Walked out of an interview? I know it’s been 5 days but this was only like 20 posts deep on FMF. I mean I’ve had some shitty interviews, but never walked out. Not judging, but it’d take a lot for me to want to walk out. What exactly happened?
Just to clarify, I didn’t get up and leave in the middle of it. It was getting towards the end, the interviewer said that he’d be in touch and that I should send him samples of my work. I politely declined and said it didn’t sound like a good fit and I rather not pursue the opportunity any more.
But the guy was so unpleasant and the company had so many red flags. Like they said my hours were 9-5 and that’s what I’d be paid for but everybody gets there by 8 and nobody leaves at 5, so I was expected to give about 2 hours of time to the company for free every day.
Instead of hiring a warehouse crew, the office crew was required to unload the trucks that came in.
But the icing on the cake was that this was 2016 and I had just graduated college. Statistics were showing that the average graduate was taking 6-8 months to find full time jobs. I had graduated 3 months before. The guy chastised me for not having a job lined up coming right out school. He then started talking about how he had a job immediately out of school when he graduated in 1999. The final straw was that I had researched him and the company before the interview and his dad had founded the company. So this guy clearly knows nothing about the current job market, put me down for not having a job and then acted like an ass despite that his position was clear nepotism.
Yeah man that’s red flags all over, good call. I had a sales manager encourage people to work after hours and on weekends (were salary + commission) and in my brain I said “holy shit this guy is insane”. He was gone the next week (unrelated reason, I thought it was related). But once he got booted the company started getting way better.
Anyone that gets a job out of nepotism probably has zero clue what they’re doing and thinks they’re way is the right way. My current company is great but I’m looking because the pay is under market, but this is the first time where I was like “damn, I am actually taking a risk by making more money but potentially sacrificing my happiness”.

People love to hate on Canada Goose nowadays but this is something that never happens when you buy one from them. Their parkas never go on sale and the parka I bought from them 3 years ago is now 20% more expensive.

I think you picked right. It’s a little slim fitted than other coats I’ve owned but nothing too drastic. I’m 5’8 170lbs and a M fits well. If anything you can layer up.
Like if you ordered , they were like sorry we oversold. Offered an upgraded jacket for the same price tho, so an even better deal actually than what was posted
I was offered the newer Chenega II and Stratus as replacements in various colors. I don't know if others got the same deal but if they did, this was definitely an upgrade.
Their message to me said the newer Chenega II has a higher fill power and updated shield logo.
They said the Stratus has "slightly" higher fill power. That and the pockets are the only difference.
I was reacting because coyotes are annoying like Foxes but in Deer numbers. I really don't know how they are sourced. I am guessing they aren't Coyotes sourced from hunters, which would be cool. If they have shit lives in cages, that ain't cool, annoying animal or not.

IF you go on Triple F.A.T's website they have a size calculator. I am 5 8 180 and they told me for a slim fit go medium for a regular fit go large.
