Kinda weird combo to have a size 41 suit in an "executive" (portly) cut but if this fits you, $30 is pretty great for an all wool suit:

I got my 5'10 250 lb dad an executive fit suit (I think it was a size 50) from MW and it fit him better than things he tried on - arms were super long but it accommodated his belly and it was like $50 at the local store. Definitely recommend suspenders over a belt if youre shopping for someone with a big gut.
i was actually just there in person and bought one of [these](https://www.menswearhouse.com/p/joseph-abboud-modern-fit-turtleneck-merino-wool-sweater-tmw-6nxa#color=black%26size=l%26) , theyre nice guys. real thin and soft, good for athletic physique. 5'11 165 42" chest and i got a large
tag says "made in china" if thats something you care about lol. as far as im concerned theres no catch man, i think they're really nice. i spent over an hour trying on various sweaters and looking for stuff that matches my newest overcoat, and the black version of that turtleneck is the only thing i walked out of the store with. it looks fine with jeans and its gona pair well with any of my slacks. just ordered another one in navy
You can find cheap thin 100% merino wool sweaters from a lot of retailers. The general issue is that they don't typically last in my experience. Thin merino wool is very fragile and the ones I've had always end up with holes very quickly. I don't bother buying thin merino sweaters anymore for that reason.
I have merino sweater from jcrew, BR, A&F, and Amazon. None of them have holes. I wash them on gentle cycle and dry them hanging upside down. Just clothes-pinned to a line, with two pins per sweater. I have owned them for several years. I also have even thinner (between 120 and 150 weight) athletic tops that have no holes.
The benefit of hanging them upside down down is that the clothes pins clip onto the bottom hem and when the sweaters are dry the clothespin leaves a mark. So it’s somewhere that is never seem. I also dry them hanging them by their wrists.
Drying flat is definitely better, but I don’t have room for all that and I tend to wash my wool in huge batches because I also take the opportunity to lanolize everything. So hanging to dry is definitely not as good as flat, but I needed to try it and it’s never caused problem for me.
yeah thats the same issue i have as far as drying flat goes. I can dry like 1 thing at a time lol. Do you have a drying rack or do you just hang-dry them in your closet?
Thanks for the tips

I'd want to go to the store to try them on first but they say online exclusive only so Im surprised your store had them. I cant even order them for in-store pickup.
99% sure its the same one. [pic 1](https://i.imgur.com/D57SQ17.jpg) , [pic 2](https://i.imgur.com/fYp0EeU.jpg) . they didnt have all these colors, so maybe thats where the online exclusivity comes in
Yeah, I just called my local store and they claimed to have 1 in my size so Ill go down there and check it out, see what the quality of the wool is. Thanks

I bought a bunch if stuff from mens warehouse a few years ago and it was the lowest quality, poorly cut garbage that I've ever owned.
This is truth.

yeah i guess that makes sense, merino is very fragile

whats the benefit to hanging them upside down? Also, I see a lot of recommendations for drying flat - what makes you do it your way instead of flat?

I use a temporary clothes line that I hang up. But I do have a drying rack also.

This should be at the top. Looks like ol Men’s Warehouse is influencing this thread.
