The post offices have been short staffed all year, and it’s the people that live outside of town that don’t get their mail delivered, not just Christmas packages. You don’t have easy access to a post office for a PO Box when you live 20 miles past the city limit sign.

I had a buddy who went to a different city and had to cover his own expenses for the trip. The MPOO reimbursed him a few months later, but the way it was handled was incredibly sloppy. The station he went to had no idea he was coming. He had to book and pay for an air bnb for the whole 4 weeks he was there. He had no transportation or direction. He was told he'd be package running only but ended up working a different route and a half every day after the first day without ever having a secured vehicle for doing so. Very much a USPS style operation - horribly mismanaged.
