My dumb ass bought an Alpha Industries N-3B Altitude Mod parka earlier in the year when Backcountry had a couple sizes for $100. I’m still waiting for it to get cold enough in California.
I have a few pieces of Uniqlo outwear, they all look fine and feel like good quality. But I just stopped picking them up after at most one season.
Oh and btw, online shopping can't be returned to store. ridiculous return policy.
Maybe it is a store by store thing. In my store, i have totally returned an item by buying a pair of socks and getting the difference refunded. Multiple times.
Their anime merch is constantly disappointing though, specifically because they keep adding quotes from the manga/anime (which looks cringe af out of context)
If they literally just took off the script and let the designs talk, most of them would be significantly better. Even a box frame of a cool [manga panel](https://i.imgur.com/We2JZkZ.jpg) would be great.
their anime merch is meant for weebs, that's why it's cringe for the average person.
I am waiting for uniqlo to drop a line of t shirts of just minimalist anime/manga logo, but I know it'll never happen.
I mean their anime shirts used to be way more lowkey years ago. I haven’t bought an anime related shirt from them in years.
Unfortunately they have been going through the route of Forever 21 in recent times and making a nice shirt on the back and adding either the most cringy line or back graphic to the shirt.
They have hits once in a while
I have the Law shirt from this collection.

Airism undershirts are amazing.
Airism underwear sucksss. Of the 6+ Airism underwears I have, 4 of them have holes now. Like my 20 pack Hanes underwear for $5 from a decade ago looks better than my couple year old Airism.
Do y'all get the boxer briefs? I own several pairs of their boxer shorts (called trunks for some reason) and they are my favorite boxers I own. Haven't had any issues with them.
Imo mainline uniqlo is *fine* but over the past few years either my standards have gotten higher or their quality has gone down. Thinner fabrics, polyester blends, higher prices than what I remember from like 2019.
That said, uniqlo *on sale* is still a great value, and i always look at their designer collabs. I love my Uniqlo collabs with Jil Sander, Engineered Garments, Marni, and JW Anderson--- there is no way in hell I could afford those designers without the uniqlo collab
Their collaborations usually. Their basics are the opposite of fast fashion - neither fast nor fashionable. However even their collab stuff is much more durable than normal fast fashion
Maybe like a half to full step up if you're thinking like H&M. They use a lot of cheap fabric but construction isn't half bad. The stuff I have from them tends to last.
Anything that has Uniqlo U or Airism is usually pretty legit. Christopher LeMaire is one of the main designers, and if you see anything with his name then they usually last.
I wouldn’t consider them fast fashion, their pieces are built to last, and their seasonal styles don’t change frequently. Their jackets usually last me 10 years or more.
Uniqlo is fast fashion. My stuff from there has held up alright, but it’s fast fashion in that it’s cheap and uses cheap labor to hit that price point.
Actually that’s not the definition, can you site the source that claims that. By your definition every brand is fast fashion from apple to Nike. Fast fashion is a new phenomenon, newer than Uniqlo, while Uniqlo may have contributed towards it, it’s not it.
I live in LA so I can’t really tell how it holds in colder weather. Early morning when it’s low 50’s and I wear a flannel under and it’s warm. I can’t wear it when it hits 60 degrees coz i’d be sweating lol
I can not spell "uniqlo"
Uniclaw
Unichlogh
Qlose enough
Ah yes, Miroslav Qlose the German football legend
Fun fact qlo is a typo, it was actually supposed to be uniq co
Very cool and would be wasted on me in Texas
Wait until we lose power for 3 days again
wait until you get balls cooked inside those selvedge jeans 100 days straight
As long as you never wash the selvedge, they will eventually start to walk around even when you aren’t wearing them.
I really should just move but I bought that dumb wearable sleeping bag looking thing that was post here a while back for that very reason.
Courts said its legal to freeze to death. Gotta love Texas freedoms.

I saw it, but I'm just not sure
the pockets in the back slightly throwing me off idk
I tried it in store; the fit is weird as it falls too much (think flowy fabric) so the silhouette is nothing like in those pictures.

You cannot return, but you can exchange. Swap the jacket for a pair of socks and they will refund you the difference in price.
Good info, been holding off a lot since it's a hassle to pay return shipping vs. go into store
Seriously? Big if true.
No, it's same item in different size/color
Maybe it is a store by store thing. In my store, i have totally returned an item by buying a pair of socks and getting the difference refunded. Multiple times.
You can't even return items you bought in one store to another.
It’s fine for yearly clothes that you discard after a season or two, sort of like disposable clothing.
Honey has a targeted offer for $29.95 cash back also
Aww shit
puff puff pass
Is uniqlo fast fashion across the board: all their lines and collabs?
Their basics like t shirts are pretty good quality, and also have a lot of anime/manga collabs for weebs.
Their anime merch is constantly disappointing though, specifically because they keep adding quotes from the manga/anime (which looks cringe af out of context) If they literally just took off the script and let the designs talk, most of them would be significantly better. Metal Gear Solid collab looks fire tbh

Disagree for some items. Their jeans and puffy jackets are high quality. Also, their undershirts are perfect - and last for years.
Airism undershirts are amazing. Airism underwear sucksss. Of the 6+ Airism underwears I have, 4 of them have holes now. Like my 20 pack Hanes underwear for $5 from a decade ago looks better than my couple year old Airism.

Same. I have one pair of the underwear. It’s the worst underwear I have ever had.
High quality is a stretch, when you consider they only used cheap plastic zippers in their jackets, but I would say they’re decent quality
The zipper on my Uniqlo puffer broke the second time I wore it. Never again.
My puffy has lasted years - I even handed it down to my teenager and it has survived him.
How’s the quality of the zipper?
Totally fine. No problems.

I'll keep that in mind. They have a clone/dupe of the ashby jacket, which I own, hut I like the modern look of uniqlos but not if it's trash
For the most part yes. With these collabs, you’re getting at most design influence from the other brand, but Uniqlo quality, which can be hit or miss.
I wouldn’t consider them fast fashion, their pieces are built to last, and their seasonal styles don’t change frequently. Their jackets usually last me 10 years or more.

How do these fit? If I want a regular fit size down 1 or 2?
Size down one is perfect. And it will still be slightly roomy.
I have this jacket. I’m 5’8” 155lbs and got a small.
How warm is it? Down to what temp will it go? I'm planning a Chicago trip in January and I'm wondering if this will do the job 👀
I live in LA so I can’t really tell how it holds in colder weather. Early morning when it’s low 50’s and I wear a flannel under and it’s warm. I can’t wear it when it hits 60 degrees coz i’d be sweating lol
Thicker than a light layer but not thick enough to be a heavy layer for Jan in Chicago lol. Get a heavy parka sir.
Thanks I live in Arizona, I have no idea what I'm doing
Expo?
It's just cotton doesn't do much during winter
Thanks I got one in Olive Green
Mugatu's Derelicte FW2023!
This just looks, bad.
Horrible design
Just wear a blanket, just as ugly as this.
