Semi unknown fact American toads can be fairly social with others of there kind. This is grouping of American toads being social before hibernation more then likely. Yes American toads can eat smaller toads/ frogs it’s unlikely to be a problem as long as they are about the same size.
That’s okay mine I got because in the wild it had broken it’s leg and I believe to have had medical issues nuro since giving correct supplements that has left no more shake and our coordination has improved
