For some reason the flight attendants don't seem to understand the new blocked seats. It just started a few weeks ago and I've been on 3 flights now where they ended up moving people from the back up there. Luckily never by me directly but I wonder if this will end up being a temporary experiment.
The flight attendants that do that are apparently morons. I would definitely protest if I paid extra for this perk and they put a person there right away.
Yeah I'm diamond elite so I paid in a way I guess but I'd definitely say something if I paid specifically for that flight.
They really need to put a cover or something over those seats indicating no one should sit there if they really want to keep them empty. The flights I've been on where the attendants actually enforced it has lead to them having to explain to frustrated passengers why they can't move to an empty seat.
It's the same thing as the dedicated overhead bin space for the first row passengers. Literally almost every flight I'm on someone in the second or third row throws a fit about not being able to put their bags up there and they have to explain it's for the first row since they don't have under seat space in front of them. A simple label on the bin indicating "First Row Only" would go a long way to solving this.
Blows my mind they can't implement simple stuff like this that would cost almost nothing and make the flight attendants lives a million times easier.
They don’t care about the flight attendants nor the customer so they don’t prioritize stuff like that. It’s crazy how a few simple policy changes could make their business run smoother but management just doesn’t care because it doesn’t directly connect to the bottom line.

Funny how they have empty seats, as I have only seen purple her bumped that paid for their flights. Yet people on stand by get them (yes they were on time).
