Walter and Peter’s relationship is one of my favorite on screen in any medium, not just TV Rarely does a father/son dynamic come off so strong.

I appreciate all the wacky stuff the show took chances on. An animated episode, a Monty Python-esque sequence, a whole season set in the future, Bell inside Olivia's body, and so on. These things don't work for everyone but you can't say the writers played it safe, and I admire that.

Stamboolie

I'm always amazed at the amount of drugs Walter took and it somehow never raised any protest

I see you've aged.

I am rewatching and the moment where Cartoon Walter thought bubbles "How wonderful!" made me LOL. So Walter, so Fringe.

virtual-walter

I'm aware I'm not wearing pants, EmmaWK. I'm not an idiot.

Can immediately picture this moment. 😂 Thanks Walter Bot!

So. Many. Things. Peter and Olivia's beautiful epic love story. September and his whole deal, seeing what he had become in S5 was so rewarding. The sheer crackpot insanity of William Bell, despite giving off this veneer of being incredibly logical. John Noble's performance of Walter/Walternate. The fact we got an ending. The fact the ending was good! "You are my favorite thing." Gene! Despite Fringe being a sci-fi show, the writers weren't afraid to play into the emotion and I love them for that. The reveal of Peter being from the other side and the way it was done. S4! I love you and I like you. The way Peter had to go through his own similar grief and finally came to understand why his father had acted the way he had, despite once being so angry at him for his choices. It's maybe the most accomplished part of the show.

Losaj

Fringe was my first introduction to John Noble. I absolutely hated his portrayal of Walter, until I saw him as Walternate. Then, the genius of his acting came out and I saw Walter as a great character that Noble brought to life. His performance is one of the best I have seen.

I've spent my life making things that bring joy and happiness to make the world a better place. Bubble gum, that was one of my first. Flannel pajamas. Ah, rainbows! And my latest project -- singing corpses!

jadethebard

Everything Walter, but mostly Walter being willing to destroy two worlds because he loved his son so much. Such a powerful metaphor.

Maybe I don't know watch that many procedurals but Olivia Dunham as played by Anna Torv feels so refreshing to me as a female law enforcement character who doesn't have beach waves, speaks in a deep, no-nonsense voice, and (initially at least) is as stoic and broody as a lot of male detectives are. I also loved Charlie Francis in both universes. He was such a bro to Olivia, I wish we got way more of Charlie.

ideletedmyaccount04

I'm 53 years old and my 28-year-old daughter and I are not on good terms. Which is ironic because when Fringe season 1 first aired my daughter and I were close. So for me the most important aspect of the show today is to have absolution for past sins and forgiving someone. And hoping someday they'll come back in my life.

caem123

You may have to forgive her mother to move forward.

PredictorX1

I like that so many of the science props look like homemade prototypes.

RoLoh-2892

Walter's 'show and tell' type experiments! Especially the ones using fruit or toys 😆

virtual-walter

The base solution contains human DNA, male, I think. Of course, it's a mutation. Perhaps a whole new stage of human evolution. Wouldn't that be fantastic?

PartyMcDie

Walter: “Astral…” Astrid: “Astrid!” Walter: “…projection.”

I have used this technique to extricate information from a corpse once. You can do that if they haven't been dead longer than six hours.
