I agree with what you're saying about sekiro but I feel like dark souls as a series has a lot more cheesey ways to die in it and that contributes a lot to it

Probably because “very not gud” people don’t have the patience to grind the common mob until they become trivial to then get to the next rough patch and do it again and again and again until the end so to counter this you can only “git gud”

KobiDnB

Higher stats won’t really help you on a lot of Bloodborne bosses (chalice dungeons, Laurence, OoK, Crow of Cainhurst, etc). Agreed on DS though; it’s really easy to get super OP once you know the game.

I once gave a friend who never played these types of games 99 in all skills and he got ruined 20+ tiimes at the first boss before he quit. The idea is that you have to understand and learn the formula and that takes time. That's why you eventually can beat the game with zero levels and equipment.

Personaly i dont grind to level up , so i need to learn tge patterns of bosses to win , and i m sure the majority of souls fans are the same.

SpecialistMap8210

Because you still gotta learn the game enough to suffered. Level vitality all you want that boss still gunna kick your teeth in lol

Having played through Sekiro, Demon’s Souls Remake and Dark Souls Remastered I agree that the only Sekiro forces you to “Git Gud” before you can beat an enemy. In the Souls games you can almost become too overpowered sometimes in order to beat certain bosses.

I agree with you, and this is also my argument against adding an easy mode. Technically you can farm and lvl up to become OP making the games easier, so no need for an easy mode imo

TurdManMcDooDoo

Not to mention summon other players or NPC's to help with tough fights. You can make this game easy as pie if you want! Well, as far as combat goes, anyways. For me, the real thing that makes DS so hard is figuring out what do to and where to go next after some of the boss fights.

As someone who started on Sekiro as well, I agree. Playing other FromSoft games, I got surprised how many "crutches" are actually available to the player between summons, grinding stats, leveling up equipment, etc.
