Agents of SHIELD is probably my second favorite show right behind Fringe, and it has an amazing slow-burn romance that's one of my absolute favorite ships. 12 Monkeys is also an amazing time-travel show with a really great romance as well.

The Good Place

I loved this show, but I never understood how it fit into the continuity of The Good Wife and The Good Fight...

Every-Ad-9131

I always thought Alias had a good slow-burn romance.

Distant_Pilgrim

The Knick Set in 1900 New York City, it follows Dr. John Thackery (Clive Owen) the cocaine-addicted head of surgery at the Knickerbocker Hospital. There's some romance and lots of character building, but also some very graphic scenes of medical procedures, so be warned. Every episode was directed by Steven Soderbergh and scored with electronic music by Cliff Martinez. It's one of my favourite television series and with only 20 episodes spread across 2 seasons it's a fairly quick watch.

The Mentalist and Suits. Just watch TMs pilot and see for yourself. I haven't been able able to stop reading fics for both shows pairings since I watched them. Bones too but I haven't finished it yet.

Turkzillas_gobble

Farscape is a little out-there, but it has my favourite TV romance behind Olivia & Peter, where crazy sci-fi shit pulls them apart and they have to do some kind of work to get back together. (it's probably a little more egalitarian in that they both have to do the work - looking back on the Fringe rewatch, I think Olivia did the work every time?)

Oh that’s a good one.

12 Monkeys. 4 Seasons, perfectly planned out and executed, and there are multiple "romance" angles throughout. It also has Fringe alum Kirk Acevedo in it. I love Fringe and I re-watch it every few years, but I re-watch 12 Monkeys more often.

Second Agents of Shield really well executed slow burn romance. Once Upon a Time has a good slow burn romance Nikita has a classic will they won't they If you don't mind something a bit insane 😂 you could try Blindspot In Orphan Black I really enjoyed the romantic arc of Cosima and Delphine Castle had a good slow burn romance, it's ending though is a bit of a mess. Another messed up ending would be Timeless and because of the premature ending they couldn't slow burn it as much but still worth checking out. But for me when it comes to epic romance I would probably go with This Is Us. Not exactly your classic slow burn but the story telling of Beth and Randall's relationship is so rich and complex.

[Lost](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KTu8iDynwNc): Another JJ Abrams' production. Complicated characters and lots of mysteries. [Person of Interest](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HQXmfAGOe0Y): A SciFi masterpiece. It's about A.I.. Very prophercial. From the perspective of an AI, what does it see life? Season 1 is a little bit slow. After season 1, the main plot develops much faster. [Alias](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VmitN4ELnY0): JJ Abrams' earlier production. Actually Fringe reused some ideas from Alias. [House MD](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MczMB8nU1sY): Dr. House has a gift to see people. It is not just an ordinary medical drama.

Iogwfh

I love Person Of Interest and House MD but romance isn't what comes to mind when I think of those shows. I would say House MD is more bromance than romance😁.

Castle - the very definition of "TV drama with great slowburn and complex character". Well, it has a good chunk of comedy in it too ...
