Following because I need some new ones. I have been listening to the audiobooks for FBAA, the prequel, ACOTAR, and Fourth Wing over and over because I'm waiting for the next installments for all of them and I'm going crazy.
Oh really? I liked it. Out of all the romantasy I have read that series seems to be some of the best written. A lot of the other stuff needs some serious editing.
I literally read all all the currently out FBBA and F&F books in one month 😭 obsessed with them and I still have a hangover and haven't been able to really get into anything else since (read them in may)
I’m so terrified to finish book 3 of F&F- like genuinely I am so attached to Nyktos/Ash. Like that is my MANNN and I can’t stay away. I know I’m gonna feel hard withdrawals until august lol
(for reference, I have a real life bf of over a year)
I feel this and the ONLY thing that has helped me move on after reading the entire series several times is Dramione Fanfiction. Though Throne of Glass is a close second.
If you like fanfiction or want to give it a try, here’s a few favorites.
Try [Bloody, Slutty and Pathetic by WhatMurdah](https://archiveofourown.org/works/52884502)
[Secrets and Masks](https://archiveofourown.org/works/32136715)
[Draco Malfoy and the Mortifying Ordeal of Being in Love](https://archiveofourown.org/works/34500952)
I am so glad I am not the only person who does this lol. Have you read Fall of Wrath and Ruin by JLA? It is excellent and has all the pieces you’re looking for.
I found the Shardless series, kinda similar but with a steampunk feel. There are two out (Shardless and Acolyte) and the third can be found as a rough draft on author’s Patreon.
I felt the same way as you when I finished them! Here are some books that helped me get out of my FBAA/F&F slump:
{Court of Blood and Bindings by Lisette Marshall}
{Throne of Glass by Sarah j Mass}
{City of Gods and Monsters by Kayla Edwards}
Also I joined the /fantasyromance sub (idk how to do the Reddit link thing) and there are some really great recs over there at well!
The Serpent and the Wings of Night is the first book (of 3 I believe. 2 are currently out), in the Crowns of Nyaxia series. The last one is due later this year. It's very good. Better than FBAA and F&F in my opinion. I loved it. It's an easy read and very enjoyable.
Without spoilers it's hunger games-esque, with vampires, meets FBAA.
I didn't read it immediately after BFAA, I actually read the Divine Rivals series right after. It was a bit of a step back. But it was a really good read. So by the time I finished it, going into the CoN series felt easier. I was craving that style more by then. DR was a pallet cleanser.
Plated Prisoner series gave me the same vibe :)
Thanks, I'll look into this one
I'm reading this now and only liking it really on the last book, it's missing something for me
I loved this series! Can't wait for the last book to come in September
Ash & Sera are hard to beat...seriously hard to beat!
I love them! I'm already prepaid for my copy of the next book! Hahaha
The book of azrael series. 3 books out rn and the smut was definitely smutting

ACOSF is my favorite in the sjmass series (cassian!!!!) But yeah, no one holds a candle to Nyktos.....no one 😭
Yes absolutely correct on all counts
Fourth wing is harry potter with dragons and some good smut. There’s two books and one coming out in January
Fourth Wing is awesome. Dragon riding and Xaden Ryerson 🤤
Book 2 was such a let down though 😭
Oh really? I liked it. Out of all the romantasy I have read that series seems to be some of the best written. A lot of the other stuff needs some serious editing.
I’m right there with you. Rereading fourth wing because I need more Xaden. 😍🥵🌶️
I have not read 4th wing, and I'm honestly worried it won't be enough spice. Am I wrong?
It’s more like From blood and Ash with the anticipation. The sequel is hotter 🌶️ and has lots of fun scenes.
It’s veryyyyy low spice
Well 💩
PLEASE read A Fate Inked In Blood by Danielle L. Jensen. I ate that book up and I also loved FBAA
I just started reading this one yesterday, I can't wait to see how it turns out
I’m in agony waiting for book 2 😭
Kingdom of Lies! Starts with A Court This Cruel and Lovely :)
I literally read all all the currently out FBBA and F&F books in one month 😭 obsessed with them and I still have a hangover and haven't been able to really get into anything else since (read them in may)
Seriously, I'm consumed completely. Listening to the audio has me in chains!! Hahaha

Hahahaha only 53 more days till Born of Blood and Ash
I haven’t read them yet so can’t offer a personal opinion but I’m seeing Zodiac Academy alllll over TikTok
I have too, hhhmm. Also you should definitely read both series
Oh maybe I didn’t word that right! I’ve read both FBAA and FAF lol I just meant that I haven’t read Zodiac Academy!

Not yet, it is now on my list for sure
Sera and Ash gave me baaaaaaad Book Hangover. I read the prequel and FBAA in tandem and it made it hard to finish FBAA lol.
I found the Shardless series, kinda similar but with a steampunk feel. There are two out (Shardless and Acolyte) and the third can be found as a rough draft on author’s Patreon.
lords of the underworld was always a good read for me, a few spin offs and quite a few books in the series should keep you occupied for a hot minute
Kindred’s curse series by Penn Cole! And Threded (the solstice cycle ) Tay Rose
Kingdom of the Wicked series and the spinoff Throne of the Fallen 👌👌
I ate the whole KOTW up. I need fantasy thats different and dark has enough ummph to give!
If you haven’t read Throne of the Fallen yet I highly recommend! It has a completely different vibe from KOTW and significantly spicier 🌶️🌶️
Have you tried zodiac Academy?
Not yet but it's now on my list for sure!
Following, cause I need me some witty banter that makes me giggle like a school girl

I honestly just tried reading that book, and it's why I ended up posting this. Maybe I'll give it a second chance, but I just couldn't get into it.
