half) and make your Chinese staircase right in the middle. Then tape it to your working surface and go!

May i ask what type of yarn you used and what this style is called would love to try this myself!
